Sweet and kind Annalise has just started her college life. As an Omega she-wolf, she doesn't have high expectations in life or love. Happy to spend her days with her friends and family, her life gets turned upside down when she meets her mate. Strong, powerful and of high rank, he is the exact opposite of her.
Liam is a high-ranking Lycan, firstborn son to the Alpha of Silverlake pack, expected to take over the pack. Known to be distant, cold and of incredible strength, he has been searching for his mate for years. When he coincidentally accompanies his younger brother to his college event, he finally stumbles over her.
When Liam and Annalise meet it's like two worlds are colliding. Annalise is certain that a powerful Lycan like Liam will instantly reject a weak Omega she-wolf... won't he?
While there are people who are not happy about such an alliance, she soon realizes that the biggest battle is the one against her own insecurities.
Disclaimer: The book contains scenes of an adult nature, including mature scenes, sexual encounters and strong language. Not meant for anyone under the age of 18.
Don't listen to anyone that says this writing is good. It isn't. The author didn't use any pronoun contractions (lots of I am or She is) but would use don't or won't. F-ing weird and unnatural to read. The FMC is a total Mary Sue wet blanket. I didn't get to any sex scenes but I cannot imagine they would be any good. Did ChatGPT exist in 2022? The world building was not super clear either. Why are there both Alpha and Beta ranks as well as designations? All those 5 star reviews have to be from ARC readers that felt required to say something nice.
One of the best books I have read! Author is superior in writing! The depth of the story and characters keep you on the edge of your seat! Constantly wanting for more! As the first book in the series, it is the beginning of some of the greatest stories I have read! Definitely read it!!! Over and over again!
I wanted to like this book more than I did. There was a lot of stuff going on that needed to be resolved and it caused the book to be drawn out longer than necessary. I found myself kind of struggling to get through this. I liked the characters a lot. They were very dynamic and managed to make themselves memorable even though there were so many of them. The spice in this book has a moderate frequency but the heat is very low with it. Like the scenes are maybe one paragraph. There are some that were longer but they just lacked the heat to make them worth while. I found myself skipping them more times than not. If this book was just a tad bit shorter and had one thing as the main issue that needed to be resolved instead of a bunch of side quest then I would have liked it more. I'd recommend this to someone who is just getting into shifter books and needs something to ease them in with light spice.
Very long story. I usually love myself a long drawn out story. But with this one I felt myself a bit bored. Had a few repetitive instances with insecurities. Found myself wanting to understand more with the world building then what we actually got. I'm so confused with the humans here. Do they all know about the wolves or lycans? Is it just dave? Why aren't humans allowed on pack lands? We also get a murder mystery that somehow we all but forget? It gets pushed back while a huge crazy story unfolds. Was the book bad? Not Not necessarily, was the book great? could've been better. I guess in the end, I just wanted to be captured by it. But I felt like reading this was more of a chore. Dnf @66%
Isi R is an amazing writer. She brings the characters to life. Liam’s and Annalise story is sweet and beautiful. From the beginning shy and nervousness to the intense, passion. The story brings you to laughter and tears in the same breath. Truly an amazing story of love conquers all. Thank you Isi R. For sharing your talents, treasures and gifts with us.
This book will give you a roller coaster of so many emotions that it leave you speechless an wanting more. This book is not just a fun an enjoyable read it’s also so easy to relate to the characters and their story’s.
This book is a breath of fresh air from the usual possessive and domineering Alpha books. The relationship between Annie and Liam is something even us humans should strive to achieve. Simply wonderful.
THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY A MUST READ. I have been following Isi R since day one on the Dreame app and I just love her book and her writing soooo much, that I’m addicted to it. I’m patiently waiting for every update and I’ve finished reading this book and now that it’s here I am delighted to have a copy and will still wait for the paperback copy. Guys you should grab this book and you won’t regret it, I promise. A MUST READ! YOU’ll ENJOY! ❤️🥳
The first of an excellent series of books which the author is amazing to have created. I loved every minute of the story and have read them all multiple times. I highly recommend this book and the others in the series.
This book deserves all the love. It’s my guilty pleasure. I have lost the count how many time I have read it. The ML FL are to die for. It shows how a ML should cherish a FL. How you should believe in yourself. This is an amazing book. MUST MUST MUST read
Absolutely loved this book! So glad that Isa has been able to release these books into the wild; I am looking forward to owning the paperbacks once they get published and following more of her stories.
I really struggled to rate this book. There were parts I enjoyed but others that I found difficult to get through.
Overall the plot was an interesting premise and had the right ingredients to be an engaging and entertaining read. However the pace was far too slow. Having read it on my kindle I hadn’t fully appreciated just how long the book is. At nearly 500 pages there is plenty that couldn’t have been reduced/removed without there being and detriment to the story line.
I also found the writing style incredibly formal. There are almost no contractions throughout the entire book which I found at odds with the chosen genre and target audience. There were times when the author used colloquialisms in character portrayal that didn’t really land because of the formal language- thinks like ‘I have kinda’ if a character is using the word ‘kinda’ it’s likely they would say ‘I’ve’ and whilst these are little things they did spoil the flow for me.
I think the story has huge potential but would benefit from a round of editing.
This paranormal romance is exciting and packed with everything you love in new adult fiction. I tend to get hooked on it, but this is all available in one perfect read. I love that this book has similar tropes to the pay-to-read chapter books you find on certain apps. A lot is going on with fated mates, a Lycan prince, an omega wolf, and pack issues. But the author jumps from one story drama to the next perfectly while watching Annie and Liam grow into a fantastic, mature, and respectful couple. Feel free to binge this.
This story has quite some steamy content as the mates can't keep their hands to themselves. But I truly loved how this story ended. I loved that this story is set in a paranormal environment. The family is unique in this book, and all the characters are different but relatable. Still, the author includes real-life issues, like self-doubt, bullying, healthy relationships, acceptance, and true love. I honestly can't wait to read more by this self-published author.
Annalise or Annie is moving into her college dorm. Anna has a very positive outlook on her status and looks; she is intelligent and down to earth. She is an omega wolf but is best friends with Dave, a human, and Ella, a smart, sassy wolf.
Annie wolf is wise, and we see an immediate change in her reaction to others, especially Alpha Finn. Her quiet year gets upended fast by the Lycan Alphas' son Lord Finn. Finn and his brother Liam the next Alpha of the Silverlake Pack, are great together. You can feel the brotherly love.
Oh, this book gets surprises as Annie finds her destined mate; you'll never guess who? Omg, she is awkward all of a sudden. It is nice to get both povs and connect with Annie and her wolf and her mate and his wolf. The author adds some suspense with some suspicious things. I wonder where she will go with them. The book gets steamy as Annie and Liam mate. Well, that conflict was resolved fast.
Meeting the parents is everyone's biggest fear, especially for a wolf shifter with a rank gap. But I love the mother of the Lycans. I love that Liam is a protective and caring mate. Of course, this book gets action-packed with some unexpected guests. Surprises are in-store around every page as the author weaves a fantastic story. Annie has some fantastic gifts in this book and a genuinely relatable, friendly personality.
I love the intricacies of this story; however, it is a lot to keep straight as it progresses from one thing to another. The drama seems to unfold and resolve, and a new connected drama occurs. The author surprises us with a justifiable turn of events showcasing how honorable and courageous Annie and Liam are. This book gets very steamy, and there are lots of inside jokes. I liked being so connected to the main characters, their friends, and their families and watching them become more than you could ever imagine.
I love how the author develops this story thru the book from one, to two, to family, to pack, to royalty. This was a fabulous read with a fantastic ending.
If you're looking for a series/book with healthy relationships, non-toxic males, no ex drama. Then this is the one for you. Join Liam and Annie on their journeys as they show you that true love knows no rank and that your rank doesn't determine your worth. I love this book and I definitely recommend it to any and everyone!!
If the eloquent and captivating writing doesn't win you over ,the plot work and impeccable character development surely will. The book is an amazing work of art but I didn't expect any less from the author as all her works are perfectly crafted with great creativity and a very detailed imagination. This is definitely a must read...
An excellent book! I like all Isa’s work! All the characters are perfect together in her stories with great female leads & her books never cease to amaze you.
If you haven’t read this book yet, please do! Along with the rest of the Silverlake series 😉
This was an awesome book to read I liked that it wasn't like the other book out there were the alpha as an ass and treats their mate bad. There was still some drama in it but romance as well.
I love the character Annalise, how much she learns about herself. I love how Liam is different around her than he is in public and his love for his family
This book was the beginning of my love for this author. You would be thrilled from the beginning until the end. So many characters and is a beautiful story that will let you asking for more.
Absolutely fantastic books! You won't be able to put it down. Wonderful characters and a well-developed world they live in. Twists, growth, and loving relationships.
Annie and Liam are just fantastic! Every character Isa writes is amazing! Every book/ chapter/ moment is incredible. One of my favorite writers for sure.
