Writing is a beautiful thing.

I consider myself blessed I'm able to do this for a living. I live for fantasy books as a reader and author. I adore books like An Ember in the Ashes, The Night Angel Trilogy, Harry Potter, The Great Library series...I could go on.

Before I write I have four young humans I keep alive and love them to the stars and back again. I live in Utah with my sexy husband, the kiddos, two paranoid dogs, and a sinister cat. Between finishing a second degree, running a business, and eating too much chocolate, I love writing early in the morning when no one is awake. If you can't tell, I basically function on caffeine.

Amazing!

**speaking of the series as a whole**
This is my favorite series! You get sucked into this world with these amazing characters and you can't help but feel like you are in the adventure with them. You bleed with them, break with them and love with them. LJ is a powerful storyteller and I have loved every minute of temporary freedom from reality that these books have given me.

Absolutely love this series it has become one of my all time favourites. A great blend of fantasy and romance, the characters have a morally grey aspect to them which is both realistic in terms of the time period it's based on and delicious enough on the romance side of things to have me squealing and kicking my feet. It's not all spice though there is a good plot with stakes that feel real and urgent. The romance is a central point however it still comes second to the plot in my opinion. The over reaching story has intricate curses and a connected prophecy that reaches across all 9 books in the series. Super sweet found family trope throughout as well. Highly recommend for a fun viking read.

LJ just writes the most beautiful stories!! The characters are fierce and broken and morally grey! I love each and every one of them!! (Although I think Kase is still my fav!) The way they inspire loyalty and have your back no matter what is so cool! The FMC are sassy and strong on their own with their MMC supporting them every step of the way!! I love seeing that dynamic in books!!

The whole series will suck you in and not let you go!! I'm lucky I found LJ when she released Curse of Shadow and Thorns!!! I will literally read anything she writes!! I can't recommend her books more! They're perfect for those that love romantasy with morally grey characters and strong FMC!!!

I’m locked into this beautiful story.

I started this without knowing anything of the story. And I have been amazed t how much my heart has embraced these characters and the story line. Strong FMC’s, heroic MMC’s, strength, love and fierce loyalty to their mates. I am in awe of where this story is headed and. Ant wait to read the next books.

this whole series is very good lots of twists and good world building. highly recommend :)
I felt book 5 dragged on a bit but depending on how you feel about the main characters of books 4-6 you might like it.
