Waaaaay better than the first issue omg! This was pretty good! Love the dynamic between the robins and the art is great too! I’m not a huge fan of how they draw nightwing in this run but that’s just a personal preference thing, the rest of it looks good. The plot is a bit loose so far but I think it’s getting better! That poison ivy joke was 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

The bigger plot I had high hopes for is barely in this volume.

Nightwing butting in and talking his way out of Bruce's command was great and all, but I don't get why everyone was all Oh my god, you lied to Bruce you're so cool! when he only said they'd stay out of the database and lie low as far as they can, being superheroes and all (paraphrasing). IMO he never really lied, he just talked his way out of it, without ever saying they'd stay off the case...

The backstories on the Robin's are cool and all, but also weird. Only Dick's story felt like an actual test, the others didn't even look like a test. Except for the pass/fail thing.

Stephanie's story left a bad taste in my mouth too. "She disobeyed my order by choosing to save my life, and she's not trying to avenge her parents, FAIL." Like what? You've got to be kidding me? I'm sorry, you're failing her for saving your life? And for having slightly different daddy issues than you? That's both really stupid and shallow of you Bruce. And not just that, there does seem to be a bit of a bias against Stephanie even amongst the Robins. I'm glad she keeps calling it out though.

It's especially annoying seeing that Jason possibly killing a man is a PASS, because Batman doesn't have clear evidence, Damien, kidnapping and deciding not to kill the Robin at that point is a PASS, but Stephanie saving Batman's life is a fail. I can't get over the reasoning they portrayed in this issue. Now, I want to point out that I haven't read any of the issues where Stephanie was Robin, so all my judgement is solely based on this one issue, but god, it's frustrating.

The characterisation of the Robins and the side characters is very weak. They don't feel and act like actual people, except maybe for Bruce (who was barely in this). I do kinda like Stephanie, but that might also just be because of the injustice in her treatment. This issue makes almost everyone kinda unlikeable.

The art is still not my cup of tea, but it stays consistent. Except somehow Nightwing's hair grew even longer since the past issue?

I know I said I'd probably finish this either way because there's only six issues, but I have to admit that I kinda lost interest already. I had high hopes, but unfortunately this volume did nothing to make me feel like it is actually going to live up to its potential.

Much better than issue 1, but the art is less of an issue when they're in uniform (except for Nightwing...ug). The group dynamic is there and awkwardness with Steph is addressed. It's cool to see their gauntlets lined up together, too, and get that one line summary of each Robin.

A couple good Jason Todd/Red Hood moments, but overall, I found his characterization lacking: in the end, he says some things that make me cringe because I can't see him saying them.

That being said, this continues to be decent, although I'd hoped it would be better when I started.

if you count this a “fun” read, you’ll enjoy it better but i’m still kinda not feeling it. there’s bits and pieces that were funny, questionable and just not it. but like i said, don’t read it with expectations, just enjoy the ride.

I enjoyed the first book more then this one but I will likely collect all 6 issues as the series interests me enough.

A nice summary in this one of how the Robins all got that mantle, even though some of them didn’t hold it very long.

Not sure how I feel about the story but I love the art and seeing all the Robins in one place.
