A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Journalism, she also has a bachelor's degree in illustration from Savannah College of Art & Design. Nicole is a speaker on writing, art, and faith; she's a painter and has illustrated the covers for her novels. She also taught art for many years at a local private school in the Charleston, South Carolina area, where she lives with her husband and two children. Nicole's latest release, The Cage-maker, is a Southern Gothic historical mystery based on discoveries she made while researching her own family history in New Orleans.

This is the page-turning continuation of Book 1, The Firstborn! Hope you enjoy reading the House of Heaventree series as much as I did writing it! Book 2 coming soon...

It’s holiday time!! With all the trimming of the trees and decking the halls comes the sometimes daunting task of gift giving.
Yes, when teens are involved gift-cards are often the easiest BUT what about pairing the gift of material with the gift of adventure via their imagination?
Seitz’s latest writing journey involves a Young Adult series called House of Haventree (Book 1- the firstborn and Book 2- the virus Book 3 coming out next year).
Enter a world where technology isn’t just an addiction, it’s all-consuming. When strange things start happening Cornelius and his older sister Flare are sent to a secret boarding school (via a hidden passageway and mine cart!) There they meet people who will become their mentors and their friends. Corn, Flare and others at their school are tasked with what seem to be impossible assignments, and yet by way of support, encouragement, and faith, manage to not only complete them but grow in their confidence and faith.
Just when there seems to be a calm- an event, a loss, and a message show up that will further push Corn, Flare and their newfound friends to heights they never thought they were capable of completing but with God in their focus, and friends at their side, they soon learn they can do far more than they ever thought possible.
The series is a perfect gift for anyone, young or old, avid reader or one who hasn’t voluntarily picked up a book in ages. With a blend of adventure, and mystery while seamlessly weaving messages of faith and scripture into the dialogue and plot these novellas are a needed addition to every Christmas list.
