It's a great introductory book, but if you have no prior knowledge of accounts it's going to be a bit hard because it goes beyond the basics and it covers a significant amount of material.

From the basics of accounts to more advanced financial ratios and how to read financial statements, it covers many areas it does not assume prior knowledge and it explains everything in a very easy to read manner. So you don't need to have an idea but because all the material it covers it certainly makes it easier if you have already study or read accountancy.

Very good for getting an idea of what goes beyond the bookkeeping, or if you want a refresh your knowledge of accounts, or if you want a good book to learn more about accountancy.

It's the UK version and I'd say 90% to 95% applies without any changes to Ireland.

Excellent, very informative and very easy to read.

This reads more like an accounting textbook than a for-Dummies book... And I'm a dummy.

Clearly written by two separate people... one significantly better at writing a book like this than the other! Some was very good, some brutality dull and needlessly complicated. Still well worth it for business (if you can make it through!)
