Natasha is the Alpha Queen and has just been summoned to a meeting in Washington DC following a brutal attack by humans on her town, her people and her way of life. The ICS, she presumes, want answers to the way she and other shifter allies pushed back the attack and saved her people, this attracting the attention of non shifters on them.
This novella is a gripping page turner with the betrayal, the love, the will to survive and the ultimate goal to help the shifter population of the world survive. In the limited amount of pages, the author masterfully grabs the reader 's interest with the many twists and turns that take place in the lives of Natasha's pack. The plot is written in a very clever way as to leave the reader with the will to read the rest of the series. 5 Stars all the way.

I haven't read the books before or after this story so although what was in this smapling was fine, it was evident you were missing out on a great deal of the story.

Yet another teaser, this novella is part of a larger book collection called Alpha Queen. Each taste of the Green Mountain pack entices me to binge-read all the books in this series.
