L. Leigh has been writing stories in her head since she was a kid.
She is a certified bookworm, her father normally seized her books at dinner time. Yep, she would read at the dinner table.
L. Leigh is fascinated by folk lore and the supernatural. Expect to find a dose of the other side in her work. Ranging from erotica, romance, thrillers, scriptwriting and horror.
When she has writer's block she goes to the weight room to improve on her lifts. She can deadlift 120kg and squat 80kg, She is working hard to get her bench press to 60kg.
This is my first sapphic romance novel and I love it!!!
The heat level is good for me. And it's not just the romance, but the struggle to come out with the truth about yourself (sexuality) the Ile-Ife history with the ancient Tiara also got me hooked.
Thank you so much, for this beautiful one, dear author.
Astounding! I've read all of L. Leigh's work and the style with which she writes her characters, their situations and the world around them keeps you on the edge of your seat. Call me Enitan was an astounding read because it was my first sapphic romance and it didn't feel like it. I became one with Enitan, who was struggling to make lemonades with the lemons life tossed at her. And Miss Tee... hmmm...
This would be my first sapphic romance and it felt weird at the start and I almost DNF'd it but i found myself picking it up to read again.
It's not just romance but what I could pick out would be staying true to oneself, nobody can tell your truth better than you. I loved the characters and how they flowed seamlessly, intertwined, yet having individuality.
This is my first time reading a sapphic romance. The author weaved a great story into the romance between the two ladies.
Secrets there were loads in this book. I mean... I will not spoil it for others. I had read her previous book My Grandfather's Inheritance: The Fox so it was interesting to see Jeremy and his relatives in this one.
Being true to yourself is something that can be hard to do these days.
I really wanted to know what happened after the book ended and we see that with the extended epilogue at the end.
Odette, I shake my head.
Mothers... That's all I will say for now.
Looking forward to this author's next book.

Rating: 2.5🌟; Spice level: .5🌶️ (one scene) I would struggle to call this book a romance book majorly because that aspect of the storyline is more secondary to the self discovery and self acceptance which I guess you can still tag as some sort of romance but not romantic.
The storyline line you can tell it’s not well thought out. It’s a jumble of ideas and you can tell the writing process lacked a certain flow that would’ve made the story that much more interesting.
I didn’t like the abrupt way the book shifted from one scene to another.. or one general basis of the plot to the next. It was honestly such a mess, I had to re-read a couple of terms to get back the right train of thought and it honestly had me confused for a few minutes before my mind picked up what the author was trying to do.
The romance was lackluster, by the time they said “I love you”, I was perplexed and fought the urge to roll my eyes. The two FMC’s weren’t written with that much individuality, they weren’t even written that well as romantic partners. We needed more dates, more quality time, more love confessions or acts of love that bring out the confessions. The author spent more time giving us spicy scenes with another woman that wasn’t an MC at all instead of putting that energy into developing any form of chemistry between both FMC’s.
Sigh this book isn’t the worst but it pisses me off still because there was SO MUCH Potential. I could actively quote more plot lines/action points, characters, places where the author could’ve put more focus into writing a well rounded story but I don’t want my review to be filled with spoilers.
A good read. I like how the characters were written and the situations they found themselves in. Not sure if this is the first time I've read sapphic romance or not but this one is good.
I've always been a fan of Lani's work, but this was next level!!! It held me rivetted the whole time and I was unable to put it down. A love story beautifully told, it was my first foray into sapphic romance and she crafted the story so well, it didn't feel strange to me at all. And the unexpected paranormal twist...LOVED IT! For sure, I'm picking up 'My Grandfather's Inheritance' next. Job well done, Lani!
This book was so easy to read. I absolutely loved Enitan.she was hilarious, especially when she talked to herself. I really appreciated how the story explored people owning up to their sexuality and others accepting them for who they are. I also loved the touch of fantasy in it, even though I’m not usually a fan of the genre. That Jay and her husband need to be sent to the psychiatric hospital for treatment. I was shocked Enitan didn’t swear for them in Yoruba.cos wth? The chemistry between Enitan and Tee was so cute. Tee actually expressed all five love languages toward Enitan, and it was adorable to watch. This was such a good read. Lani writes so well, but I do hope we get more dialogue and a bit less narration in future books. All in all,it was a really good read for me.
Wow! “Call me Enitan” really took me by surprise. This is my first time reading a Sapphic novel. It wasn’t quite what I expected but it wasn’t bad at all. The beginning made me cringe though when I realized it was a same sex romance scene but then I got past it and discovered a very beautiful story.
The plot, the settings, the characterization, diction, style, everything turned out quite nice.
It was a book I really enjoyed reading and I can say that Lani Leigh is a wonderful writer, what with her ability to tackle such a sensitive theme and make a beautiful and bold romantic story out of it.
I received an ARC which I’m grateful for and the this review is entirely my own.
Oh wow. This book just was not for me. I couldnt barely stand the characters. Both enitan and tee. I didnt like how the chapters were structured. And the plot could barely hold itself up.
