PRIDE: A 7 DEADLY SINS STORY

Rate this book
Isaiah 2:12
12 The LORD Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted. And they will be humbled.

Spring break has ended but the drama is just beginning with Bria, Bryshere, and Blessen.

After being sold, for one night only, to millionaire Blessen Harris, 20-year-old college student Bria Malone is intrigued by the way a more experienced man treats her. But with her heart still yearning for Bryshere, she is determined to just get the money and leave her feelings out of the equation.

In a turn of traumatic events, Bria's world is flipped upside down. A one-night arrangement abruptly turns into a summer love affair that gives her the healing she needs. That's until she discovers the real reason Blessen is keeping her around.
Losing the love of his life to a millionaire, Bryshere Durden makes a power move that he is sure will make him as rich as the man he lost her to. Willing to fight for what's his, Bry is willing to do anything to get Bria back – even if he must scheme his way back into her heart.

That's until he stumbles upon the beautiful Dr. Desseryn Pruitt. Falling hard for her, Bria becomes a distant memory. But what Bryshere doesn’t know, is that "The good Doctor" has skeletons that are too big for one closet. In fact, they're buried closer than he knows.

In this heart racing spinoff, you will witness how Pride causes these unforgettable characters to overestimate themselves yet underestimate their opponent. It’s impossible for love and ego to occupy the same space. Will Bryshere let one of the most dangerous 7 deadly sins cause him to lose the best thing that has ever happened to him? Find out in this jaw dropping standalone, A 7 Deadly Sins Story.

Good Read

I don't think I would have chose either one of them, especially Bryshere. The way he let his pride get in the way was selfish. Bria did the unthinkable for him and what did he do? Call her names, disrespected and abandoned her. He would have gotten 0 chances after that crap. He also should have gave her half the money since she was the one that worked for it. I liked Blessen but I believe all he really saw when he looked at Bria is his deceased wife Sabrina whom I believe was Bria's older sister. He was also very controlling. Dr. Pruitt otta be ashamed of her trifling self. Knowing her she probably did something to Mrs. Hattie on purpose. Honcho got exactly what his evil azz deserved. This was a really good read.💘💘

It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. Sorry Journey died but I feel if Bria would've answer her calls she would've known something was wrong. I still don't like Blessen. Bry sold his soul to the devil and but he got it together in the end. Huncho deserved his karma. What type of ending was that, I really did not want the book to in the way that it did!

Maybe 2.5 stars

There were some good plot twists in this story. I didn't read the prequel and don't see the need to at this point. Some of this story seems unbelievable, like how fast Bryshere built his company given the amount of funds he had. And how people who barely survived from day to day knew and wore those designer labels. Bria should have chosen herself considering what Bryshere and Blessen took her through, so that ending was a no go for me.

Loved it

This book was off the chain. Bria and her friend Jorney sure went through a lot. It is sad that Bria lost her vest friend Journey to someone she was involved with. Blessen was something else. I am happy that Bria went back to Bry. They are definitely soulmates. Great Read!

Whoa!

There was a lot going on in the book. I loved every bit of it until the end. I guess I can't really blame Bria though. Who wants to be with a man that knows their every move? And, to know that she was messing with her sister's ex-husband had to be a lot. Then again, Bryshere messed with her mother. Oh well, I guess history won the battle.

Wow

Such a world wind of a tale. Thus story took me on so many different Journeys. WOW BRIA, she was happy, sad, confused and angry on so many different levels, that I felt each emotion with her. I must admit through I really loved me some Blessen. This is definitely a must read However you must read the first book to really understand what's happening and going on.

Not the movie

Well, I could tell you this part two had nothing to do with the movie at all. He did a 360 on us. When I tell you every chapter just got messier and ending just didn’t know what was gonna happen so if you made it to iview stop reading them and grab the book or click the tablet or phone that you read it on and enjoy.

WHAT A WHIRLWIND

I never saw any of this coming and I have to admit I absolutely loved it! There was nonstop suspense and I can’t believe that the ending low key made me happy! Girl fire that pen up again! I need more!!!

Better than the first part

I would have left both she needed to live. The rich one still could love her and unless Honcho was dead the old boyfriend life was going to end. This ended not quite as I wanted but it was good.

Wow! It’s giving … Oh what a tangle web we weave, when we practice to deceive! This book was messy, messy, messy, with six degrees of separation! If you haven’t read part 1 (Spring Break in Savannah with a Gangsta) go read it! Both books are a bomb 10 outta 10!

What would you do if your boyfriend told you that he accepted money in exchange for one night with you???

I was not ready for the toxicity that was in this book but again I’m here for it lol. I wasn’t expecting the twists and turns but I’m glad there was a happy ending.
