Meanwhile, a local teacher is accused online by a paedophile hunting group, and his life soon unravels as the accusations, including the snatching of the young boy, are made. Did he kidnap the child, or was it the convicted paedophile?

This is the first Lee Brook book I have read, but it certainly won't be the last. I liked the complete focus on the investigation into the disappearance of Benjamin Davidson and felt that the story followed the procedures the police had to go through really well.
I found the characters believable and was able to empathise with them as most had flaws, as you would expect from real people. I thought the plot was clever and original and I didn't figure out who the guilty party was until close to the end of the book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys police procedurals and I'm looking forward to reading another book in this series soon.

Another page turning read in the DI Beaumont crime thriller. I really enjoy this series, primarily because I live in Leeds and can vividly picture the scenes, but also these are enjoyable books with gritty storylines and interesting characters.
This book centres on the disappearance of a young boy whilst out playing and the race to find him safely and catch the kidnapper.
This is a series I highly recommend. It has action packed storylines, interesting characters and scenery, though not for the faint hearted.

A 5 year old boy goes missing. The mother is a druggie and the boyfriend is a low life. There's a known paedophile in the area and the paedo hunters are out in force. DI George Beaumont has certainly got his work cut out. This books has so many twists and turns it's like a rollercoaster so hold on tight for the ride of your life.

Page turner! I couldn't put this book down. The author has really nailed the main characters. I love the interaction between them, especially the secret love interest. This book had me guessing right from the start, as each new character is brought in.
Each new book from this author get's better and better.
I can't wait for book 5. Well done Lee.

This is my fourth book that I have read by this Author and wow Lee has done it again wrote a brilliant book which once I started reading it could not put it down. I would definitely recommend to other avid readers like me.

Brilliant book, certainly the best in the series so far in my humble opinion. Only 1 gripe, it's Xscape at Cas and not Escape! 😂
