I thought I knew Sybil better than anyone. Now, I see her for who she truly is. A woman as twisted and broken as any criminal I've ever met.
She's taken from me everything I've ever loved or cared about. My dreams. My boyfriends. My job. Even Simon, the gorgeous and deadly assassin who has made it his mission to destroy her and the weapons dealing Abromov Group she works for.
But when Rue, the badass hacker on Simon's team with a killer fashion sense asks me for my help to get him back, I know what my answer is.
I shouldn't care that she has him in her clutches. But I do.
Because despite the fact that he betrayed and used me to get his revenge, there's something about him that calls me. And as much as it hurts me to believe it, I can't deny that he was right about my sister. She's a monster.
I just hope that by rescuing Simon, I'm not trading one monster for another. Or losing my heart in the process.
But I'm Agent Hannah Kelly. And hunting monsters is what I do.
Anne Roman is the author of suspenseful and thrilling romance novels. Her books are fast-paced, steamy, and will leave you on the edge of your seat! When not writing, Anne can be found at home with her kids, pets, and a husband who still sweeps her off her feet.
I rarely read contemporaries. Mostly because contemporaries miss that little something that makes a book worthwhile for me, that makes it an escape, a promise that there are different worlds, and different stories and happy endings. But when maffia, espionage and stuff alike get involved you've got my attention. I was very curious how this book would continue!
I needed a few chapters to remember again what had happened in the first book. That's mostly because the book starts in the middle of the action. This time there is no leading up to it, no build up. The characters have a mission and they're doing what needs to be done. But, that also really pulled me into the story right away.
I really love how the author created this constant push and pull relationship between the two main characters. The attraction is there, they do want each other and not just for the sex. But there are so many reasons why they can't just give in. The mission, their loyalties and most of all the danger they want to protect each other from.
Since our characters are focussed on the mission and since they're witholding a lot of information from the reader and each other it's not easy to really build an emotional connection with them. I feel like we don't really know these characters yet. We can't know them yet, because it doesn't fit their line of work. However, I hope to see glimpses of their true selves in the future!
Find me is the second book in the Dangerous Entanglement Duet and man was this a wild ride. I do felt that the ending was a bit rushed, however, this was well written and quite entertaining. Definitely would love to read more from this author.
‘I felt his weight shift, and I rolled over to look at him. His eyes were closed, his breaths steady and even, which told me he’d fallen asleep. For the first time since he’d come into my life, I saw him relaxed and at peace, and I frowned. As much as I didn’t want to admit it, he was right. I was in over my head. I was in over my head with Sybil. I was in over my head with Agent Reed. I was in over my head with the whole Abromov business. But more importantly, as the afterglow of my orgasm faded and exhaustion forced my eyes to close, I realized I was in over my head with Simon Gallagher.
As the second book in Anne Roman’s Dangerous Entanglements series, Find Me moves us further into the twisted plot involving Agent Hannah Kelly, her arms-dealing sister Sybil, and the biggest mystery of all, Simon Gallagher.
I can’t possibly share any plot highlights, as they might ruin the story for you, dear reader, but suffice it to say that there continue to be so many twists and turns that it will be a challenge to try to predict the outcome of this book. You will, however, need to prepare yourself for not knowing the end quite yet, as book 3 will continue the unexpected storyline and relationships between Hannah, Sybil, and Simon.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "FIND ME" This story had pulled he right into the intense drama, suspense, intrigue, angst, deceit, lies, betrayal, danger, twists that has you not able to put this book down until finished. Agent Hannah Kelly hunts monsters one being her sister Sybil who stole her life everything & everyone she cared for her dream, job, boyfriends it time to take it all back she's the worst twisted criminal she's ever met. Simon a deadly assassin who's made it his mission to destroy her & the weapons dealing Abromov Group she works for he betrayed & used Hannah to get his revenge. Rue is brilliant hacker on Simon's team she asks Hannah to help her get him back out of Sybils clutches she should care but she does because he was right about her sister Sybil being a monster. I definitely recommend to get this well written on the edge of your seat story will Hannah saving Simon be saving one monster for another & lose her heart in the process it's a must read for sure. I'm so looking forward to "CATCH ME" to see if things works out for Hannah & Simon it can't come soon enough. AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!!
This is book two in Anne Roman’s Dangerous Entanglements series and Oh my goodness was it freaking awesome. This part of the series was fast paced and on the edge of your seat intense. It’s full of danger, action and is absolutely thrilling.
Hannah has a decision to make when Simon’s hacker Rue asks for help, a decision she doesn’t struggle to make. Her sister must pay and they must bring Simon home at all costs. Even after everything that happened between the two of them in book one she still feels a deep connection to him and she needs him. Betrayal and secrets or not, she can’t let him go, will she lose her heart too? Definitely have got to read it to find out!!
This book was a definite ride of twist and turns, Anne Roman really did awesome in this book. So much betrayal and secrets come to light in this one between Hannah and her sister. This does end on another cliffhanger and with so many questions especially what does the author have in store for Simon and Hannah cuz their chemistry just keeps getting hotter and more intense. Can’t wait for the next book. Definitely highly recommend this series.
And so, the plot thickens… This was a great follow-up book, and honestly, the story is only getting better. I love the tension between Simon and Hannah - and holy wow, that shower scene was next level hot! I enjoyed getting to know the team better, Rue is still my favourite, but was nice to see more of Micheal and Evan. In true espionage style, with a dash of the Italian Mob and a next level sibling rivalry, and we have ourselves a great series. Yes, there’s a BIG cliffhanger of an ending, but this just makes it more delicious! I truly enjoyed this book, and love how this series just keeps getting better. There are moments that are just so hilarious! One of my favourite quotes "Who the fu@k are you people? And how the fu@k did Michael get a grenade launcher? No, you know what? I don't want to know. I do not want to know." I can’t wait to find out how EVERYTHING is going to get resolved. Looking at you, Hannah and Simon (and the team).
After the everything that happens in book 1, I could wait to jump back into the excitement of book 2. Hannah thought she knew her sister but little did she realise how twisted she actually was once her childhood memories came back that’s when everything came together for Hannah. Sybil has taken everything Hannah ever loved or cared about from her. Her dreams, boyfriends, her job and even Simon the man who has made it his mission to destroy Sybil and the group she works for. She doesn’t want to help Rue and the rest of the team until she receives what Simon had promised her and then she jumps at it. Even though Simon betrayed her and used hannah to get his revenge, their is something about Simon that calls to her in a way she hasn’t had with anyone else. The only thing she can’t deny is Simon was right all along about her sister she is a monster. Dam I was not expecting that book to take the turn it did. Can’t wait for book 3!!
This story is progressing nicely. Hannah and Simon have some serious tension going on. There were a few spicy scenes that were done very well. Where will they go? Will it end in heartbreak?
Sybil... what is the deal with this woman? I'm as confused as Hannah from the comment Sybil made. It couldn't possibly explain the crazy. What happened when they were kids?
Maybe I'm wrong here... but hear me out. I think Hannah would make a fantastic addition to the Ghost team. All she really has to be okay with is a little light murder.... That's not so bad. Will Hannah join the team? Or will the team join Hannah? No, that couldn't work.
Hannah, what did you do???? Why? How can you fix this? I wanted to scream at the end. Waiting for book 3 is going to be torture. I can't wait!!
Side note- I can see the writing getting better as we progress through this series. This author has a lot of potential and I'm excited to see where she goes.
the second book in the series gets even more dangerous and crazy than the first one. After losing Simon to her sister, Hannah refuses to have anything to do with him and his team thanks to the betrayal; yet she gets convinced and joins them on the mission to retrieve Simon. Her career as FBI agent also hangs on a thread though, and with all the cards being played now, she will have to choose very carefully which strategy will lead to success and which to death.. This series is becoming crazy and definitely more violent as the reader gets deeper and deeper into the world of espionage, crime, violence, and undercover operations. But there is also very strong chemistry and steam-filled romance to balance the darkness, and both are balancing on the edge of a blade. I absolutely love the series so far and after the mad twist at the end of the book, I cannot wait for the next book to come out.
This is book 2 of the series, continuing from book 1 and it does end on a cliffhanger ready for book 3.
I am loving this series, it's really keeping me on my toes, I really don't know who to trust as everyone is keeping everything to themselves and not sharing informaton.
After being so blinkered in book 1 Hannah is starting to look at the way she interacted with Sybil throughout their lives and is realising how wrong it all was, but there is still lots we don't yet know about the sibling relationship. She seems so much more focused and switched on than in book 1.
I love all the characters in the story, and the attraction between Simon and Hannah is smoking.
This is shorter than book 1, but is just as action packed. There are a few twists int he book, but the one at the end was not what I was expecting. 'm really looking forward to seeing how the story continues.
Find Me is the Dangerous Entanglements book 2 of 3, and I can not wait for number 3 after this wild ride. Roman writes Hannah as such a human character, we are wrapped up in her story. She is smart and beautiful, and willing to get her hands dirty, but she isn't a superhero. She is FBI, doing her best to work out the tangled mess of Simon, his team, and her sister. We are dropped back in her story, and it had all the globe trotting adventures, secret meetings, and double crossing that made book one so epic. It has some spice and romance in it, but really, this is about the whole story, and reads as thriller, not as a spicy romance. This is Mission Impossible or Jason Bourne for women. Roman writes us a story that will keep us turning the page, regardless of what spice there is, and that speaks of an author who has storytelling ability, and a good plot.
This book picks up right where we basically left off in the first book. Once again I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down. Hannah feels like part of the team, trying to find Simon. And when she does help find him things get even more intense between the 2. Oh boy does it get intense...and the spice. Yup I knew it'd pick up and get better in this book. So worth the slow burn in the first book. But dang it the ending once again had a crazy twist of events that had me shocked. Like what just happened and whyyyyy?!?!?! I'm seriously kicking myself for not having the 3rd book on hand already. 😭 I hope to buy it at the end of the week. So I can find out what happens next and how it all wraps up.
Mere seconds after finishing See Me, I picked up Find Me. The second book in the series is just as catching as the first. I love the chemistry between the whole team, and I’m (not so) secretly hoping for books and HEAs for all the team members. Hannah is on a mission to find her elusive sister and bring her to justice. The action and deals made across agencies are intrikate and we are kept guessing about everything. Yet again, we are left on a slight cliffhanger (saw a review that said do not read due to the cliffie - I do NOT agree) that has me antisipating the final book in the trilogy. AR did an amazing job in their debut series. I can’t wait to finish it when book 3 releases.
This book starts directly after the first one ends with Hannah looking to find and rescue if needed the damsel ( in this case Simon) from his fate at the end of book 1. I love the character dynamics and the almost love-hate a lot like marmite relationship these two have. Threading through the story is the overall mystery with plot twists and turns a plenty. The book felt a little short but I think that is down to the fact that I devoured it fully in one sitting when I proceeded to hold up said book on my kindle and ask the author for more please very impatiently!
Find Me continues on right after the first book but now Agent Hannah (FMC) has had her eyes opened to all the secrets and lies that she'd been right in the middle of. More so with Simon and his team which some to back her when Simon goes missing and they need her help. Hannah shows her strength and resilience more so in this book especially because since the first book everyone seemed to have underestimated her. Which is a mistake on their behalf. My word was that cliffhanger ending was just outstanding. Im loving this series so much. Bring on book 3
Find Me, the second book in the Dangerous Entanglements series by Anne Roman was a riveting continuation with tons of twist and turns, deceit and betrayal and secrets and revelations that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
In this second book of the series, Roman confines to take us down a twisty suspense filled road ad Hannah and Simon’s story continues. With secretes and betrayal at every corner, the question is—can they survive?
If you love a good romantic suspense full of espionage and secrets then this is the story for you!
This is book 2 in Roman's Dangerous Entanglements series and loved it. The story continues and just gets better and better but these cliffhangers!!!! Makes me crazy waiting for more! The sibling relationship with Hannah and Sybil is becoming clearer although there is still more to learn there. I love the dynamic and chemistry between Hannah and Simon and the overall twists and turns in this story kept me captivated from start to finish.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.
Hannah, an FBI agent, had found out that Simon, a research scientist and her sister’s boyfriend, wasn’t who he said he was and is now dealing with the fallout from the events in Find Me. As the story progresses a kidnapping gets dicey, a reunion gets spicy, and the cost to their emotions could be pricey. Find Me set a thrilling pace for romance and suspense.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
See Me set the stage for one fantastic spy romance, and Find Me was just as addicting! Now that Agent Hannah knows who her sister truly is and the lies she has spun, the story is no longer about a sister seeking justice for a lost sister. Hannah also cannot get Simon, another person keeping secrets from her, out of her head. With even more betrayal, twists and turns, and unknown enemies, Find Me is an intense spy thriller full of action, suspense, intrigue and a spice level to the max! You do not want to miss what's next for this series!
Following on from the end of the last book, Simon has been captured and his team can't locate him. Hannah ,still reeling from the betrayal doesn't want anything to do with it until the team agree that they get Simon, she can have Sybil. So many questions! There is something deeper going on here and I have no clue what it is! Very cleverly written as I have no idea, not even a suspicion of where this is headed. Eagerly looking forward to the next book as I want answers!
Fantastic Continuation This book starts where the first book left off with Simon being taken. There was action, suspense, steam and so much more. We get a few questions answered and some things are revealed. Things also heat up between Hannah and Simon. Emotionally and physically. That ending had me screaming a bit, however it also makes me think something else is going on. I cannot wait for book 3 and I'm definitely curious what secrets are going to be uncovered. I loved it!!!
Find Me by Anne Roman, is the second installment in the 'Dangerous Entanglements' Series, and wow. This second installment continues with the intrigue and mystery but does give us some history to help us begin to understand the origins of our sisters. In this book, we're still feeling out the characters and it's no easy task because, there are secrets aplenty. There's a lot of mystery yet to be revealed so I really can't wait for the next book.
This is the second book in the Dangerous Entanglements series and starts up where the first book left off. The story is full of betrayal, action, espionage, some steam and twists and turns. Hannah needs her sister, Sybil to pay for what she has done and to find answers. This was a gripping book that kept you in its clutches until the very end. I can’t wait until the next book so I can get the answers I so want to know.
Excellent story, but a bit on the short side for my preference. This is a second book after See Me so read it first. Hannah is a b@d@$$ FMC. Simon is swoon worthy MMC. Together they're on fire, but with so much angst given the circumstances. I love the storytelling and character development. But I need to know what happens next!
Both books in this series were good but if I had realized I had to wait until 12/23 for the next one I would have waited until it came out to read all 3. My memory is not that good:). Several typos and extra words that took away some from the story but still recommend reading.
This continues right from where book one ends. Only now everything is so much more complicated now that we have answers. This book is even better than first if that’s possible. Simon is missing and his team are struggling to find him, will Hannah go back into a dangerous situation to see if she can find him. Brilliant book can’t wait for the next one.
Wow, things get interesting with Agent Hannah Kelly! She can't help but find Simon as they are continuously drawn together by an unstoppable force of fate. As the plot thickens so does the tension between them - and the ultimate betrayal and cliff hanger at the end - who will survive and who won't? This was another great mystery read, and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book!
