What happens when Emma, who just wants to be done right, meets Finn, who doesn't know what he's doing?
Emma Leroux has had it with men who have no clue how to satisfy her in the bedroom. As a grown-ass woman, she knows what she wants. What is wrong with men, that she can’t seem to get it as good as she gives? After another lousy encounter, she heads to the bar to let off some steam, only to get approached by another man who doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing. Unfortunately for him, Finn Declan is in the direct line of fire when Emma finally goes off.
Finn may have made his billions as a social media influencer, but Emma could be right about this one. He doesn't know what he’s doing in bed and women have just been using him because of his fame. So he proposes Emma teach him how to finally satisfy a woman. But as she teaches Finn that sex is better when done right, their one-night lesson soon turns into something more than either of them expected.
Tropes: One-night stand, billionaire/celebrity, she teaches him, short and spicy.

This was an adult novella done right! Seriously, Rhianna Burwell had me at this delight:
"I don't know what it is with men who suck at fucking, never being able to take no for an answer. Either get good or get out, buddy."
I loved how confident and in control Emma was about her sex life. She really embodied what I think a lot of us think but never say or do during those bad lays, and it has me questioning why I never did the same!!!
I loved how willing to learn Finn was. His humble attitude and willingness to be honest with his "abilities" I found really sexy and refreshing. Like, I would gladly teach him any day of the week anything he wanted to know.
Finally, I loved that it wasn't a sappy ending and there was no sappy epilogue about how these people got married and had babies years in the future. It started with sex, it ended with a coffee date, and the rest is up to your own imagination. If I choose to believe they went on to have babies and hot-as-sin date nights as a married couple, that's my own business!
Thank you to Rhianna and Booksprout for the chance to review this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
a one night stand novella that was spicy but also incredibly insufferable… emma needed to be humbled real quick and was so annoying I could not focus on anything else
short and spicy novella. it did what it needed to do! i read book 3 before i read this one (book 1) and i did like book 3 better, but knowing how emma and finn got together was also enjoyable. i wish it had been a little more passionate but other than that.. 3.5⭐️
Did I search “spicy novellas” to get a palette cleanser? Yes, yes I did. And did I stumble upon this fun little book? YUP.
Emma has bad luck with men; bad in that they don’t know what the heck they’re doing in bed and she never enjoys it (aka comes). When she meets Finn after a terrible f—k, she is veryyyy intrigued. Finn is a hot, billionaire who is not extremely experienced but is willing to learn. He turns her on with his honestly, and she can tell he is IN IT.
Emma is not willing to put up with a sex partner who can’t deliver pleasure for her too. Unlike many women who just put up with it, she won’t. She will stop her partner when she feels it is going nowhere. They get the chance to do it right, or they stop right then and there. Why should they be happy and leave her unfulfilled?
So when Finn Declan doesn’t perform, she lets him know. But unlike others who would be angry and walk away, he wants to know how he can improve. Can she show him what she wants?
I would not have the brass to hurt someone’s feelings like that. I see the point if you really don’t care. But it just doesn’t feel like the right thing to do unless maybe your partner has made it clear he doesn’t care about you and he’s out for himself. Then he deserves to meet Emma!
this was just a short, spicy novella. honestly just wanted to read something short before diving back into my other current reads and this satisfied me🙂↕️ it was entertaining for sureee
I absolutely love Rihanna’s books! 💛 I’ve been in a super slump and this pulled me right out. A short and spicy novella that I read in one sitting. About the book: Emma is a baddie who doesn’t give a shit which I LOVE. Says things we’ve all been thinking. Finn is usually a character I’d hate because of his lifestyle but his softness and yearning for his girl…babbbyyyyyy 😭 he’s too cute! Loved this and I can’t wait to get the second and third. 🥳
I knew what I was getting myself into when I decided to read the book. I read it to help me get out of my reading slump and it did the job slightly, but left me unsatisfied. I was bored from the beginning it felt like the story dragged on which it did.
This is a erotica novella thats only 89 pages long. WHY DID WE JUST GET INTO THE SPICE ON LIKE PAGE 35! That made it a three star read for me. but the only two spicy scenes we have in this novella was pretty entertaining.
All in all, I would recommend this for a quick read with slight entertainment. I would definitely read more of Rhianna's work because I really like her writing.
I was gifted the third book, signed by the author so I wanted to make sure I read the rest of the novellas! It was quick, spicy novel and I enjoyed it!
