Torres Sisters Christmas #3

Two Pink Lines for Christmas

Rate this book
JUSTICE
I’m more than happy in my life. The bakery I own with my sisters is doing well, I have a best friend who knows all my secrets and I’m content with a string of satisfying, short-lived partners in my past. It might not land me on the naughty list, but there’s only one thing I want that I haven’t grabbed ahold of with both hands. A baby.
I’m more than fine with the thought of becoming a mother without a permanent man in my life. Who needs one anyway? I know my value and none of the guys in my past have been worth more than a good time. The only guy who can keep up with me is my best friend, Corbin, and he has a wake of broken hearts behind him just like I do.
This Christmas I’m inspired to go after what I really want with no apologies. I’m not interested in a stranger’s DNA, but Corbin has a lot to offer when it comes to a baby daddy. I’m a little surprised by how seriously he’s taking the whole thing, but I’m not looking for a commitment. So, how does my heart get involved?
CORBIN
I’ve been good keeping my relationships with women superficial and fleeting. Why would I need anything deeper when I have Justice for all the emotional stuff? She gets me and doesn’t judge me for not being interested in more than a night or two with a woman.
We’re so similar in our love lives and we’ve never let anyone stand in the way of our friendship. Finding out she harbors a need for a baby? I did not see that one coming. When she asks me for help, I’m willing, but there’s no way a cup and a doctor is getting involved. Not when I can make my own deposits.
She thinks I’m going to give her what she needs and then go back to only being her best friend, but it’s not going to happen. The moment I experience all her curves in my hands, I know I’m a goner. I’m going to be giving her more than the two pink lines she wants for Christmas; I’m going to give her forever with me by her side.

*18+ If you like alpha heroes and an insta-love story that is sweet and spicy but isn’t necessarily simple, then this is for you. No cheating with a guaranteed HEA. It is a standalone but is related to my Sullivan Protection Series. Meet Justice in Never Going to Care (Sullivan Protection Book 1), Fudge Around and Find Out (Merry Fudgin’ Christmas), and Tied Up in Tinsel (XXXMas Series).*

Polish your jingle bells, strategically hang the mistletoe, and get ready to claim your spot on The Naughty List. This holiday season, fourteen of your favorite authors are spicing up the cocoa and taking advantage of those long winter nights, proving that sometimes it’s more fun to claim your coal than it is to stay on Santa’s good side. After all, well-behaved women might make the nice list, but naughty ones have all the fun…

¡Quiero un Corbin para navidad por favor!

🎄Two Pink Lines for Christmas de Ember Davis✨

Argumento:

🎀JUSTICE

Adoré a Corbin!

Since high school Justice and Corbin have been best friends. They're each other's wing-person and always their number one person. Both have had relationships end because their boyfriend/girlfriends were jealous of their friendship with the other.
But for this year Justice is ready to claim something she's secretly been coveting for.
A baby.
But she doesn't just want anyone to give her the baby she so craves. But will asking the one man she trusts with something this big and important ruin the friendship they have?
For years Corbin always said he wasn't the guy who should be giving love advice. Afterall, he hasn't had a succesful relationship last past a few tumbles in the sheet. But he does have a friendship that he values and that's what he's used at times when giving advice. However, when Justice asks him for something close and important to her, pieces in his life seem to kind of slide into place. Eyes are opened and Corbin realizes the reason none of his or Justice's relationships worked out is because the one they should be with has been right in front of their faces.

While Justice is ready to claim her coal and the one things she wants more than anything, is she ready to put her heart on the line? Is she willing to put the one friendship that has meant more to her than any other on the line?

I liked this book. I especially liked the big gesture that Corbin did to show how all in he was with Justice and their relationship.

Cute story! It's a nice childhood friends to lovers story about falling in love during Christmas. These two friends have always helped one another in the romance department, but when she decides she wants to make her ultimate christmas wish come true, to have a baby, she turns to the one man who has always been with her. Even in this short novella, the author takes time to allow the characters to navigate this transition from being close friends, to partners and people who love one another so deeply, now on a romantic level. It can be daunting to take that next step, especially when your partner is already so involved in your family.
I really enjoyed this story and I am going to read the other sisters' books.

From best friend to obsession!

All Corbin can hear in his mind is...Take her. Claim her. Breed her....Take her. Claim her. Breed her.....He can think of nothing but Justice and forever, he knows it will be a bumpy road, that she will fight it, doubt it, fear it. But he is determined, he doesn't give up, he holds his heart out for everyone to see, and for that he is my hero! He's not a big growly Alpha like the guys of Higgins or Sullivan protection, but he is plenty possessive, an expert dirty talker and so damn sweet....I willingly handed my heart over.
I have read the other two sisters books this Christmas, both by Ember Davis, in the Merry Fudgin' Christmas and the XXXMas series, and whilst they were good, this is the best. I LOVED it.
I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

This little novella is bringing the spice. Justice and Corbin are heating up the pages while working on claiming Justice’s coal.

Justice and Corbin have been friends for years, their friendship has also affected some of their previously relationships. When Justice askes Corbin to help her claim her coal, it really puts things in different perspective and the man is all in when it comes to her.

I loved Justice and Corbin’s friendship. They have a strong connection and they are always on each others mind. Plus, their chemistry is off the charts! I couldn’t get enough. Plus, when Corbin finds out what Justice wants….the man in all in and obsessive.

If you’re looking for a friends to lovers, holiday romance this is one to check out.

Justice and Corbin have been best friends since high school. Both of them are opposed to commitment, and neither of them is willing to make each other a second priority. When Justice realizes she wants to have a baby, she can’t think of anyone better than her best friend Corbin to be her sperm donor. Corbin then realizes that the reason none of his relationships have worked out. It’s because he’s been in love with Justice the whole time. Now he just has to convince her that he’s in it for the long-haul, and that they are meant to be.

Having read Ms.Davis's work before i've been looking so forward to picking up more of her work! As soon as i found out about this Naughty List book i knew i had to pick it up next! I got right into this story. I enjoyed it so much!

Justice and Corbin's journey captured my attention right from the start! These two have been best friends for years. When Justice is determined to claim her coal in the form of having a baby, she asks Corbin. Corbin is determined to make his best friend's dream come true this Christmas, but not in the way she expects. Will these two create a life and go their separate ways? or can this holiday season bring the gift of love for these two?

I really liked Justice and Corbin's friendship. I found both of them to be relatable. After Justice asks Corbin, i couldn't wait to see how everything would play out for these two. I didn't quite know how they'd handle their feelings which kept me turning the pages even more so. I loved how Corbin was with Justice, especially when it came to caring and his blushworthy talk. The chemistry between these two was undeniable and steamy! I felt so much with both of them throughout!

With Two Pink Lines for Christmas, Ms.Davis has created a good holiday read that'll keep you turning the pages! I am so looking forward to picking up more of this author's work in the future!

Will her best friend give her everything she wants this holiday season?
Acting as each other's wingman for more times than they can count, they've each seen the other with their revolving door of one-night stands. Commitment-phobes, except when it comes to their friendship. But when Justice thinks about claiming her coal this holiday season, there is only one thing she wants . . . a baby. And there is only one man she can think of who'd be a perfect donor.

Corbin compares every relationship to what he has with Justice. He even uses his experiences with her to help with his advice for his radio show. Justice throws him for a loop when she asks him to donate to her holiday wish. It's then he realizes he wants more. He wants it all. He just needs to convince her that they are perfect for each other.

This is a light-hearted holiday novella with plenty of steam. I just couldn't get behind Justice. She's a commitment-phobe but there is no reason for it. She never went through a bad breakup; her parents are still together and in love. So where is the fear coming from? The fact that she wants a baby, the biggest commitment a person can make, is crazy. If she can't commit to date someone more than once, what makes her think she can commit to a kid for eighteen+ years. I love the relationship the two shared but thought the premise of having a baby a little far-fetched.

4.5 stars. Justice, the female lead, is happy with almost every aspect of her life but she wants a baby. Given she doesn’t have a partner and doesn’t expect to find one she’s happy with, she asks Corbin, the male lead and her best friend, to be her sperm donor. Whilst initially shocked, Corbin is pushed to realise that, actually, he’s more than happy to create a child with Justice because he loves her and wants a full relationship with her. Now he just needs to convince her that she wants more than a strange friends with benefits relationship…

This novella is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy Christmas romance. I enjoyed Justice’s focus on her goals and her willingness to pursue it. I also understood her struggle to allow her friendship with Corbin to morph into something else. I enjoyed Corbin’s gentle persistent pursuit and his willingness to give Justice the processing time and space she needed. I enjoyed their inundate engagements and the dirty talk. I also appreciated timely secondary character engagement to facilitate moving the relationship on.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

The ultimate friends to lovers novella! Especially for those breeder lovers out there.

Justice has just about everything that she wants in her life, except a baby. She figures she doesn’t need a man in her life for that, except for the obvious, so she goes to the only man that she trusts - her BFF Corbin.

Corbin hasn’t ever considered Justice as anything more than a friend…has he? After Justice drops that bomb on him, he starts to wonder. Then his inner voice starts to pound its chest and insist that he take her and make her his, breed her, claim her. He certainly gives into that inner voice!

For a whole month we are treated to scorching hot scenes between Justice and Corbin, but not only that but we are privy to their inner monologues about how they’ve been coming to realize that their feelings for each other haven’t been strictly platonic for some time.

Always check the TW/CW:
💥use of the word “breeding”
💥lengthy discussions about conception

Anywho! Time to wrap this up with the goodies:

Spice: 4 🌶🌶🌶🌶

I love when an author can tell a complete story, and get me reaching for the tissues, in a steamy holiday novella. And Ember Davis is a master at that craft. Two Pink Lines for Christmas was the perfect holiday week read, complete with a solid storyline, relatable characters, and all the feels.

This is a best friends to lovers book that really works. It has the perfect amount of angst, and the characters’ imperfections are raw and honest and real. Justice and Corbin quickly worked their way into my heart. They’re beautifully written honest characters. I love the way they go for what they want, but also recognize, eventually, that what they need can change everything. And once they truly understand and accept what they need for their HEA, their transformations are heartwarming and wonderful.

Plus, Davis serves up some serious steam in this one! And the supporting characters are well placed, well written, and make me want to dive into each of their individual stories without making me feel like I’m missing something. Two Pink Lines for Christmas is the perfect one-sitting read for the holidays that just may lead to your next author backlist book binge.

Two Pink Lines for Christmas by Ember Davis is part of The Naughty List Series ❤️🎄

Justice & Corbin

Best friend's since highschool. She's claiming her coal. She wants a baby. His feelings are starting to change but he can't quite figure out why he looks at his best friend a little different now. Until it all hits him smack in the face with one very heavy question!

Will he help his best friend have a baby? Will he tell her he's been in love with her? Will she feel the same way?

I loved this friends to lovers holiday novella. It was fun to watch them navigate the changes in their relationship. For them to come to terms with the realization that they've always been more. To the push back Justice gives Corbin when she gets scared and how he truly will give her whatever her heart desires because he loves her so much. The epic radio show!! Claiming her coal!! & them both getting their HEA!! Loved it!! ❤️

Women were held to a higher standard than men in moral code, when a female actress lost her movie contract for inappropriate sexual activities on her own time during the holiday season. When asked for a comment she said something on the order of "claim my coal" from the naughty list which became a slogan for women everywhere. Justice Torres the third sister in the bakery decided what her "claim my coal" was rather quickly. She wanted a baby. She did not want to go to a sperm bank, because she did not trust those men to tell the truth about themselves. She wanted to use her bestfriend, Corbin. They had been friends since the beginning of high school. He would be perfect. She only had to convince him to do it. He had a plan of his own. Enjoy this most unusual story to see if these two come to an agreement.

This book is a part of The Naughty List series and focuses on Corbin and Justice. They have been best friends since high school and both were commitment phobes. They had been each other's wing people for years and both known for only wanting casual and very brief relations. When Justice goes to Corbin to ask him if he would be willing to donate his sperm so she could have a baby, feelings that he had long since suppressed came flying to the surface and he immediately knew that his soulmate had been right there in front of him all this time. He is determined to make Justice his forever and give her everything she could possibly dream of. I love how once Corbin’s feelings clicked with him he was 100% all in. He worked so hard to prove to Justice that he was the perfect person for her and that he would always be the person for her. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

I absolutely loved Two Pink Lines for Christmas: The Naughty List. The final book for the Torres sisters. Justice realizes what she wants for Christmas and she wants it from her best friend Corbin. Will he be up for the challenge? It’s a big ask and after Corbin realizes his true feelings for Justice and makes it his mission to make sure they have a future together. He just needs to keep Justice out of her own head and on the right path. When things take a negative turn will Corbin be able to convince Justice they are worth the fight? Such a great storyline and lovable characters. I wish there were more sisters. I would definitely recommend this book and the series. I would recommend all books by Ember Davis she is the best.

I think this one is my favorite out of all of this series, which is weird because I don't usually love baby stories. This one is a different premise and since it's also best friends to lovers, I ate it up and couldn't read it fast enough!

Corbin and Justice have been friends since they were kids. They are each other's best friend and when Justice decides to "claim her coal" and have a baby, there is only one person she can logically think of to be the father: Corbin. When Justice makes her request of him, a switch is flipped in Corbin and he sees that Justice is that girl that he's been waiting for. But can he make her see while they are giving her a baby that they could be good at forever?

A quick, spicy little read with a happily ever after and friends who see that their "perfect one" has been there all along!

Okay, so I absolutely adored Corbin and Justice’s best friends to lovers romance! Corbin and Justice have been best friends their entire lives, but it’s always been strictly platonic, at least, until now. Justice wants a baby, but she doesn’t want the complications of a relationship either. So when she asks Corbin to become the father of her baby via a bank, she doesn’t think anything will be different. But when he agrees - as long as they do it the old fashioned way - everything changes. Corbin and Justice had the sweetest romance ever, with the slightest hint of angst. I loved that Corbin fell first, and that he was so patient with Justice and determined to prove to her that he was in this forever. Justice needed a little bit more convincing, but I was so proud of her for overcoming her fears and letting herself be happy. All in all, I’d definitely recommend!!!

As with most all the other books in this series, it all started with an ill-fated interview for Hollie Berry where she winds up telling women to #claimyourcoal. In this story, our heroine has decided that her 'coal' is going to be a baby sans husband. She only wants a donor. She finally decides that since most guys lie, the only man she will trust to give her a baby is her best friend. What could possibly go wrong? Our poor hero is surprised and shocked when first approached, but soon he is singing a different tune and trying to figure out how to get our heroine to agree to a new plan of attack. I'm sure that you will enjoy this fun book and learning about what happens when good friends become much more.

Justice is wanting to claim her coal this Christmas and it does not involve a man, just the baby. Except going to get donated sp*rm isn’t exactly the route she wants to take because she doesn’t want it to just be a stranger. Justice thinks of the perfect man to go to. It just so happens this man is her BFF Corbin! There’s no reason he wouldn’t be the perfect guy to get a donation from!

This was very hot & steamy! 🌶️🌶️ The way Corbin owns Justice and has a little bit of a breeding kink 😍 talk about a dreamy man!! Of course included is a nice HEA which was everything I wanted for Justice and Corbin! If you’re looking for a cute pregnancy Christmas romance I recommend picking this up for the holidays!

AMAZING! Just wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! This story between Justice and Corbin was just lovely. They've been best friends for years, but when Justice decides she wants a baby, she takes a chance and asks Corbin to be the sperm donor. He's gobsmacked, and then it hits him: SHE's. THE. ONE. He moves fast and tells her he'll help her, but they're going to do this the old fashioned way! As they navigate this big change in their lives, it goes through sweeping highs and low lows. I laughed at their antics. I cried. At times, I bit my nails or felt close to bursting. I felt Justice's fear and indecision. Ember Davis wrung every emotion from me as I read her latest book. I loved every minute of it!

A swoony holiday romance

I enjoyed Corbin and Justice’s friends to lovers baby making romance. Corbin and Justice have been best friends since they were in high school. They are both relationship averse and get their emotional support from each other. But when Justice asks Corbin to donate sperm so she can have a child, he experiences a tectonic shift in how he sees her. Then it’s a fun, sexy, and swoony journey to their HEA. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive family and friends, and all the love. Despite being short, the story was well written and included witty dialogue, fairly well developed characters, and an engaging storyline. 3.75 stars

Corbin and Justice have been friends for so long that they are each other confidants and will do anything to protect one another. Neither of them is big on relationships, but they like to have a good time with others. When Justice decides to claim her coal it's not the usual way. She wants a baby but without the relationship. Corbin never thought he would have his best friend ask for something he had not to clue she was thinking about it. He gave it some thought and knows he will do whatever he can to help her. The thing is he's going to do it his way whether Justice likes it or not. What happens when feelings get involved and her dream starts to become a reality? Can Corbin show her what's right in front of her before it's too late?

Reagan and Izzy’s sister Justice finally gets her story. Justice and Corbin have been best friends for years. Neither believes in relationships and have always had each other’s back. Justice decides she wants something but needs Corbin’s help. She’s scared that it will ruin their friendship and she’ll be left with nothing. Corbin can’t believe the favour that Justice asked of him but it was the kick he needed to realize how he really felt about her. He’ll have to be careful though so she doesn’t run scared because he’s all in and not letting her go. A sweet story about best friends finally realizing what they mean to each other and going after what they really want. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book that I've read by Ember Davis, and I really loved it!

Justice is ready to claim her coal- and her best friend, Corbin, is the perfect person to help her with this task. They've known each other since high school, and neither of them has ever had a successful relationship, partly because it's hard for others to accept that a guy and girl can be such close friends. But when Justice decides she wants to have a baby, can their friendship survive?

Two Pink Lines at Christmas is another standalone in the Naughty List Christmas series. These are all standalones, tied together by a commonality of #claimyourcoal.

I will be going back and reading more from Ember Davis!

Justice is the owner of a successful bakery with her sisters, and Corbin is her best friend. When Justice decides that she wants a baby, she asks Corbin for help, as neither of them have had a successful relationship. Corbin agrees but he wants it to happen the natural way. Will these two be able to move on from friends / lovers? This is a well written story which is a sweet and quick read, with family, friendships, emotions, romance, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

When she asks him, to help her have a baby, Corbin is shocked. She wants his sperm in a cup, but that't not going to happen. He has one request, and they are going to have a baby the old fashion way.
This was such a fun, quick, friends to lover romance. Corbin and Justice are such great friends, and when they take it to a new level the connection and the spice are just great.
Corbin is all in, and he will do anything to make Justice's dreams come true. A true friends to lovers.

So good! This friends to lovers tale is different than ones I usually read, where one is pining for the other who is oblivious. In Two Pink Lines, Justice and Corbin have been best friends for years, often acting as each other's wingman with no desire or jealousy on either of their parts. When Justice asks Corbin to father her child, a switch is flipped and he realizes that things never worked out in the past because the right person was already at his side. It takes Justice longer to come to terms with her feelings and her fears almost ruin everything. In the end, love prevails for a happy ending.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. The final sister gets her love story when her best friend offers Justice everything she wants and more. I liked both Justice and Corbin, but his character was my favorite. The way that they finally see what they've been developing all along between them was like blinders coming off. I liked how he was the definition of "all in" after that. Friendship gives them the foundation they need but there are still obstacles. Justice claimed her coal and much more. It was a fast paced, friends to family love story that I enjoyed. Plenty of humor and high heat in this one but still heartwarming

Justice runs a bakery with her sister’s and watching them find love reminds her of the one thing she really wants and that’s a baby, but she doesn’t want to find love! When she decides to start looking into her options her gorgeous best friend Corbin volunteers to be her baby daddy! Corbin has been friends with Justice for years so when she says she wants a baby he’s more than happy to volunteer! Only he never expected to fall for his best friend! Now he just has to show her that they belong together! Can they find their happily ever after? Another great book by Ember Davis!.
