A tremendous story is about faith and family.

Great character development. In particular, the main character, Lucia, who fights bad experiences and the despair that accompanies it.

Finally she begins a new journey with her family. She meets new people during this process to find peace.

A strong story with a fast moving plot. I highly recommend.

I enjoyed 'Full Circle' because this great story digs deeply into life, from all the different aspects of loving, the twists and turns of rejecting love, hating love, of fostering and building of loving and non-loving relationships, or at times to that of a loss so profound though there is always the contrasting joy, of the discovery of love. The twists and turns of life and love... in other words a human story of a woman's journey in life and the facets of life she meets and must overcome.
So much happens in Lucia's Story to illustrate
how a ripe love can easily turn sour, and how the sourness of a cruel love can hurt, and deflate the soul. But love, even when destroyed can, if given the chance be allowed to re-build, re-discover new opportunities, re-form and re-evaluate what is, and is not truly gained and valued through love.
This book tells of how a bad relationship, lack of sharing in marriage and selfishness can impose on a partner in marriage. The release of the unhappiness is only exposed and escaped from by death, and this bereavement encourages new strengths Lucia didn't even know she had inside her. Her life takes a swing in a totally different direction. She finds her resolve and strength in working to gain independence, and is able to grow closer to the people she loves. What a story! This is a build up with many good results. I like the lightness of the prose, as the story becomes filled with true optimism toward starting life afresh. I would say it's well worth a purchase and read and recommend this as a 5 star reading. Reviewed by Irene Edwards

Vince and Lucia Rossi are married with two kids, Mario and Anna. Life isn’t the easiest for the Rossis’ in 1967 because, while struggling financially, Vince is also an abusive husband and doesn’t treat his family very well. Lucia is a strong women and does all she can with help from close friends and family. They get a lot of help from Sam who is married to Vince’s sister. He helps out by always being there for Lucia and the kids whenever they need him, even if he has to protect them from Vince. He really cares for them and wants them all to be happy, and I loved this part of Sam. Vince eventually pays for the consequences of his actions, which leave Lucia as a single mother with two kids to support.

One of my favorite characters in this thought-provoking book was Sam. He was so caring and generous with Lucia and the kids. He wanted what was best for them, even if it meant threatening Vince on how he treats them. He experiences some heartache in the story too but in the end he is as happy as Lucia. I know this is 'Lucia's Story' but Sam just resonated with me.

I really enjoyed the emotional connection between the characters. It was heartwarming and one of the more compelling elements to this story. Lucia’s determination and passion shows through her love for hers kids. She was in a unhealthy relationship while in her marriage, but she never let the kids be affected by it or let it show. Lucia's character has so much depth and I enjoyed how we got to explore that depth throughout the story.

This is a character driven story, with Lucia at the center of it, and I heartily enjoyed following her. The characters were all well developed, even Vince, as they all felt authentic. Vince was the main obstacle throughout the story and once he was gone there wasn’t much more to overcome. I would have enjoyed following Lucia through different events because I enjoyed seeing how she handled situations. I did love the addition of some characters, like Luke, who brought more entertainment to the story. The romance between him and Anna was sweet and lovely to read about. The story follows different characters and jumps back and forth between them, which keeps readers on their toes and ensures we're always engaged with where the story is heading next.

Full Circle by Robert J Saniscalchi takes readers on a heartfelt journey with compelling characters. I would recommend this book to readers who are looking for an impassioned novel that exemplifies the importance of family and love and shows how honesty and loyalty play pivotal roles in our lives.

Full Circle is a story of Lucia who endures all kinds of hardships in her marriage from an abusive husband to financial distress. Lucia's husband dies in a car accident and she has the chance to make life better for herself and her children. The book majorly focuses on family, faith and hope.
The plot is quite short and easy to read and there is great character development. Lucia is miserable in the beginning but eventually ends up as a happy person with Sam who also experiences the loss of his beloved wife. I really enjoyed the book and highly recommend it.

Robert Saniscalchi’s Full Circle: Lucia's Story is a deeply moving and intimate portrait of one woman’s struggle to reclaim her life from the shadows of despair. Edited by Matt McAvoy, this novel shines as a testament to the enduring power of faith, family, and the unexpected grace that can appear on the hardest of journeys.

The story centers on Lucia, a protagonist whose vulnerability and strength are rendered with palpable authenticity. Saniscalchi does not shy away from plunging her into the “depths of darkness,” making her subsequent fight for peace and a better life all the more poignant and earned. This is not a story of easy solutions, but of the arduous, day-by-day work of healing, a narrative that will resonate deeply with anyone who has faced their own seasons of loss or turmoil.

The novel’s greatest strength is its warm, familial heart. Lucia’s journey is inextricably linked to her family, and their dynamic is portrayed with genuine affection and complexity. Their shared prayers, struggles, and hopes form the emotional core of the book. The “new friends” Lucia meets along the way are not mere plot devices, but lifelines and mirrors, each contributing to the theme that community and kindness are essential catalysts for recovery.

Saniscalchi’s prose is straightforward and earnest, pulling the reader directly into Lucia’s personal world with a sense of immediacy. The pacing balances moments of quiet reflection with genuine “excitement and drama,” creating a narrative flow that feels both realistic and engaging. The recurring question of fate and luck is woven throughout, inviting readers to ponder the role of providence and chance in steering our lives toward redemption.

Full Circle is an uplifting and heartfelt read. It is a story about finding light after darkness, strength in unity, and the beautiful, often surprising ways our lives can come full circle to a place of peace. A sincere and encouraging novel for anyone who believes in the power of second chances and the unbreakable bonds of family.

The book takes place at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and opens with Lucia’s husband, Vince Rossie, a heavy drinker who has trouble holding a job, losing a large sum of money at a poker game. As he is accustomed to doing, he takes his losses out on his wife and his two children, Anna, 14, and Mario 10. The story centers around Lucia’s struggles trying to deal with the hard realities of her life, and as the novel progresses, she faces greater and graver problems. What I liked most about this book was the way the author created people who the reader respects and cares about. I found this a very engaging and inspiring story.

Lucia’s Story succeeds as a deeply human narrative that centers women’s lived experiences with compassion and nuance. Lucia is not portrayed as flawless, which makes her growth all the more impactful. The novel carefully balances plot and introspection, giving readers time to connect with the character’s struggles and triumphs. Themes of independence, self-worth, and survival are explored in a grounded, relatable way. The author’s attention to emotional detail elevates the story, allowing readers to feel invested in Lucia’s journey. This book is a meaningful contribution to feminist literature and an excellent discussion pick.
