Rex Deus is an account of a modern Grail quest with all the accouterments of mystery, cryptically coded documents and tales of secret societies, Freemasonry, persecution and genocide. All the threads in the quest lead to Rennes-le-Chateau, a French hilltop village with a turbulent history long associated with religious and political intrigue, secrets and stories of buried treasure. Many claims have been made about its secrets, but the true mystery is the most unlikely claim of all -- the existence of a group of families descended from the twenty-four high priests of the Temple in Jerusalem.
The Rex Deus story is the first full examination of this shadowy dynasty, who have repeatedly conspired together to alter the course of history, and the key role it played in the succession of the House of David to the throne of Jerusalem after the first Crusade. It reveals the real influence of this tradition on the development of European culture and the American Constitution and it shows how the true teachings of Jesus Christ have been kept in trust for our benefit in the troubled times that mark the beginning of the third millennium.
An amazing, eye-opening book, not for the close-minded! Among the other ideas posited, this book shows that Jesus was indeed married, for someone of his position and status NOT to be married would have been noteworthy and cause for mention in the scriptures. "It was not only Paul who would have been under pressure to marry because of the Law of Moses. ALL MALE JEWS WHO WERE CAPABLE OF EARNING THEIR LIVING WOULD HAVE BEEN BOUND BY THE SAME LAW AND TRADITION, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO HELD THE POSITION OF RABBI OR RELIGIOUS TEACHER" (capitals mine). And the story of the marriage at Cana was based on the marriage of Jesus, because in those days, "under Jewish custom, the only person with the authority to give orders to the servants at a wedding feast was the bridegroom or his mother" and scripture has his mother telling the servants to "do whatever he sayeth." Another interesting thought is that if the Shroud of Turin is indeed authentic, it proves that Jesus survived the crucifixion since dead bodies do not continue to bleed, which the figure in the shroud does. Also, the shroud shows that the body was not washed, a clear violation of Jewish law about preparing bodies for burial, but was instead had been anointed with copious quantities of healing ointments, indicating that was for healing and pain relief. And the sword in the side was not to kill, but to relieve the accumulation of fluid in the pleural cavity to prevent asphyxiation . All absolutely fascinating and thought-provoking. Especially good is the sections showing how "St." Paul hijacked the teachings of Jesus and turned it into an entirely different entity. This book is extensively footnoted and documented, so one can check the material for oneself if desired. By the way, REX DEUS refers to the bloodline of Jesus and Mary of Bethany (Mary Magdalene) which is still in existence today.
Per chi vuole approfondire la verità celata sotto i vari ordini cavallereschi nella storia e i misteri alla base della massoneria. Il tutto legato all'ipotesi della discendenza di Cristo.
The authors cover the subject of modern grail hunting Rennes le Chateau en the Cathars so widely that there is a lack of depth. An amazing amount of subjects are just touched and let go. Its a book for beginners and not for the specialists.
