Adelaide has always been the odd duck of her family. Too emotional. Too whimsical. Too much of everything really, except ambitious. She'd made peace with that, had accepted it even. That is, until a man from her dreams showed up and shattered her whole world with a hidden truth about her.
When she finds out that magic is real and she holds a large amount of it, she and The Hatter, her favorite literary character come to life, will go on a journey to save his world, and learn that for the right man, too much is just perfect.

This book is an entertaining look at what happens when you take the Hatter out of Wonderland. The author gives the Mad Hatter character the opportunity to shine (although he has lost his color) in his own story.
The author has taken a minor yet loved character and shed new light, given him depth of personality, a glimpse behind the crazy and manages to endear him to the reader.
The Hatter is assisted by the main character Addy who goes on a mission to return the hatter to wonderland and to restore it to its former glory. Along the way Addy discovers her own family secret and is able to finally piece together the puzzle that seemed to be her life.
A fun, fast moving story of heroism, friendship and discovery. Highly recommend it!
I loved this book. I was hooked from the beginning, when we meet Hatter who has lost his color. Hatter is an adorable and sweet gentleman, who has lost his memory. Addy is a strong and caring young woman who becomes the hero of our story, discovering a secret about herself and family that is the key to saving Hatter and Wonderland.
The author does a wonderful job blending elements from the original story into an entirely new romantic adventure. This book, however, in my opinion is not a re-telling, but an absolutely original work loosly based on the characters found in the classic.
Her strong female lead, wonderful writing, and loveable Hatter, have turned me into a fan. I will definitely continue to read other works by this author.
I loved this book about a chivalrous and sexy Hatter. When he gets thrown out of Wonderland, Addy finds Hatter lost, delirious, and without color. As she finds out more about him, it raises questions about her own life and abilities. The author uses her great imagination to spin a tale that is about more than just the Mad Hatter but about magic, family, and true love. I highly recommend this book.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
My preference in genre is political action, like Tom Clancy. I also like John Grisham and Joel Rosenberg. Really not into mystical or magical or sappy romance. But the author kept the flow just right. I couldn't put the book down. A great read. I would recommend this book to any adult wishing to be captivated by great story. I truly loved it.
Adelaide had never really fit with her family. She felt different, like she wasn't looking for the same things. And she had accepted it. But when the man of her dreams shows up in her life and turns her life around, everything makes sense. She discovers that magic is real and that she has some. And Hatter, her favorite book character, is real. He brings her on a journey to save the world and she happily follows.
The concept of this book was quite fascinating! I liked that the author made the Mad Hatter come to the real world and how she dealt with all it entailed. However, I thought that the romance was wayyyyyyy too sudden and fast. It's a personal opinion, of course, but I don't like when characters fall in love without forming a real bond/connection. In this book, it was love at first sight and became a bit too cheesy and rushed for me. I still liked the book, though, because the romance is not the only thing this story has to offer. The magical plot was quite intriguing and interesting. It was a very good idea to link Wonderland to the real world and the subplot with Adelaide's family was surprising as well. The pace was rather good - apart from the romance that was a bit rushed and sometimes too present for my taste - and I really enjoyed myself while reading, even if the main character sometimes seemed childish for her age. Overall, it was a fun and original story.
I recommend if you like rewrites and love at first sight romance.
"He would annihilate my heart if things didn't turn out and I wasn't yet sure if I wanted to risk that."
The story was amazing. It's about a lady who finds a man named hatter. Come to find out it's actually the mad hatter from wonderland. He happens to be cast out of his book /world due to an evil witch that threatens a damage both worlds. I really enjoy the story, especially for the fact that the main characters had a psychic attachment to each other and could hear each other's thoughts. It became even more interesting as the relationship grew and became more spicy. I love the author's writing style and enjoyed the twists and turns they wrote within the story
This isn't your original fairytale but I loved it anyway!
The characters were so amazing! I loved reading about Hatter and Adelaide. Both strong willed characters that I fell in love with and felt a connection with!
The storyline was phenomenal! I loved the Alice and Wonderland retelling with a spin. I loved this entire story from beginning to end. Though I was hoping for a longer and bigger fight scene! Still highly recommend this read!
Nice, simple fairy tale plot. The confrontation with evil seemed a bit short, and the consummation a bit long. My only real complaint is that the Kindle version of this book needs to be proofread for spelling, grammar, correct use of punctuation and typos, by someone who knows the rules of those things. 😊
I love Alice in wonderland so much so when I found this book on the tbr takeover, I was so excited. I loved the story and all the characters you meet a long the way. There is a lot of spice so prepare yourself. I love the chemistry between the Mad Hatter and Addy and it makes for a great romance. I definitely recommend.
This book was just the cutest! I absolutely love this take of Hatter. It really brought him to life for me. He was playful and adorable and I adored the other characters as well.
The premise was interesting and their journey back to Wonderland was a wild ride!
TBR takeover review Very interesting book always wonder what mad Hatter would be like in a normal world and for wonderland magic to follow him and to meet someone and have his own adventure to get back home.
Intriguing Alice in Wonderland reimagining. Liked the relationship between the main character (Addy) and the Mad Hatter, and I liked the aunts. I had a hard time connecting with the writing style.
I enjoyed the premise of this story so immensely. The Hatter was such a loveable character and Adelaide was so relatable. The journey they take is full of wonder!
This whimsical and cozy fantasy follows Addy as the Mad Hatter enters her life and triggers her to take a journey to discover the magic within to help the Hatter find his way home.
Tropes include: Insta-love, found family and mates
Overall, there were some really nice elements to this novel and I loved the concept. However, I just wanted more Wonderland. I expected the book to take place primary in Wonderland at least the 2nd half. However the majority of time was spent with Addy’s aunts as she discovered the power within her. I think that had the training time been condensed and more time spent in Wonderland I probably would have rated it higher.
I also would have just liked a little more from the Hatter. A lot of time was spent with the aunts and at times overshadowed the relationship between Hatter and Addy.
It was just a bit too cozy for me though I did enjoy seeing Addy grow and blossom.
Overall, if you are looking for a cozy fantasy set in the real world where the fmc reconnects with family and finds inner strength then this novel is for you.
I really wanted to like this book, but it just didn't do it for me. I was really excited by the concept of it, magic and the Hatter in a modern world, but I found the book very flat, immature, unpolished and redundant. The main characters had no real personality or definition. Especially the Hatter who really amounted to just a lovesick puppy always chasing after Addy. The story also felt very rushed especially in the beginning and the end which was extremely anticlimactic. I'd say a good seventy percent of the book focuses on family mealtimes and overly mushy and cheesy lovey doveyness between Addy and Hatter with a little magic thrown in. I wanted more magic, more out of Hatter, more time in Wonderland, and much more action. But that's just me. That being said, I absolutely loved the three aunts!
This is a fun, whimsical, and magical read, featuring a favourite character of mine, the Mad Hatter. While it does feel rushed in places, it was just what I needed between some heavier reads. I'm a sucker for a good romance, and while it can certainly be classed as insta-love, the budding relationship between Hatter and Addy was super sweet. I also loved the relationships between Addy and her aunts, who were also great characters in their own rights. Add to this an atmospheric setting of a witchy cabin in magical woods, as well as Wonderland itself, and a surprise twist at the end, and you have a fast, fun read.
Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite stories, with the Mad Hatter being the most enjoyable character. To have a book represent his made me swoon, having his story told in a present day world to get back home was brilliant. Adelaide finding her true self through family she has never met and has to trust to bring out the powers she never knew she had.
Addy finds a strange grey man under a tree. This sets into motion her discovering a huge secret, finding lost family, falling in love, and discovering herself.
This story is unique and interesting, but feels more like a solid draft than a finished story. With a few changes, and some solid editing, this could be a great book.
I enjoyed this story; the Hatter is hot, sweet, and loveable. Addy is fantastic; I love her story arc. I love the magic the author created in this story; it's the kind of stuff you wish you could do and be a part of. I adore the aunts- ADORE them- I want to live in their house, eat their amazing meals, and learn everything I can from them. They're fabulous characters.
This is a fun retelling with plenty of whimsy, romance, and character growth! Fun read! As a GA native the geography tripped me up BUT it’s a fantasy type story so I can look past it for the sake of moving the pace of the story along! I’d still highly recommend it!
