WOW
This book truly was a whirlwind of emotions. I could not keep my jaw off the floor with some of the things I was reading. Unfortunately, this is a story people find themselves in all too much. The author displayed each aspect so well..from the abuser, the abused, and the side characters/friends who try to support. David was a menace and he deserves less!! Allure….I have so much to say.

I couldn’t understand why you would still be attracted to a man who could choke his child’s mother..on your date..in the middle of a restaurant. First RED FLAG. And that trickled her character getting into some more trouble moving forward.
But ultimately I loved the writing and how quick of a read it was. There are a few typos, grammar issues and name problems (Katina/Katrina) but this is a book everyone should read. Especially young women !

Domestic violence
This story is an accurate reflection of the mindset of the batterer and victim in a relationship and their cycle of violence. The manipulation of the abuser and honeymoon phrases was well depicted in this power and control dynamic. The shame victims typically feel, their fear of leaving, their frustration of their love ones, the physical, psychological, and emotional scars were evident. A vital reveal was David acknowledging that sharing his background story was a tactic used to manipulate Allure. We can only hope that David’s canter will saves lives.

This book just about stressed me the hell out. I guess it’s always easy for us to say what we would and would not do in certain situations. I could not understand for the life of me why Allure didn’t leave his ass and why someone ain’t get that man some damn help cause clearly he needed it. But you can’t judge a situation that you’ve never been in. This book was very well written. The only issue I had was every other chapter the spelling of this girl name went from “Katina” to “Katrina” like ok which one is it? Lol! Just a minor spelling error that needs to be fixed.

This book was excellently written. I would love to see this on the big screen. David stressed me out. He was CRAZY with all caps. I was screaming at Allure to leave him alone when he choked his baby mama Katina in the restaurant during their date. Huge RED FLAG 🚩. I really wish she would have taken heed then and there. I hate what she had to go through, but happy for her in the end. Great job 👏🏾

The title fits the book…
This was a good read for sure awareness is important for all of us. David had wicked demons that had him but he had no remorse at all for what he was doing. He used what happened in his past to lure women. But he got what he deserved good that they both made it out alive.

Whew Lord
Omg this book was intense and had me screaming and yelling at the book. David was a sick individual and needed to be dealt with I'm glad in the end he got what he deserved and Allure was saved by the grace of God.

I had alot of Flashbacks! While reading this book. But it also help me remember to never allow myself to get into another abusive relationship..

This story was good. It’s sad what allure had to go through. I was not expecting to see Robyn in the story but I’m glad she told her about here sister story.

Once I started reading this book I was hooked! The characters jumped off the pages. Beautiful Battle Scars was a very intense read and I enjoyed every minute of it!
