In book 1, Escape from St. David’s, we learn that St. David’s is a cemetery in a sleepy little town where nothing much happens. The souls buried there create a community where listening to the gossip from the visitors and looking forward to meeting the new arrivals is the only excitement they have. When Wylder, an 18-year-old girl with a knack for making her own rules, arrives at St. David’s, she discovers a way to break all the souls free from the cemetery. But when things don’t go as planned, one of the souls is trapped on the wrong side of Heaven.
In book 2, The Devil’s Playground, Wylder comes back to rescue her friend, who is still trapped alone in the cemetery. Once reunited, they discover that something is shifting the delicate balance between good and evil. Wylder is now on a mission to recruit smart and committed souls to take back the future of humanity. With a team that includes a military hero, businessman, housewife, and souls of all ages, they embark on a rescue mission to save those taken to the Elsewhere who still have good to offer the world. If there is a Heaven, there must be a Hell, right?
