Exterminatrix

Rate this book
A steamy monster romance short novella perfect for lovers of Kassandra Cross, Vera Valentine, and Chuck Tingle.

Castro made a mistake he can’t take back.

And now he’s hiding in the shadows, waiting for his fate to find him.

A fate named Layla.

After her storied career of demon hunting lurched to a painful halt, Layla finds herself fresh in a new job as a monster exterminator. Sent to kill Castro, the Lizardman lurking in a farmhouse basement, what she encounters is a monster who isn’t so monstrous after all. In fact, Layla finds herself inexplicably drawn to Castro’s expanse of scaled muscle and his golden, reptilian eyes, and more than anything to his loneliness… his inexperience.

A few hours of passion may be enough to convince Castro that he’s found his mate. But will it be enough to convince Layla not to kill him?

I wrote a monster smut novella starring a Twitter troll and I gave him two dicks. Of course I’m giving myself 5 stars.

I watched the reason Brynne Weaver wrote this book happen on Twitter, and I'm glad she also included that at the start so that everyone else who wasn't there knows how all of this came about.

I knew it would be funny, and it was. I wish it was a bit longer though, because I felt like I just opened it and then BAM the end. I'm looking forward to reading more of her books though.

Wanted: more trolls to fuel Brynne Weaver’s fire.

I need an entire anthology of these.

How this novella came to life is important. If you’ve ever had the chance to chat with Brynne, you know she is open and friendly, hilarious and supportive. So when someone attacked her on a personal level (not her writing skills/style or her books) Brynne did the most Brynne thing she could do. She made him the namesake of main character in this novella. And she gave him an extra appendage…and he’s also a Lizardman.

Okay, she put the troll into monster romance. Castro called her trash and she said "that’s Queen of Trash to you, mother fucker” and then she fed all of her lil trash goblins (that’d be me) this tasty, tasty monster treat.

I would like to compare this to Chuck Tingle but it felt better. More developed and fleshed (heh) out. Even being short in length, we still got story with our spice. How the entire plot wasn't Layla sitting on Castro's face the entire time and calling it her throne is a testament to Brynne's ability to write a good story. There is plot. There is spice. There is a sweet Lizardman bowing
before a glorious badass lady. Yes, Twitter guy. Women want this.

It’s sweet and dirty with just the right amount of humor thrown in the mix.

Go read this fantastic novella about Lizardman Castro (who is 1000x better than Twitter troll Castro).

For someone to come at an author on a personal level—wooo. I’m glad Brynne stood her ground and owned the hell out of it. Read the intro. Brynne makes her love for the genre known. She has clearly defined rules for herself on who is allowed to become one of her creatures. She took an attack and refused to let it stop her. All hail a strong fucking woman.

It feels like a bad thing to beckon more assholes to come out of the woodworks but I want more of these stories.

4 stars to Castro the virgin Lizardman 🧡

I saw Brynne’s 2 year publishing anniversary post on instagram, and I just had to see what this was.

He has two… 🦎🍆 🫣

Brynne Weaver, the amazing woman she is, wrote this book based on one of her trolls (an unapologetically homophobic and misogynistic man) who was also leaving hateful comments on other social media users' posts.

She said and I quote “That fucker was FAIR GAME.”

She told him that she was determined to give him both the character and the dick(s) he always dreamed of but never had.

To (but not ‘for’) ‘Castro’: I told you this was happening. If you need help recovering from being bested by a vagina, just mash the keyboard with your sticky incel fingers and I’m sure one of your two followers will come to your aid eventually.

My new motto WWBWD ~ What Would Brynne Weaver Do? 🤭🫶🏻💗

Dual POV
No ow/om drama
No cheating/sharing
Virgin H (24)
Open door spice
Epilogue (new/upcoming? character’s pov)
HEA (more like HFN)

Most of my rating is for Brynne given the story was barely 50 pages.

“I’ve chosen my mate. Layla the Exterminator is my female. I would lay down my life for hers. I would follow her to the ends of the Earth. She is my queen, my master, and I will worship her, unworthy of her care and attention but grateful for it all the same.”

The FMC is definitely the more dominant one in the relationship, and I’m here for it.

“Are you…kidnapping me?”
“Damn straight I am,” I say as I stomp to the driver’s side of the van. “And you’re going to play all Stockholm Syndrome and we’re going to have super hot, Shirley Temple-flavored kidnap sex games, so get in the fucking van.”

Lizard overlords coming for us all? Not on Layla's watch.

A certain Lizardman named Castro coming for her on the other hand...

This was so unserious and so, so fun for a monster romp; and it throws a couple common tropes on their head while it's at it. Former demon hunter and current monster exterminator human Layla has been tasked to eliminate a Lizardman hiding in a local couple's cellar/basement. Without proper paperwork or a good reason to be there, Castro the Lizardman knows his life is soon to be over... but maybe this is his last chance to have a meaningful encounter with a human, a species he's always been secretly attracted to.

To Castro's surprise, it takes Layla little to no convincing to stay his execution and explore a more intimate route with him. There dynamics play off each other in a role reversal, with Castro, the MMC, being the more inexperienced and submissive partner (still with a dirty mouth, don't worry), and Layla, the FMC, being the more dominant and take charge of the two.

Their connection was strong in the short span on the story, and I loved how it ended, with such happy expectations for what is to come for the couple.

A fun, quick read for any monster lovers out there!

A total 180 from the usual fantastical work we know of Brynne, but still just as amazing and so much spicier! I couldn't put this book down it was so good! There were definitely moments where I was sweating through it, the passion between these two was so hot.

Definitely a good spooky read!!

This was a short, steamy monster (and very different) novella. Castro is just sweet but also has a dirty mouth. I really love this cover too!

Short and very smutty monster novella where a virgin lizardman meets his dominant match in the exterminator, Layla. There's a surprise in the epilogue :)

What did I just read? I don’t know how to review this book so I’m sticking to dot points:

- A neck pouch with a “secondary penis” in it?

- He’s chosen her as a mate. Everything not exactly human needs a mate apparently.

- A knot on his “primary penis??” Do lizards have that? I don’t want to know.

- Weirdly romantic, was not expecting it and I don’t like it.

- I think they should’ve aggressively fucked and then she actually exterminates him, that would’ve been a surprise ending and much more fun to read.

- Not any actual domination featured in a book named after a cross between “extermination” and “dominatrix.”

- The place they escape to is called Tingletown. It’s just a stupid name.

- The epilogue is from the point of view of a limp horned unicorn whose horn starts getting hard when he sees Layla and Castro (the main characters), his mating song also starts playing and apparently sounds like a music box.

I love the “Ruinous Love” series by Brynne Weaver and was curious about how she’d write something much shorter and different from her usual serial killer romance, I don’t know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn’t this.

OMGG!!!! This book was just too freaking cute, but also at the same time nasty AF!!!! 😏🤣🥵 Castro was the ultimate cinnamon role honestly, I just wanted to give him a hug!!! I'm actually a bit sad this was just a novella because i most definitely would sit through a whole length paged book on Layla and Castro 😫🤣🤣.

Also the epilogue was hilarious and I NEED to read Gumdrops book!! Because I know it'll be nothing my brain will with come up with I can tell you that 🤣.

Brynne is just so freaking creative and manages to shock me with every bluddy book she writes. Like have you ever actually heard of monster with a 🍆 in his neck😌. No you haven't have you???🤣 exactly and when I tell you scene in which said 🍆 was used was 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵!!!! So do me favor and read it😏😌 trust me you won't regret it!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Y’all already know, anything and everything Brynne writes I will read. But Brynne’s Monster Smut Era? I’m very much here for it.

I love that this is how Brynne decided that this is how she handles trolls. I watched this happen on Twitter, but I love that she included it in the Foreword.

This is a Lizardman cinnamon roll, and a female monster hunter/exterminator. Their dynamic is perfect. I can’t wait to read more of their adventures. THE EPILOGUE. I have a feeling that Gumdrop might be my favorite character.

This is a super short, funny, smutty read. Had a great time. Wish it was longer.

This book had me CACKLING! From the foreword before it even starts. I freaking love Brynne Weaver she seriously has the best sense of humor.

The chin dick made me do a double take because what do you mean???? And since when do lizard people have knots? I don’t care if it makes sense, I loved it.

Perfect Novella. A little world building, a little bit of plot and LOTS of delicious smut! Shirley temples anyone?

I NEED the story to continue with gumdrop the limp unicorn! Please? I will beg if I have to.

Well that was interesting and well written. A lizard man hiding in a basement from a human female exterminator. Most of this very short novella is filled with erotic sex scenes after insta lust, but I liked the author's idea of an earth that includes monsters, butterfly people, lizard people, demons etc. I'm checking out Brynne's back list now, as there are several dark romances included.

I am beginning to love all things Brynne Weaver, and this one did not disappoint. While it was the most “what the fuck did I actually just read?“ book I’ve ever come across, I actually kind of loved it. This book was written out of spite and anger, but it doesn’t read that way. It is the epic reaction to an online troll that only Brynne Weaver could ever do!

Ermmm, storyline not for me I have to say. I read this because I love the writer. She wrote this little novella as revenge on an internet troll so it was very tongue in cheek. I respect her revenge and thought it was funny. I liked the way she wasn’t shy about the reasons she wrote it! I’m glad I read it if only to know my spice limitations. Monster smut is apparently where I draw the line…

Shirley Temple flavored C*m

Who knew lizardman porn would be on my 2024 list but here we are! As soon as I saw that Brynne wrote it, I had to read and OMG. Castro and Layla are so fun and spicy. I loved this dynamic especially Layla being the femdom she is!

I read the reason why this was written and had to read it.

Also this was an introduction to monster smut and of course it had to be a Lizardman. Anyone who knows me…knows I am terrified of lizards.
However, I enjoyed the ride and love the author.

Easiest 5 ✭ I’ve ever given. What a blast to read omg 😆. The amount of demonic chuckles that left my body while reading this could not be measured. 🤌🏽

My favorite parts were the neck peen and the fact they left a blanket with a gallon of monster… “surprise” on it for the homeowners.
