Book 1 of 6: Sorvino Mobsters See all formats and editions We have been enemies since birth. Now I am forced to marry him. He is the ruthless don of the Italian mafia of New York. I am the Russian mafia princess. When our family’s feud escalates, the solution is our arranged marriage. I once wanted to murder him. Now I am supposed to share his bed.
I hate how good he looks, how perfectly his suits fit his incredible built. I hate even more what sharing a house with him does to me. His endless teasing, how he gets close, only a breath away… His sweet promises, taken away a second later with brutally cold arrogance.
I refuse to love him, and I don’t need his protection. I am skilled, I can handle myself in a fight. Until our crime families clash once more and we both know what’s at stake. Will the cold-hearted mafia don come for his kidnapped bride?
Or will he leave me to starve until I beg him to save me?
The Sorvino Mobster series takes you to the streets of New York, where ruthless Italian mafia dons rule the world. These are not the hero’s from your old story books. They are arrogant, rich, brutal and whether you want it or not, they will break your heart only to ultimately heal and love it.
Veda Rose loves getting lost in the intense, dark and suspenseful universes she creates. Although her characters can often be complicated and twisty, at the core of it all is deep and profound love.
Born and raised in Portland, Veda Rose has always been an introvert who could often be found deeply engrossed in a book. Or multiple books. So it was only natural that at some point she would embark on her own journey as a writer to bring to life her wild imagination.
When she is not writing or thinking out her next tormented love fantasy, she enjoys hiking and exploring unfamiliar places with her furry companions.
Holy smokes was this hot af, dark, gory and everything else you could want from a mafia romance! I LOVED Katya, she is a fricking bad ass. Ales is quite literally the KING OF SEDUCTION. I bloody loved this!
Alessandro keep ruining the purchases I am making.
Beware this book has a lot of very descriptive violence. Katya: And he is going to pay for this!!! My father is not happy with my failures. I loved the the chemistry evolves between Alessandro and Katya. She is a very strong out spoken Russian Princess. And his is the head of the Mafia in New York City. She fights him every step of the way, she will not submit to him. That would be beneath her. But Alessandro is very handsome and sexual man. He gets her to submit. I enjoyed the book. I was a little shock at the violence to women by an enemy of the Mafia. This book will keep you on your toes.
The story itself wasn't bad ,nothing to set it apart from other mafia stories, though.Technically,Katya wasn't kidnapped by her to - be husband Ales, she was kidnapped later in the story by enemies. What made the story just 3 stars was the way it was written. The sentence structure was like it was English as a second language that was auto corrected.Hard to follow at times. The ending used brutality to show Katya was just as badass as the men.It was gratuitous and almost amusing.Meh.
A wonderful mafia story where everything occurs as a good mafia story should contain, especially when it comes to a family. This story kept my attention glued to my book from start to finish and I had a hard time putting it down. The author has described the storyline and structure well, as well as the scenes and the drama. I loved the characters and their characters that fit together. This book is definitely recommended!
I received a free ARC copy in exchange for my honest review
This is a true mafia romance. There is a lot of suspense, while there are a few things that make you think twice. I love that the main female character is strong and stands up for herself, even when it's unpopular with nearly everyone. I loved the way that the main romantic relationship built, it was realistic.
I was not expecting that! What a book! Perfect in every detail and two people made for each other. She is as vicious and stubborn as he is. They came together as enemies but when push came to shove, they became the perfect " power couple". Nothing will stop them. Amazing book and very graphic. But absolutely wonderful story. Read this!! You will not regret it.
This is the first book in the series and it was okay. I have read several of the books in the series and they were much better. This book was just okay. The h and H were always trying to outdo each other. There is kidnappings, attacks, attempted murder and murder. Lots of torture, not enough hot sex. No epilogue, just ended.
a VERY quick read. plot was okay, the idea was there but writing wise- choppy, confusing. it's like i'm getting whiplash. had to go back and reread entire paragraphs cause some scenes aren't flowing seamlessly. not a lot of steamy scenes, again... choppy.
it's not an instant love but..... it's also kinda instant cause wdym you love him right after he saved you? idk.......... it's meh.
This book was everything I didn't know I needed. I couldn't not put it down once I started reading. I finished it in one sitting. I loved the characters ands all the drama that was going on. I would absolutely love to read more from this mafia family.
Quick steamy read. There where a couple of inconsistencies and grammatical errors. But otherwise the story was exciting. I loved that the heroine was tough and ready for action.
Such a match can only come from the tension that is trying to come from our two charactor .The tension in the club shows how much is at stake. The torture. Of the Maths wax so heartfelt I had to keep reading.
I think this story has potential but the writing didn’t flow. It was very choppy jumping from one scene or day to another, very odd. The book was poorly edited and the number of misspellings was unreal.
It was a great plot and a great story however not much details and a very confusing syntax, they are spelling mistakes in the book and English is not even my first language so I rate it 2 stars I can not put more than that.
This was fast and very seductive lol!! Absolutely love how Katya is such a bada$$ and Alessandro of course underestimated her!! Boy did he have his eyes opened
The back and forth between the main characters was good. I didn't like that if felt that Alessandro won most of their confrontations. Katya could hold her own against everyone but because of this she wasn't exactly written as his equal which is what I expected. I also didn't like that it seemed that when she was with her girls she was a little too childish.
There is brutality against Katya when she's kidnapped which isn't often done in books, as well as the collateral parties involved. It was also frustrating that there seemed to be gaps that were skipped, but it didn't appear as anything happened in the time gap. It was more of a "oh, we're going to move forward a week in time, but you haven't missed anything at all" sort of feeling.
