Dante Jacoby #2

Double Life

The sins of the father shall be visited upon the children...

FROM MILLION COPY BESTSELLER MATT ROGERS
COMES THE THRILLING NEXT CHAPTER IN THE DANTE SAGA

Chasing discomfort in the underbelly of Japan, Dante Jacoby is running from the coward he used to be. A chance encounter with a shopkeeper in Sapporo sets him on a path of destruction through the ranks of the yakuza. Only when he has the chance to stop and draw breath does he receive a distress call from the other side of the world…

Stefani Pilecki didn’t expect trouble in Romania, but when a mysterious assailant stalks her through Bucharest, she falls back on her contingency plan. She paid a major mafia clan for protection, yet she doesn’t trust them to keep her safe. She doesn’t trust anyone in the world besides Dante, especially when she learns that her murderous stalker burns for revenge.

But revenge for what?

The answer lies back in Nepal, buried deep in the murky past of the underground geneticist responsible for Dante’s existence.

What are the sins of Dr. Adam Benoit?

Not A light read

Lots of introspection, lots of self doubt, lots of agonising and that's just Stefani
Dante has all those issues and more.
For me, all of that takes away the flowing of the story, given the other reviews most would disagree, but I found it was action one minute and then lots of psycho babble.
Stefani features more in this story and overall it benefits from it
Hoping book 3 manages to be more adventurous and action based

This series is every bit as good as the King and Slater series though a totally different scenario. In utero physical augmentation and a life that was definitely split into a before knowledge and after.... I will be awaiting each new book in BOTH series! Great job, Mr. Rogers!

pulse pounding

Matt has done it again! Another edge of your seat adrenaline inducing page turner. You wont be able to stop reading once you start. Like Dante won’t stop until he does what needs to be done.

Double Life

Well written with a number of twists. There are many moral points to be learned from this story. I will be waiting for the chapter in Dante Jacoby’s life to see which way the path leads.

This is a contunuation of the series and imagines violence from the genetically engineered Dante with action taking place from such as Japan and a ski resort to Nepal and Romania.

another strong entry

Far removed from the smooth operators of Will or Slater. Years wasted and secrets kept. The journey Dante is on is exciting and will keep you reading well into the night.
Excited to see where Dante goes next in his search for duty - to follow his code.
