He’s always been a forbidden fantasy…until one touch makes desire come alive.
Silas When did my life become such a cliché? Catching my wife with the pool boy on my thirtieth birthday had me packing my things and moving back to my hometown to lick my wounds. Divorce never factored into my life plan, so where do I go from here? And when did Titus grow from a gawky teen to a hard-and-ripped college man? More importantly, why can’t I seem to keep my eyes off of him?
Titus Growing up, I always looked up to Silas, but when he got married, the distance between us grew into more than age and miles. Now that he’s home—and within arm’s reach—the fantasies that always wore his face are back in full force.
And all it takes is one touch to send us both over the edge…
Note to This book was previously published as Close to Me under the pseudonym Mick Crocker. It has been extensively edited and lengthened. It contains taboo subject matter; sensitive readers be warned.
My first time reading this author and I enjoyed the sweet but hot story. It's well written and edited, with as much plot as you would expect from a short of this nature, and by that I mean the main characters are brothers, and it's squarely in the erotica category.
The tale of Silas and Clay was a surprise because I found it on my list. Brothers becoming lovers is usually not a topic found on the zon. Ethan Stone wrote this story so beautifully that I was disappointed it was over so quickly. Now I'm off to find another book from this talented author.
First off, I don’t have any issues with taboo books in fact that was one of the reasons I wanted to read this book. The story itself was pretty good. I did enjoy the struggle that Silas was having in coming to terms with his feelings for Titus and the fact that he still loved his wife. I completely understood that for their first time, Silas wanted Emilio as a buffer. Silas needing space and time AFTER was frustrating but also understandable. I was even (eventually) okay with the ‘surprise’ as well as the ending.
I gave this book a lower rating because it REALLY needs a good editor. Not just for the grammatical issues (missing words, confusing sentences, etc) but, because SEVERAL times, the author mixed up the characters. I was glad that the author labeled the sections with the character’s names so we knew who was ‘speaking’ which also made it easier to discover when the characters were mixed up.
My last few reads have been quite heavy so I decided a quick, dirty MM fix was in order.
Silas and Titus Clay are brothers. Silas returns to the family home after he finds his wife cheating on him. Titus, the younger brother, had always hero worshipped his big brother, but he also lusts after him.
I got what I asked for. It is a quick, dirty fix; no more than that. I can overlook the editing issues, just.
I applaud anyone for having this genre on ‘zon. So you get an extra star for accessibility!
But the typos, oof. The inconsistencies of what time Emilio is coming over. Throwing Titus on the cabin. Making “dame sure” Silas is sure. Among others.
I didn’t like the casual fat shaming in the beginning. I didn’t like how Titus couldn’t respect a boundary. But you almost got me with the ending. Nicely done there!
This really isn’t a review for the taboo which didn’t bother me at all, but rather all of the editing and spelling mistakes. Just inexcusable…even point of views were incorrect, for example, it’s Titus’ POV and it actually reads where he picks up the phone to call Titus…so he calls himself? This is nothing more than a first draft.
A short and hot tale of where Love is Love, even between brothers. This is an expanded story, and it felt it as the first half flowed well enough. The second half was stilted with wrong names used, and overuse of words. I was able to look past that and enjoy the hotness of the story for what it was.
Obviously it’s a taboo storyline and subject, but I liked it and it was hot. It needs some serious editing. Took me out of the story and the moment when the author would forget which characters POV they were writing and switching the two characters around plus additional errors. But a very hot, taboo, short erotica.
A touchy read for some, I've read a couple of similar tales, it can be tough going. This was good, the two brothers were of different personalities but likeable. My little beef is a couple of confusing errors, the two brothers names mix up in one conversation, and their ages, first they are 5 years apart and then suddenly they are 10 years apart. But that aside a decent angst-filled read.
This had a lovely little story and very spicy in places, but it was really let down by the editing. Unfortunately, the author regularly mixed up the names of the MC's to the point you had to keep re reading sections to try and figure out who was doing who.

I enjoyed this taboo story about two brothers, it was really hot and I would have easily given it a 4 star rating if it had been edited properly. I would be willing to try another book by this author with the hope that more attention would paid to the editing process.
