Cormac makes it clear to his brothers that he’s not interested in being the next one to tie the knot. He’s met every cowgirl in their small town, and he’s very sure none of them are the one . Until Ellie Roberts shows up at their charity rodeo with her six-year-old in the middle of an asthma attack.
Farmer and crop duster pilot by day and Little League coach by night, Cormac fortunately knows how to perform emergency aid on young baseball players. Call it a perk that the kid’s mother is sweet and friendly with such sad, beautiful eyes that he finds himself doing everything he can to make her smile again. And convince her to serve as his next Team Mom. And join him on a dinner date that ends with a goodnight kiss or two or ten.
Okay, so maybe the dinner date and kisses are only wishful thinking on his part, but farmers happen to know a thing or two about how to make things grow. He’s hoping if he sows the seeds of friendship, and showers her with all the time and attention he can carve out of his busy schedule, then maybe he can get her feelings for him to blossom into love. COWBOY CONFESSIONS A complete series! Mr. Not Right for Her Mr. Maybe Right for Her Mr. Right But She Doesn’t Know It Mr. Right Again for Her Mr. Yeah, Right. As If…
The story is a sweet, clean, contemporary tale with inspirational values. The Cassidy family is a local farming family with stores and homemade items. All five of the Cassidy boys have worked the family business since they were young, and each has their own specialty. The story will focus on Cormac Cassidy, and the newcomers to Chipper, Texas, widow Ellie Roberts, and her son, Jackson. Ellie’s brother, Todd, is the new superintendent of their new school district, and Ellie is a Kindergarten teacher.
“She was still grieving for the Navy SEAL husband she’d lost and struggling to figure out her new role as a single mom.”
The story is an emotional tale of a woman losing her Navy SEAL husband, Mark, the year before, and, with the encouragement of Todd, moving away from Dallas to Chipper. What a shock to be served papers by her in-laws, Jan and Tripp, seeking custody of Jackson, and accusing her of being an unfit mother. Cormac witnesses the incident and sees how upset Ellie is, and insists on driving her home, only to learn that it is also her birthday with a surprise from Todd and Jackson, and an invitation for Coach Cormac to join them for cake. Make a wish and blow out the candle.
“Navigate us safely through this court case, Lord, and give my little family the fresh start we so desperately need this year.” –Ellie’s prayerful wish
The story will involve events, like a hoedown festival, to help raise money for playground equipment for the new elementary school. Once again, Jade corners her three single brothers-in-law to man the kissing booth—it is for the children! Jade will also help Ellie with her court case brought on by her in-laws. Then, there is a local who hangs onto Cormac like they are a couple, and he would never date her. Julie Benson has known the Cassidy brothers all her life.
What a page-turning tale of life and death, family, friends, and decisions. I loved the faith Cormac has that God brought Ellie and Jackson into his life. They have a great connection and interaction one-on-one. While a tense moment leads Ellie back to San Antonio, she reconnects with Mark’s parents, and a truce is found.
Cormac: Life is a miracle, each day is a miracle, and the way I feel when I’m with you is most definitely a miracle. Ellie: So’s the way I feel about you. I didn’t think it was possible to feel this way about anyone else.
Will Cormac and Ellie find their happiness together? What about Julie—her past with Devlin and not accepting him has led to heartache—can these two have a second chance romance?
Mr. Right But She Doesn't Know It is a story of a beautiful young widow and her son who has moved to town along with her brother for a fresh start. After losing her husband while in service and grieving for the last year, she needed to get away from Dallas. So they moved to Chipper and Ellie was going to be a kindergarten teacher while her brother Todd was going to be the new superintendent of schools. Jackson was now in school so that worked out perfect. He also was going to play ball and Cormac is the coach. Cormac asks Ellie to be the new team mom to help out. While they are sharing a meal of daily cafe leftovers, a man in a suit comes in and hands Ellie an envelope. He tells her she has been served. She opens it and then gives it to Cormac who reads it's a lawsuit from her in-laws to take Jackson away from her as she is an unfit mother. Cormac immediately gives her Jade"s card to call.
Cormac has fell for Ellie the first time he seen her but, he has made it a priority to just be a friend until she is ready to date again. Now that she has moved to Chipper and has agreed to be the new team mom he will be able to see her more and hopefully she will want to be more than friends one day. Well that day came when Julia, the other team "mom" tells Ellie that the looks that Cormac and she is giving each other there is no doubt that they were more than friends. Then the day of the Hoedown Ellie paid $50 to kiss Cormac and that did the job. From then they were dating....or was they? Two Navel officers show up and tell Ellie there is a tape being shown and that her husband possibly could still be alive. Just as Cormac and Ellie get together this news comes. Ellie feels that she should go to Dallas and wait with the other families to see who is returned to the states. Ellie also tells the officers that they need to notify Mark's parents in Dallas. When they see each other at the airport they tell Ellie they are dropping their lawsuit. Said it was just their grief showing. She tells them they could come anytime to see them in Chipper. So they decide to wait together and it is told Ellie that the soldier brought back was .....
I received an advanced copy of this book to read and give my review. This is a great book, it is the 3rd in the series. I give it 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.
Another delightful visit with the Cassidy family. Ellie Roberts is adjusting to her new life in Texas with her six-year-old son Jackson. The death of her military husband, Mark, has made a new start for both of them imperative. She had met Cormac Cassidy earlier at the town rodeo when he helped her with Jackson’s asthma attack. Now, she is assisting him with Little League as a team mom. The Cassidy family are well established in the community and he has made her feel welcome and offered her his friendship. Is there more than friendship in his desire to spend time with her and Jackson? When her in-laws threaten her for guardianship of Jackson, she turns to Cormac for support. When she receives even more unsettling news, will his support help her deal with what could be next for her and her son? A pleasant romance that flows smoothly through the story as they slowly progress from friendship to love. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation, from the author, for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
Cormac Cassidy is being wheedled into participating in the Kissing Booth for the upcoming Chipper Hoedown and doesn't like it. No one he wants to kiss.....well, maybe one. A new single mother who he talks into being a team mom for his Little League team. This book is such fun to read. Nobody in town wants anyone to be single, and are willing to coerce others into solving that problem. Then comes heartbreaking twists and turns. This is a book with faith exhibited. I love the prayers and conversations with God, and at one point where the 23rd Psalm was recited, it brought me to tears (that normally doesn't happen when I am reading a book). I highly recommend this story if you want a great story. I love Jo's books! I was provided an advanced copy of the book by Jo, and this is my honest opinion. I could tell you more, but I don't want to spoil it for you!
It's hard starting over when you are a widow with a young son. Especially when your husband was a Navy SEAL and killed in battle. Ellie decides a change in scenery is best and moves her son to Chipper, a small Texas town where her brother is the new school superintendent. She'll be the kindergarten teacher. Little does she know that her world will be turned upside down by Cormac Cassidy! Cormac is a guy who we can all love. I fell for him right away! He's a farmer and a stand-up guy. He's also a Little League coach and Ellie's son is on his team. He makes Ellie the team mom! He's also a gentle soul and knows just what Ellie needs at this time of her life. The two of them had so much chemistry! Cormac knows just how to reach Ellie's son, Jackson, too. I love this Cassidy family. This whole series is fantastic!
Ellie is the widow of a Navy SEAL who moves to Chipper with her young son to start a new life. Cormac is a lifelong fixture and falls for her nearly instantly, but gives her the space she needs to realize it herself. This was a very rich story about two adults falling in love with their faith at their cores. It seems life is throwing Ellie all sorts of curve balls and she keeps swinging and is stronger for it. Her in laws are suing her for custody, Navy officers show up to tell her that her late husband may not be dead after all and she keeps her head up and faces the challenges head on. There was a lot of emotion in this story with the in laws and the death of her husband. It was so well written, I laughed and cried and hoped she would get her HEA. I received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a great read! Just the right amount of drama, mystery as to whether the love will grow and finished off with a great showing of Christian faith.
The characters are easy to fall in love with, too. The supposedly grumpy, but more like a teddy bear with loads of compassion is Cormac our lovable 'Farmer Boy and easy to love, faithful to her husband even beyond the end, is Ellie, a sweet Kindergarten teacher. Finishing off the lead characters is the jovial, sarcastic and pun loving 6 year old of Ellie's, Jackson. He is a bundle of ever loving energy and fun
Enjoyed this story very much and found myself turning the pages quickly to see how, or if, their love story became a reality for them.
Received an early copy for my honest and voluntary review.
Awww loved Cormac,Ellie and Jackson🥰 The 3rd book in cowboy confessions series and loved it.I loved Cormac and Ellie as a couple. When Cormac meets Ellie he knows she is the one for him and wants to be friends so they can get to know each other. He gets on well with her 6 year old son Jackson and he likes him too. As a single mum Ellie has to think about Jackson first and has a lot on her plate and they have just moved to Chipper so they are going through a lot of changes. Cormac does win her over, but there are some twists and emotional turns they have to get over to reach their happily ever after. Love Cormac's brother's,the banter and teasing between them. It ended too soon.Cannot wait for the next book in the series. Thank you Jo for another fabulous read😁
Mr. Right But She Doesn't Know It is a Christian, heartwarming, inspirational romance. I love the Cassidy brothers and their extended family. Cormac is a bit gruff and grumpy and not interested in getting married - until Ellie moves to town. Ellie faces a couple of extra challenges than might have been expected in this well written story. But she rises to the challenges, leans on her faith - and on Cormac, and serves as a co team mom. I love Cormac's quiet, supportive ways as he watches out for Jackson and woes Ellie. Ms. Grafford's stories always fill my heart. I read this one straight through!
Cormac is the grumpy Cassidy brother. He farms, repairs farm machinery, and coaches little league. One evening when he stops by Cassidy's store to pick up some kolaches, he runs into the new kindergarten teacher, Ellie Roberts. In a previous book, he helped her son Jackson who suffered an asthma attack. Ellie has moved to Chipper, TX to be near her brother and start a new life after her SEAL husband died a year ago.
This is a really sweet story with a little suspense and quite a bit of inspiration and fun rhymes. It ended somewhat abruptly, but not before their HEA.
I received an ARC and this review is my honest opinion, freely given.
Ellie is a single mom who lost her husband in the line of duty. Needing some space between her and his parents she decides to get a job and move to the town her brother lives in. She first meets Cormac at a rodeo when he helps her son through a asthma attack. Later she signs her son up for the little league team that Cormac coaches. Cormac wants to get to know Ellie better but she's a little resistant at first because she's still dealing with her husbands lost. When her late husbands parents start causing problems, Cormac steps in with support and help and she starts to realize maybe he is worth giving a chance. I received an ARC copy in return for a honest opinion.
Cormac is s a farmer in Chipper (a small town). He had been in a relationship that didn't end well and wasn't interested in being in another one.
Ellie was a widow with a young son. Her husband died overseas during combat. She and her son moved to Chipper where her brother lived to start a new life. She had not even thought about being in a relationship, even though her husband passed away a year ago.
Ellie and Cormac were bound to run into each other living in a small town. Would there be any kind of attraction?
I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
Loved Cormac and Ellie's story!! Ellie and Cormac meet when she's visiting with her brother. Now, she's moved to Chipper and is going to be teaching at the new elementary school, and be Cormac's new Co-team Mom for his, and her son's, baseball team. Ellie isn't sure she's ready for romance, though it's been a year since she buried her husband. Cormac knows the only woman for him is Ellie. I love the way Cormac interacts with Ellie and Jackson. Such a great read!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
This has been such a great series and who would not adore the Cassidy brothers?
A second chance at love for young widow Ellie, who moves to the small Texas town of Chipper, where her brother lives and to become a kindergarten teacher. When her young son Jackson has an asthma attack at a ball game, Cormac Cassidy comes to the rescue!
Cormac was not looking for love but there was just something about Ellie, with her sad eyes and her young son. I fell in love with Cormac myself, with his gentle nature and how he tried to get Ellie involved and so caring.
Another heart warming story that you will fall in love with!
This book had my emotions all over the place. At times it was laugh out loud funny but other times it drew tears. Ellie has found herself a young widow raising her child alone when her husband was killed in the line of duty. She and her son needed a fresh start so when her brother moved, she moved as well. Cormac helped her son when he suffered an asthma attack so she felt safe allowing her son to join the Little League program with Cormac as coach. Will they be able to become more than friends?
Ellie is new to town. Her husband was killed in action a year ago. She moves to Chipper, TX to be closer to her brother. She wants to start over with her 6 year old son. She meets Cormac when her son is having an asthma attack and he helps him. Ellie says that she'll never marry again.
Cormac isn't interested in any women in his small town until he meets the single mother. He convinces her to be his team mom for the little league team that he coaches.
I loved this book! So many puns. The banter back and forth between Ellie and Cormac is so fun!
Another great read from Jo Grafford! A happily ever after for military widow and single mom, Ellie Robert’s. You will fall in love with Ellie’s son Jackson and his fondness for puns. Cormac Cassidy farmer by day and Little League baseball coach knows just how to entertain six-year-old Jackson at a hoedown. Rock wall climbing, anyone? Several unexpected plot twists made this a suspenseful yet humorous read.
I was given an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are my own. I am under no obligation to post a review and neither did I receive any compensation.
Oh, I loved Cormac and Ellie so much. Cormac is such a wonderful character - a steady, hard-working farmer, and Ellie is a great mom who puts her son first. She had a lot going on in her life, but Ellie and Cormac hung in there together. The author created a wonderful love story for them. I enjoyed it tremendously. And, of course, Ellie’s son Jackson is quite the character - very funny and lovable!
I'm totally enjoying this series and getting to know all the Cassidy brothers. I loved Cormac and Ellie's story and who could not love little Jackson. He's known as the grumpy brother. She's still getting over her deceased husband. These two have a connection at first site. Their story is captivating and a great read. I anxiously await the next book in the series.
What a great great addition to the series! The story of Cormac and Ellie is sweet, romantic, and hard to put down. As always, Jo Grafford pulls you in with characters who touch your heart and make you long for them to find their HEA. This story moves forward easily, keeping you engaged...to the point where sleep doesn't matter! HINT...don't start reading this at bedtime! Highly recommend this book and the entire series! I received an ARC for an honest opinion, which I have provided.
This is the 3rd book in the Cassidy brothers series. Cormac hasn't found the right one for him, until he meets Ellie. But Ellie's husband was a Navy SEAL killed in combat. She isn't quite ready to move on and she has a 6-year old boy to consider. She has moved from Dallas because of too many memories, but her in-laws are determined to get their grandson. Read it and find out how it all plays out. I have read all the books in the series and look forward to the next Cassidy brother's story.
Jo Grafford has again given us a series with an interesting family, the Cassidys. Cormac is determined he will not be the next one to fall, but he failed to consider a pretty widow with a 6 year old son that loves baseball. A few twists, turns and surprises await you in this book. I loved this story and look forward to Devlin taking the fall, okay he’s already fallen we just need to see if Julia can convince him to take a second chance.
Wow! I just finished this book and I'm practically speechless! I am swooning in my seat over Cormac! Such an amazing guy! He always knew what to say and the romance was off the charts! Love Ellie too! So kind and sweet!. The kissing booth was probably my favorite! Loved how the handled the in-laws challenge! So many great parts in the book! Absolutely wonderful!! I received a copy from the author and chose to leave a review.
My heartfelt praise for another inspirational love story with a few twists along the way. Between Ellie's grief at losing her husband, grief stricken inlaws not dealing with their grief, and a local that has been clinging to Cormac for a year, does their love have a future? Only if they both believe that God has a plan for each of them and brought them together for a reason. Love romantic suspense and this had a few hints towards that genre.
So far, Cormac is my favorite Cassidy brother. Down to earth, direct, and funny. I loved how he instantly connected with Ellie's son. Also, the humor was laugh out loud a few times.
Ellie's character was a little slower to come around, which made perfect sense since she was a widowed single mom.
I liked how the author wove faith into this story more than the previous book. Fans of Christian romance, sweet or clean romance will enjoy this book.
Mr. Right but She Doesn’t Know It is a warm hearted romantic story that takes place in Chipper, building on the characters in book 1 of Grafford’s Cowboy Confessions series. Cormac and Ellie make great leading characters for a beautiful read. Grafford’s descriptive writing is her superpower. She fills her stories with descriptions of her scenes, characters and moments, which also brings skilful character development and great romance in her relationships.
The third of the Cassidy brothers in the pursuit of love and settling down. An emotional story for Cormac and Ellie, but still filled with live and laughter. While enjoyed their story, I feel a bit left hanging where Julia was to kiss Devlin at the kissing booth as it was part of a deal with Ellie kissing Cormac.
Cormac is the Cassidy brother featured in this installment. His rough, gruff and tries to hide a heart of gold behind his bold honesty, but Ellie is his weakness. And hang on tight for there’s a plot twist in this one! I loved how the author once again loaded the story with scripture. One of the final scenes brought me to tears as families grieved great loss. This book is a total stunner.
Another great book to this series.. Cormac is a cowboy and is ready to finally settle down. And her comes the woman of his dreams, Ellie Roberts and her 6 yr old son, who is a great kid from the story. This story had me watching in my mind everything that was going on as I was reading it.. very well done. Ready for the next book..
