Great series finale, not as good as the last book but still good, however I guessed the twist right off so that took from the plot for me.
It’s still good, great characters and chemistry and very entertaining.

Rushed

While I liked getting to the end of this story and finding out what happened to everyone I have to admit it felt rushed. Being smaller then book one was a choice considering how much sex is in this book and not enough time for the big important plot points. I’ll keep it real I was skimming the sex by the end because I wanted the mafia drama and not the booty. (I’ll admit this is rare for me but what can ya do?) The end of book one set us up for something that could have been intensely epic, and then fumbled the ball. The ball was never fully recovered either.

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: accidental pregnancy
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

This was a really great story that was well written, fast paced, and had tons of twists and turns. Me favorite part is probably the great banter between the two MCs. My least favorite part is that the two books probably could have been edited to one. I'm a huge fan of smexy times, lol, but it kind of felt like it was being used as filler 🤷🏻‍♀️. Overall a great read though, and ill definitely be reading more!

Disappointing

Spoiler Alert!
Can’t believe the way this ended. After so much angst on the heroine’s part about not wanting her child to be around a life of violence, death, and criminal behavior (she even went so far as to get false passports for them to get far away from this); and the hero’s epiphany and decision to finally let go of this lifestyle, they end up running the Bratva! What??! The first book was better than the second, but both had too much gratuitous sex scenes - almost like the author was trying to meet her word quota. I like me some spicy love scenes, but it got to the point of being boring.

Is the story good? Not really. Are the main characters likeable? Not AT ALL. But…I read it anyway. This author has a knack for stretching a story to its absolute limit and making it into two books. And you know what? Get your bag, sis! (I assume you get more $ that way, idk). Anyway, I basically needed something to curb my book hangover after Iron Flame and a pallet cleanser before I start Throne of Glass and this one did it! It will be gone from my memory in a matter of days so hallelujah

The conclusion to this duet doesn’t disappoint. It picks up 2 weeks after the cliffhanger of book one. Dima is still trying to reclaim his Bratva, Arya is still avoiding him and trying to survive with her baby.

This book is action packed, seriously. One hurdle is crossed and a bigger one pops up. Betrayals around every corner. I’m glad I didn’t start this book before bed because I’d have ended reading all night and being sleep deprived. You won’t want to put this down once you start it.

Dima really grows a lot in this book and it’s not an easy journey. For every two steps forward he seems to take at least one step back. I wanted to throat punch him more than once while reading this. I’m so glad he eventually pulled it together but he was really awful at times.

Arya was awesome. Strong, capable and a mama bear not to be messed with. This woman has been through hell and she keeps on going for her son. It’s really beautiful and she deserved the beautiful HEA she got with the much better version of Dima

Story 4/5, Spice 4/5, Darkness 2.5/5, Angst 4/5. Fast burn, action packed all the way through, no cheating, no cliffhanger and an HEA with epilogue.

To summarize…
This book was basically problems stacked on problems stacked on problems stacked on problems stacked on problems

I didn’t hate this book but I didn’t love it either

I just wanted the mcs to have a bit of peace. Is that so much to ask for🫠?
Their poor baby was a tennis ball in a tennis effing match likeee?!

Anyways,,
Arya and Dina sure had their cute moments but it unfortunately didn’t make up for the shitload of conflicts that kept ensuing.

I didn’t like the epilogue as well.

Love this so much. The heroine, Arya, was as equally fierce as Don Dima. This was such a quick read. So much action and suspense. In the previous Nicole Fox books I’ve read, the don was controlling AF. In this series, Don Dima actually loved Arya and gave her freedom.

This is the sequel to the last book I read. I almost didn’t finish but I did lol. It wasn’t my favorite. I was hoping the 2nd book would make up for the first book… Arya and Dima were to busy hooking up instead of looking for their kidnapped baby. 😅

i barely finished this book. it was really traumatic! like a sis went through a lot, a lot ! I skipped the last ≈20-30%. Also, the woman was so annoying, like you said you didn't want your son to be exposed to the dark underbelly of the world, then somehow a mafia king is not that? c'mon. basically, homegirl's decisions were nonsensical. at least this book was on kindle unlimited bc if I had paid for this piece of trash, i'd have been pissed.

This is the second book in the series and they must be read in order. Arya and Dima’s story continues where book one left off. Arya’s secrets are revealed but what will Dima do now that he knows everything? Fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters with intense chemistry and an entertaining story. A good read.

The craziness continued more murder, treachery, kidnappings, falling out and distrust. Everything thrown in, sometimes less is more. The couple's baby was previously kidnapped, that would make you think not even fresh air would get between them and their new born. But no. They fixate on tracking a dead woman's (who they barely knew) mum and daughter, rather than focusing on their baby. And subsequently lead them into all kind of trouble. At best, this was all cobbled together like one of those one pot cooks, that you haphazardly throw whatever ingredients are left in the fridge end of week and hope for the best. Sometimes it's absolutely delicious, other times just meh.. this was definitely the latter and not the former.

Stupid

How many times can you get kidnapped? How many times can your baby get kidnapped? The intimate parts were unrealistic. Who says some of that crap? The writer was trying too hard. A lot of the storyline didn't make sense. This book had so much potential but failed.

This was a DNF. The plot got stupid and not enough smut or relationship building. I was going to keep reading just to finish, but why when I'm not enjoying the storyline? Time is short, on to the next book!

The casino heist was unnecessary but kinda hilarious

Possible Triggers - The Mafia Standards (blood, violence, weapons, murder), dub-con/coercive sex, drugs, overdose, kidnapping, human trafficking, sexual assault

Tl;Dr - Once again, Dima thinks Arya has betrayed him. Why? Because she didn’t tell him every detail of her past (her past is relevant to be fair). Shocker. She runs, he runs after her, they do a casino heist and have car sex. It’s all very sexy and dramatic. Dima still doesn’t have his Bratva back. Someone steals baby Lukas AGAIN. And now, unnecessarily convoluted trials are being used to decide who runs the mob? That was a… plot choice. Bang bang! Stab stab! Kiss kiss! We reach our HEA.

The Characters -
Dima: Bratva Don, baby daddy, and morally gray. He’s got so many trust issues it’s insane, probably from the constant betrayals. Just let this man hang out with his kid, he needs a break.

Arya: Veterinarian, baby mama, and all around bad ass… and formerly involved with the Albanian Mob? She gives major Mama Bear energy. Like, she might just rip someone’s face off with her teeth at some point.

Lukas: Still a baby. This kid has a bright future as a pro kidnapping victim. He’s been stolen so many times omg.

My Thoughts - Ehhhhhhhhh. The first half of this book goes like this…

Dima: I must get my mob back and punish Arya for not telling me (her recently anonymous baby daddy and sorta abductor) very dark detail of her personal history😤

Arya: This is putting out baby in danger so imma dip

Dima: Noooooooooooo. I’m going to put everyone in EVEN MORE DANGER now. Because my feelings are hurt.

Arya: Dima is so hot and sexy and damaged. I simply cannot resist. I’m in.

So, yeah. Wasn’t feeling it. I kept screaming at Arya, “LEAVE HIS ASS AND NEVER LOOK BACK.” She didn’t listen. She kept going back. And when the stupid ass trials were brought into the mix? Still not feeling it. That felt stupid. On top of that nonsense, poor Ernestine and June are dragged into this mess too! I’m not convinced Arya and Dima would survive their HEA. This is a couple that makes each other miserable and find their crumbs of joy in the reconciliation. Not true love.

Maybe my enjoyment of the first book was increased by reading it in the dead of night? I can’t explain it. This feels like such a step down, tone wise and polite wise, from the first book. Still, it had a few decent twists and an exciting conclusion.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
Bad boy….check
Bod boy’s crazy brother/friend…check
Bad boy’s Kryptonie…check ….check and check
This is book is part of the Romanoff Bratva series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through picking up where they left off. Dima trying to find out who betrayed him and how to gain control of his Bratva and of course Arya trying to steer clear of him and his wrath keeping both herself/the baby safe. Basically, Dima takes two steps forward just to be pushed ten steps back and the same goes for Arya (basically neither is no good without the other but haven’t figured it out yet) Dima needed a push in the right direction by push I mean a kick in the you know where because he did some pretty dumb things, made dumb decisions but learned along the way. Arya was a very protective mama bear who would bite your head off, if need be, she has been through so much while being an amazing mama although, she loved his father there was so much growing up on both their parts but more, so Dima needed to grow up. Basically, the two of them had a love /hate relationship even with all the threats he made he knew he couldn’t live without the two of them one was the air he took in (Arya) and the other was the okay to live (his son). So many questions who is behind the betrayal (most betrayals are usually committed by someone close), will he get his thrown back, will he get Arya back, will she forgive him for his stupid actions, will there be a family …can they be a family and is there happiness for them as a family (especially after the betrayal)?

Whew, can this story get any hotter? Apparently the answer is yes because that's what happened in the second part of the Romanoff Bratva duet. Book one of the duet left you with Dima Romanoff pointing a gun at Arya, the mother of his son, and he's telling her she has until the count of ten to get out of his sight or he'd shoot her where she stands. He also tells her to be prepared because he will hunt her until the ends of the earth because she lied this whole time to him. So, that's exactly what she does. She runs. She gets back together with her "adopted" family, Ernestine and June, and they bounce around between cheap motels, trying to stay under the radar from everyone who's after her and her son, Lukas, including his father, Dima. She reaches out to someone she knew when she was with her ex-fiancé, Jorik, aka "the butcher." This person can procure anything on the black market, if you have the right amount of cash. She goes to see him in person and she arranges for him to get her documents to get her, her son and her "adopted" family out of the country and to safety. She's in Atlantic City to arrange for these documents when Dima finds her there using the tracker he's had attached to her. He's there to complete a job for his brother, Ilyasov, which will gain him the army he needs to get his Bratva back. I'll leave you here but let me leave you with this: whenever Dima and Arya are in the same place together then combustible passion ensues, add to that betrayal and heartbreak and you're in for a wild, thrilling ride. I absolutely love this entire duet! It has everything you could ever want in a mafia romance with a gripping storyline and strong characters that you will root for. I highly recommend this book and the first one as well.

The biggest problem with the book is the end. It's the most senseless think I have ever read.it felt like we are in middle of a story and suddenly author decides its too long let's end it.
The things we were fighting for suddenly doesn't matter. They are served on a platter to Dima. He get shot and boom everything is in order, Arya settles everything when he was recovering. Like how???
His men didn't trust him, they betrayed him and took control of bratva but now they are all in line suddenly. Just because it's time for a happy ending to Dima and Arya.
Author needs to think about it. She wants us to believe the Chicago bratva comes under Dima's control just like that??
His brother has no second in command, no one in his bratva feels that they should take the opportunity and become the head. No they all just pledge their loyalty to dima when he is practically dying🙄🙄🙄
Let's come to the next point, Lukas is only there to get kidnapped or being taken, used as a bait. Otherwise he is practically nonexistent. Dima didn't hold his child with love even once in the two books!!!!
And another thing that bothered me is, they are always having sex, a little smut does help the story but it's like it's there just to increase the pages. They are fucking senseless, doesn't matter the situation.
I won't recommend this book to anyone and it was a bad decision, I have had some of my best reads from this author so I tried this but it turned out to be disastrous. I would recommend 'Gilded Cage' or 'Shattered Altar' if you are looking for good books by the author.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Immaculate Corruption by Nicole Fox is book 2 in the Romanoff Bravata series. It picks up 2 weeks after book 1 ends. This story is intense with twists and turns. Dima is the antihero of the book. I have been going back and forth as to whether I liked him or not. He can be very unlikeable. Ayra is the heroine but again I am not sure how likeable she is. She across as very strong but then very weak. She isn't afraid to stand up to Dima and he treats her horribly. She takes his treatment. I wanted her to say no to him but she didn't.

The couple has hot chemistry and deserve each other. I just don't know if I would say they are likeable. But then I guess we all have multiple personalities and are not always making perfect choices. The plot is full of twists and surprises. Just when I thought I knew where the story was going, it changed directions. It kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat. This story is a dark story with broken people striving to do what is best for themselves and their family. You can not help but take up their side in the war being waged in the story. You must read both books in order for the story to make sense. It is time worth while. Great crafted stories by Nicole Fox.

What an ending! This was a fantastic story and an exciting conclusion to Dima and Arya's story. This whole book was a nail biting roller-coaster. The action just kept coming and coming. One crazy twist after another. Dima and Arya's love was definitely put to the test and it was a blast reading about it! What I really appreciate about Nicole Fox's books is how she represents the supporting characters, they are such a strong part of the story and it adds a multidimensional feel to the books. You fall in love with them as much as you do the main characters. I really liked how Arya stepped up and did what needed to be done, she didn't shy away from Dima and was willing to be the protective mama bear. I really felt bad for Dima, he was a bit like a lost soul though out the story. He tried so hard but things just wouldn't go his way. There were some major surprises and the whole story was highly entertaining. It had humor and suspense with plenty of heat. You will need to have read the first book, Immaculate Deception to know what's going on here as this is the conclusion to the story. I highly recommend not only Immaculate Corruption but any of Nicole Fox's books. She is a master story teller!

ARC received from Booksprout and author in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced in any way.

Please make sure to read Book 1 - Immaculate Deception first !!

If you are a fan of mafia romance Nicole Fox is definitely one of my “go to “ author’s - she never disappoints. This book / duo is no exception !

What I loved :

Cover is a great visual of Arya
Storyline with lots of great plot twists
Unexpected humor - some dialog you just want to laugh out loud
Great main characters in Arya and Dima
So many great secondary characters like Ernestine , Rosie , June & Gen ( just to name a few )
Sizzling chemistry
HEA - with not one but two epilogues

This book picks up immediately after Book 1 with Arya on the run however Dima comes to her rescue so many times - the attraction between these two is incredible as they search for their missing son. Dima has to come to terms with whether he wants to pursue his life as a hardened Bratva Dom or give everything up potentially for his family. Such a difficult choice for him but thru everything his love for Arya wins.

Great read - great series - great author !

Immaculate Corruption is the second final installment of Nicole Fox’s Romanoff Bratva. In the first book readers witnessed the backstory of Arya George’s life and family history. They also witnessed the events that led to a coup from within Dima’s bratva to overthrow his leadership. Readers also witnessed the strained relationship between the two Romanoff brothers--Ilyasova and Dima. With the murder of their father, Dima was given the role of don. Leaving his older brother without any involvement in the family bratva and creating a cavernous rift between the brothers. Ilyasova ends up in Chicago and builds his own bratva. Dima and Arya’s love for each other continues being tested. Can Ilyasova and Dima mend that rift? Will Dima and Arya finally find happiness?

I appreciate Ms. Fox’s skill in developing her dual-prong plot. The first plot is one of revenge and betrayal of Dima. The second prong is the ongoing romantic journey of Dima and Arya. Like in the first book, Ms. Fox uses flash backs to reveal the hidden demons of Arya and Dima and how they deal with them. Likewise, I liked how she uses dialog and a dual point of view to build tension. Her descriptive language creates vivid scenes. Her incorporation of unexpected plot twists keeps readers on their toes. In this two-book series, readers find subterfuge, guilt, betrayal, and revenge.

Immaculate Corruption is the jaw-dropping sequel to and the conclusion to the Romanoff Bratva Duet. It is raw, twisted and dark. The story picks up two weeks after the epic cliffhanger where all Arya secrets was revealed and Dima told her to run because he was going to put a bullet in her head. Arya and her baby Lukas has been running and watching her back with nonstop with no one to trust. Dima is still trying to reclaim his Bratva after killing the butcher for his brother so that he can get his army. Dima hates Arya and loves her at the same time. Although she betrayed his trust he was only fooling himself that he can be without her.
Immaculate Corruption was beautifully crafted with talented characters and great storyline. It was fast paced with surprising twists and turns, secrets, blackmail, anger, deception, bloodshed, passion, betrayal, lust, enemies, attacks, retaliation, rivalry, revenge, trust issues, revelation, loyalty, retribution, kidnapping, and love. The chemistry between Arya and Dima was all consuming. This series was utterly addictive.

This is the conclusion to the Romanoff Bratva duet story. The last book finished with a cliffhanger and this book started 2 weeks after the cliffhanger. The story is about Dima and Arya. Dima is still trying to reclaim his Bratva, Arya is still avoiding him and trying to survive with her baby. The story is fast paced as you’d expect and we experience lots of action as well as the unexpected at every corner. Dima shows personal growth but his journey is not an easy one. He is the perfect example of 2 steps forward, 10 steps back but he’s determined. His failure to ‘get it’ was frustrating at times and there were times his actions were completely deplorable. On the other hand, Arya was an amazing woman - strong, independent and so protective of her baby that it was a pleasure to read about her. Her story was lovely and I was glad Dima finally stopped acting like a depraved idiot as Arya had been through more then her share.

I'm not gone lie I thought she was going to end up pregnant again before the Epilogue. I will say that the Epilogue did not disappoint in my opinion. I think how this book picks off from the last one wasn't as smooth but it still flowed. Like he told her to run and he basically didn't want to see her but when he saw her he was still mad but acted as if it was insignificant. Lukas, that poor baby, was put the wringer all before he was even 6 months old. I felt bad for Vera but that is what you get ----- Karma's a B*tch.

If you love this book, you should read Corrupted Empire, Corrupted Angel, and Corrupted Queen. Honestly, you should read any Nicole Fox's books.

This is an epic conclusion to these amazing characters and the strength that they bring to each other and their families. This is a powerful conclusion and you will be rocked by all the moving parts. There is so much betrayal, lies, secrets, and violence that this Dark Mafia Romance is going to knock you for a loop. However, finalizing Dima & Arya's story is so worth it. These two have been through so much and there is till danger lurking around every corner for them and their families. It is hard to know who to trust and who is going to betray them more than anything. Dima is struggling with his choices and he wants Arya more than his next breathe but he doesn't know how to keep her and the life he has always known. There is some power struggle within the Bratva and their enemies and if they are not careful they all could get burned. You will thoroughly enjoy their journey and all the amazing events that occur along the way. This is another amazing Bratva series by Nicole Fox. Happy Reading!

I could never really tell who was going to win. Would she really walk away for normal? Would he go with her? Or would she stay and deal with the bullshit, be his queen?

I had a feeling about his brother in the first book, and when nothing came of it, I was like eh oh well. But I shouldn't of counted him out. UGH. That's why Vera was sent though to make sure the FMC knew what the MMC was doing, to cause discord cause the brother knew the MMC would do it without her knowing. I was glad when he chose Vera. But come to find out, the brother only cared for the babes. (none of which was a boy) and not his wife lmao. Too funny.

The story, although hard to read when the babe was stolen, was really damn good. Freaking loved the adrenaline and my heart pounding making me excited when shit went down. As always, a damn good read.

Taking a break from Nicole's stories for a night. But will continue after hahaha.
