Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?
The short? You got it.
I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.
How was that?
A little more detail? Gotcha.
I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

wow, I fell instantly for Maz. I was elated when I found out that he would be in a threesome with Lucan for who’s romance I’ve been looking forward to since I met him in the very first scene of book 1.
⇢ Maz: alpha, OB/gyn at the Hayes clinic
⇢ Lucan: beta, pharma-tech, office manager at the Hayes clinic
⇢ Sando: omega, Dr. Melloni’s son, does scientific research on the Melloni gene in the Hayes clinic
The romance between the three of them and Sando’s mysterious medical condition kept me seriously hooked.
There was not really anything happening on the overarching plot bc this was mostly a rehash of the events of the previous books but from these three’s POV with their blooming connection. Although there were a few little revelations we haven’t seen from our previous perspective.
“His men. He felt it in his heart, this truth. They were both his.
They’d just have to figure out how to get to their happy end, what their journey would be like.”
Super conflicted about Maz and Lucan & Sando's dynamic. I mean, for one thing, Lucan and Maz very easily agreed that their friends with benefits relationship was with no strings attached and no pressure for a long-term commitment, but within spending a few rounds together, they easily accept and believe that they belong together. Fine, I'll bite. 🙆🏻♀️ But, why was it that when Sando gave his honest truth that as an omega whose own awakening is just happening, that he does not want to feel pressured into doing anything, that once Lucan offered Maz and himself to give him a memorable first time together, he did not respect that claim, rather get affronted that despite their friendship and open invitation Sando did not blindly leap at the offer. 🙎🏻♀️
That about face did not quite sit well with me. It put a sour taste in my mouth, accompanied by the fact that Lucan was so very forgiving of Maz's own request for patience with him, yet Sando was given such an uncaring dismissal, if not almost a challenge to submit or face my cold shoulder. What gives? 🤨 That's not a Beta's Love - that came off as an ultimatum. 😒
Ah well, in the end it was a short-lived rejection so everyone goes home happy - well, somewhat, anyway. 😕
And that is why as we near the conclusion of this series is why I stuck around as long as I did. While this installment does center on an existing relationship that was slowly coming together amidst previous events, it also still gives a different perspective of what it takes to make a three-way relationship work. 💟 It's never quite an easy balance or an equal distribution, but that is what makes it an interesting challenge. The hurt and confusion, the uncertainty and the lingering doubt of who is really the third wheel, what exactly does their respective role in the hierarchy play and how can they each find a way to defy it, rather than let it dictate them.
“I told you I have all the patience in the world. As long as we’re together, it’s all good with me. You’ll figure it out.”
I don't deny that Lucan had a generous heart; I don't deny that he was very affectionate, very giving and willing with his love. 'Smart and witty, not super extrovert but also not afraid to speak up when needed' he was calm and kind and someone Sando deeply admired for how he was everything he wished to be. 🥺 But, it is also difficult to be a beta and see where he fits with Maz and Sando, especially when he is the one who first fell for them and yet in the world of alpha and omega, he really is the expendable one. 😢 It is a painful reminder that sadly rears its head, despite how open he is in his desires, how eager he is to make them work and wants Sando to be a part of them.
I don't have much feelings for Maz, the sexy and helpful doctor that makes Lucan see stars; he presents himself as the not so typical alpha, but yet when biology kicks in, then he's very much alpha. He was sweet and gentle and caring, a natural caretaker, which does count. 🫂 He and Lucan had explosive chemistry together, even when they were just friends not looking for a relationship. 'I really like you, habibi. Be patient with me.' Nope, not at all. But, who can fight with the heart and how love conquers all? I liked that he did not immediately fall for Sando, but yeah, well, when the heat kicks in... What does stand out is how deeply he does care for Lucan - proving that even if he is a beta, his heart does belong to him. That bond is sacred and his need to protect and comfort him is all the more tangible and sincere. 🤍🤍
“What they had shown him, the pleasure they’d introduced him to—it was everything.”
Sando - ah, Sando - you definitely have it rough and my heart broke for you. The Irresistible Omegas have their work cut out for him and he certainly has it the hardest. 💔💔 So very practical and literal in his terms and actions, so very nerdy and clinical, he doesn't feel like he fits in, but he wants to be accepted - even if it is out of kindness or sympathy, he'll take it, for he's never had it. That's why their friendship means so very much for someone who has only ever had his work and his father as company. 'Out of everything, losing them would hurt the most.' 🥺 The steady change his body and heart felt was heartbreaking, and so too was the crushing blow how quickly and easily it could be taken from him. Even the briefest moments of happiness now lingered with the despair of losing it just as quickly as he found it. There is a rough battle and journey ahead of him, one that makes me hopeful that Lucan and Maz can show him how serious they are for him, even when it's really not his fault at how clueless he is about their feelings. 😞
Yes, I do find it rather unfair, because he never has experienced it! Give him time too, to adjust and accept and figure it out on his own terms, rather push him into it.
Still, I am looking forward to seeing how things will play out. 'The road to Sando’s heart wasn’t an easy one, but they’d get there.' ❤️🩹❤️🩹 The challenge is far from over, especially when things are so not very in their control. But, if love can truly conquer anything, then surely, Maz and Lucan can prove to Sando that he is for keeps and that nothing can keep them apart, especially when they are fated to be. ✨
This one was so much better than the last few have been...for me at any rate. Beta's Strength was my last 5 star read in this series, and I've gone as low as 3 stars since that one. Luckily, this story had an actual narrative and wasn't completely overrun by sex [or typos for that matter], which does happen fairly frequently in some of Nora's stories unfortunately. I liked all 3 MC's, but to find out that they seem to be fated mates was quite surprising, considering Sando has had hardly any social contact with other shifters, thanks to his overbearing 'father'...yes, the famous [or should that really be infamous 🤔] Professor Melloni.
We'll hopefully discover the truth of Sando's background in the next and final story in the series, the aptly named Omega's Truth 😉...
I'm a sucker for this series and it still manages to surprise me. This one goes back a bit, and shows some events from a different POV. It also takes a sad turn as far as the relationship between Sando and his father goes; I'm not 100 percent sure what happened there, but I'm 100 percent sure it isn't good.
Maz and Lucan are a good couple, doing their best to convince the skittish and socially awkward Sando that they really mean it when they say that they want and need him.
Like the recent books, their story is unfinished in the end and I'm really looking forward to the final installment of the series.
2.5 rounded I was initially hesitant about this because I hate flashbacks, especially since it’s the second to last book. My question was what, as a reader, would I gain from a flash back when we’re so near the end and almost nothing has been close to resolved? However this didn’t really lean on past scenes so that was a saving grace. But it also didn’t really bring anything new to the forefront, anything worth mentioning anyways. So again I ask, what was the point? The answer would be the other couple. But it wasn’t that interesting to begin with. We have enough couples and this book would have been better served expanding on an already established one or furthering the main plot. I did like Sando and Max hence the 3 stars, Lucan was a dud and infinitely annoying. I really really hope the next book is better, seeing as it’s the last one.
Lucan has a love for organizing, Sando is adorably clumsy, Maz has a pleasant personality. I'm loving these 3. It's quite a nice surprise that this book shows us firsts, the last 1 year from their POVs.
They're all so nice, Sando had definitely hid things. Didn't know he hasn't had his 1st heat. What's up with that? A mystery 👀 I think his dad has something to do with it.
The series started with Lucan (more like Lidon's arrest of him) & it'd come full circle now!
This book will break your heart AND make you smile. It does end in a bit of a cliffhanger but you know you’ll get an HEA in book 10.
The mythology of this series continues. You see the story from different angles in this installment of the series. Learning more about Sando was fascinating and part heartbreaking. His Dad is not what he seems.
Maz and Lucan will steal your heart too. I just loved their dynamic.
Now I want book 10 SO bad so I can see how everyone ends up!
I have no brain space for a proper review of what I liked and what not just that my heart hurt at the end and I'm very happy I could start the next and last book right away. im hoping for a true hea for everybody.
I don't think it'd be fair for me to rate this story because, I'll be honest, I had absolutely no interest in this throuple whatsoever. None. At all. All three of them were varying degrees of boring and reading about boring characters stumbling into a boring relationship just made for an incredibly boring reading experience.
I felt that way about them from previous books but felt like I had to read this because I didn't want to miss anything related to the overarching plot. Well, it turned out to be unnecessary since this story goes back in time, meaning there wasn't anything significant happening that I didn't already know. There was some unknown information regarding Sando's relationship with his Papa but that was it.
Thank God there was an audiobook available because I'm not sure I'd have been able to get through this otherwise. Even the sex scenes didn't do anything for me. The scenes between Maz and Lucan would have been hotter if it didn't involve them 🤡 and when Sando eventually joined them all of the non-existent sexiness that still tried to be sexy immediately went up in flames.
I'm sure Sando was supposed to come across as cute and quirky but I found his naivety extremely annoying and it only added to my dislike of the group as a whole. I just... 😮💨. These guys were just so so boring to me, lol.
There is only one more book in this series and even though it's a continuation of this tedious storyline it also concludes the overall story and I'm really looking forward to that. I just hate that this story is the one we have to focus on for the ending. I would have much preferred reading about Isam and his mates, or literally anyone else. But fine. The follow-up series more than makes up for whatever this is, so I'll stop complaining now because, really, that's all this review is. 😓🐺
This great series continues with Sando, a socially conservative omega becoming friends with Beta Lucan. Lucan is going to be in charge of running the medical clinic when it's finished. Maz is a doctor friend of Endar's, intent on helping the pack at the clinic. I liked how we got to watch them grow and develop. The differing pov's made it easy to be in their heads to understand how they all felt. Complicated relationships for all of them.. Sando is caught between love and duty. I look forward to reading the final installment of this series!! 4.5 stars
I don't even have words for how much I love this series. Every single book leaves me on the edge of my seat, frantically reading as fast as I can to see what's going to happen next. Even though this book is set 1 year in the past from where Omega's Power left off, I was still captivated by Lucan, Maz, and Sando's perspective of the events that took place. So much was going on behind the scenes and it's fascinating to see more puzzle pieces click into place. Lucan is 100% my new favorite character in this pack--his sweetness, honesty, openness, and bravery are so wonderful I just couldn't help falling in love. Add in Maz's quiet intelligence and Sando's cute, nerdy innocence and this trio pushed all my buttons! While I wouldn't exactly call the ending of this book a cliffhanger, I'm absolutely dying to find out how Maz, Lucan, and Sando are going to work things out. I'm stressed about Sando's relationship with his dad and desperate for Lucan to get all the happiness he deserves. Can it be July 24th already??
**I received an ARC through Patreon. My review was requested but not required, and all opinions are my own.
I’m completely and utterly obsessed with this series! I am a lazy fan tho cause I think I only wrote reviews to book 1 and maybe book 6 or 7. But anyways, I LOVE it. I even cried reading one of them.
I can’t believe next book is going to be the final one. I do t want it to end!!! There will be only me waiting for the audiobooks so I can listen to them ALL OVER AGAIN.
I adore this series and I'm gonna be so sad when it comes to an end. Beta's Love goes back a few books in the timeline. After all the events in recent books it was good to have a revisit but from a different POV. Every time the focus moves onto a new grouping I think they are my favourite but I really do think Lucan, Maz and Sando are my favourites. Like with all the others these three have a bumpy time of it. They were just getting it together when a face from the past returns to ruin things. Grr!! I'm gonna need book 10 and the conclusion now please.
I was a bit disappointed that we went back a year because I really wanted to move forward in the overall plot. I understand the reasoning though - to experience certain things from another perspective.... I couldn’t connect with the MC’s as well as I did in the other books. Their relationship wasn’t as passionate and intense as others in the series. And just as the story started to get really interesting, it ended. Can’t wait for the next (and unfortunately the last) book!
Sando, Lucan and Maz. I’m so glad we got their story. Sando is so sweet, perfect for his men. Bit of a cliffhanger but the next book is due out soon. Great story.
I have loved this series from book 1. I really have. It’s been a whole different dynamic and I’ve loved seeing how everything has evolved. But I had a hard time with this one, big time. I still love the book and I loved seeing the birth of Hakon and the power of Lidon and his men from a different perspective. But what I had a hard time with in this book, was Sando. And I hope in the last book, someone finally truly sees what’s going on. Lucan suspects but has no proof. I hope Sando gets his happily ever after. Lucan befriended Sando when no one else would. Not many people got Sando’s mind, thanks to his ‘father’.Sando had no social skills, no idea what it was like to be an omega, nothing. It was all work. But being out from his father’s thumb for a while, he was finally settling in. Making friends in Lucan and branching out even more. And was on a journey to discover why he was the way he was. Underdeveloped in all but brain. But because he was under a powerful pack, he was changing. As were those around him. He was feeling things he never felt before, and he was trying to learn what it meant to have and be a friend. Much less anything else. It’s not been an easy journey because he doesn’t understand what he doesn’t know. But with Lucan’s help and now Maz, he’s learning, and he’s found lovers in them as well. But now his father has been found and he’s spouted some very bad things to Sando, and some suspicious things as well. And even has taken to abusing him for defiance. Lucan knows something is up, but with all the new pack members and all the changes, no one is really paying attention or looking at what’s going on. And Lucan, after talking to his own father, has decided it’s time to take a stand for what is his. But it may not go as well as expected. I’m seriously ticked about Sando. After the things his father has said and done, and the way he treated him when he was rescued. I’m beyond mad. I really hope Lucan and Maz can help him get out from under his father’s thumb. NO one deserves to be treated the way he has been and I’m just beyond upset at how this turned out. And not to mention, left hanging. I still love this series. Don’t get me wrong, but when you see how Sando is finally blossoming to how he is at the end, it’s bad. Sando is finally branching out, learning to be social, learning what it means to have lovers and mates. And it’s all taken away in one fell swoop. And it’s even harder because Maz is fearful, because of past relationships. Lucan is torn because he realizes he loves the two men and why and wants to jump in. But because it’s so new to them, feelings are getting hurt due to words and actions and it’s just a bad situation. And it’s one time I almost wish a pack member was dead. I don’t like Sando’s father at all. And I think he needs to go away to be honest. I really hope book 10 is a happier ending. I know it says in the blurb it is, but I hope Sando doesn’t get more hurt in the process. I’m anxious to see how things will end.
Beta’s Love Irresistible Omegas, Book 9 By: Nora Phoenix Narrated by: John Solo
I have been loving this series and the fascinating characters and their storylines. In this ninth book we are taken back in time for a story that was happening behind the scenes in previous books. Nora Phoenix mentions this in a note at the start of the book and lets you know where the timeline begins, which is very helpful. This book features Max, Lucan, Alpha and Sando’s story, they were secondary characters in earlier books. Maz, an alpha, works with Enar in the clinic, Sando continues to work on his father research, Lucan befriends him while he visits him. Sando is adorable, or rather adorkable, you can tell by his naivety that he has lived a sheltered life and after seeing how his father reacts to him and his heat I wonder what is going on there. Maz and Lucan relationship may have started as fiends with benefits but Lucan knows it is much more, he also knows Sando is meant to be with them. Sando was starting to come out of his shell but reverted back in, can Lucan and Maz get him back out of it? I loved everything that happened in this book, it was great to get their story as well as a recap of some of the past events from other viewpoints. I am looking forward to what happens next for these three characters and for the future of the pack. Nora Phoenix thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, John Solo continues to deliver an outstanding performance as he brings these characters and their stories to life. He is amazing at portraying these characters, grasping each persona and playing the role with perfection. His Sando was adorable, his Lucan and Maz was spot on too. He has a great ability to enhance an already awesome book to a whole new level of awesomeness. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧
So I'm reviewing Beta's Love but I need Omega's Truth, the next and final book in the Irresistible Omegas series, right now! This one ends on a cliffhanger with so much more possible in the rest of this story. Nora is a fantastic story builder. The world and pack that she has created is so wonderfully developed and thought through. Everything flows and interconnects with plot points making sense throughout and all of the characters have connections and relationships of some kind. I felt engaged right from the start, rooting for the three main characters involved in Beta's Love and interested in how this story progresses. This time line does actually overlap with previous books and I highly recommend reading the whole series in order with the way that everything is building with the overall story arc and how new characters add to the story. Lucan is a beta with so much love to give and he's lucky enough to find two men who he wants to give it to. However, Maz is resistant to relationships and Sando is oblivious due to very little social interaction before coming to the pack. It's really interesting reading how he has two very different relationships that develop at different speeds with differing needs and focuses when together, both emotional and physical. All three experience so much, individually and together, and I can only imagine the possibilities of what's to come especially with hints towards Sando's health and doubts cast towards his father. Fans of the series will love this book, another fantastic addition with another heart tugging emotional ride for both the characters and the reader. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
The series continues with a totally new threesome. Well, only a couple throughout most of the book and the story arc for this throuple continues to the next book but Lucan and Maz know they belong together. Maz is reluctant to commit to love due to what he witnessed with his parents while growing up. But Lucan is all in and is the strength and the glue that helps to form their threesome when Sando joins them.
Sando is a geeky researcher. A very small omega whose physical sexual development has been stunted. We learn why later in the story. I loved this character and most of all I totally LOVED the voice John Solo gave him. It was perfect and his shyness and insecurity did not need to be described when it could easily be heard in his voice. I love a narrator who pays attention to what he's reading and knows how to match the character's personality to his voice. Wow. This one was perfect.
The finale is the next book and I dread getting into it (though I already have) because i know I'm going to have to say goodbye to the Hayes pack and, as we learn here, to the Hightower pack. This has been an outstanding series and I'm totally willing to recommend this very highly to all my friends and acquaintances. If you love omega verse, this one is top shelf. Especially in audio.
Note: I received an ARC for free in exchange for a review.
As always, Nora knocked it out of the park with her Irresistible Omegas series that's a mixture of Omegaverse and shifter with male pregnancies possible in this universe. Beta's Love is no exception bringing us a hint of the behind the scenes as it was set a year prior to the last book's, Omega's Power, story.
Sando is delightful in his innocent obliviousness. Alpha Maz can't help but want to be with Lucan and these strange feelings of wanting to make sure Sando is taken care of too. Lucan wants both, especially after the three of them grow closer as friends, and possible boyfriends, but not sure how that's going to happen with everything going on and Sando's father, the Professor Melloni, is found. It is a cliffhanger, as mentioned by the author, but forewarned helps. I'm not much of a person who likes cliffhangers in general (unless the next book is available), but I'm strangely good with these books as there have been several where the primary poly relationship spans more than one book. I can't wait for the next one and you better believe I will be stalking Nora's social media when it's ready. *smile*
