She's mine.

She's a bartender at the bar I just so happen to frequent and I've slept with everyone but her to try and get my mind straight, but it never works though. She's the comparison no one can measure up against.

I've done my best to tame the beast within and keep a distance between us but now she has a stalker and she needs me to save her...and I will.

Disappointed

I was really enjoying the suspense of this book and the beginnings of a new romance.

And it ended on a cliff hanger. No #2 shown and when searching her site - nothing!!

Jax: Untamed is the first installment in The Charleston Shore Billionaires trilogy series by Heather C. Adams. This five star dark romance novella is brimming with a delicious billionaire, an innocent heroine, undeniable chemistry, angst, and yummy steam. This book is SO good and readers will be salivating for more with the cliffhanger ending. All I know is that I need the next two books pronto!!!

Jax Astor is a tall, handsome, muscular, and wealthy 21-year-old with the entire world at his fingertips. His life is dangerous and thrilling as he works with his two brothers and father in criminal business dealings. His closest friend and confidant, Danny, has become like a brother to him even though he was hired on to make criminal runs for the family. Jax meets Danny’s younger sister and is speechless at her beauty. He wants this pure innocent angel so badly. Jax may often find himself entangled with different women, but he always imagines the same porcelain skinned redheaded beauty every time. He will honor a vow to stay away from her but certainly won’t ever stop watching or wanting her… from afar.

Chalene Colbert is a beautiful 17-year-old girl in her junior year of Cane Bay High School. Her mother passed away many years ago and her drunken father is a deadbeat. The only positive part of her life is her relationship with her brother Danny. They protect each other and have big plans to leave behind their trashy trailer and move far away on their own. One fateful night, Chalene’s father escalates while on a bender and attempts to hurt her. Luckily, Danny and Jax arrived just in time to obliterate the monster. Jax offers his house as a respite for the siblings to get on their own feet. Chalene has always had a crush on Jax ever since she met him but cannot imagine him ever being attracted to her. She is young, fit, and beautiful but certainly is not dripping in wealth or designer clothes like the girls she spots Jax cozying up to.

Tragedy strikes and two years pass by. Chalene dropped out of her senior year in high school but is making ends meet in a successful club with a bartending gig. Life has been hard, but things are finally looking up, until a tinder date gone wrong won’t leave her alone. Jax intervenes (remember, he never stops watching her) and rescues her once again. Except he too is a stalker. He just doesn’t have nefarious intentions and only wants to protect Chalene. So much so, that he locks her in his fortress of a house until he can 100% determine whether the tinder date is responsible for the stalking or if it’s a business problem. Jax always has to be on high alert, especially since getting involved with the Compano family, and can’t risk letting Chalene out of his sights.

Jax is so swoon-worthy. A bad boy that wants to protect his one true love from danger (including himself). The sexual tension. The angst. OH MY GOSH. It just had me on edge and when they finally connected it was magical. I was squealing in delight! The cliffhanger was brutal, but luckily the next books will be releasing soon!

This is the first book in The Charleston Shore Billionaires series (let me say this now I HATE CLIFFHANGERS) okay now that I feel better for getting that out let’s continue Jax sexy as all get out billionaire who usually gets who/what he wants when he wants them, knows that there isn’t anything money can’t buy and working with his father, two brothers in not all things legal has a way of making feel you can do or have anything or anyone you want. He and his best friend Danny who is like a brother to him although he was hired to make runs for the family one evening he meets his younger sister knowing she is off limits but when has that ever stopped him needless to say he was struck with her beauty, her innocence but his reputation proceeds him of sleeping with any women that wears a skirt and agree to stay away from her comes with a condition but that doesn’t mean he can’t watch, protect her basically stalking her in the name of keeping her safe. Charlene intelligent, a junior in high school she knows pain when her mother passed away, having a father who really didn’t deserve the tittle and so her brother stepped in loving her, ensuring she safe, they make plans to leave the trailer park they live in but when her father tries to hurt her in one of his drunken rages only to be stopped by her brother and his best friend and offering to allow them to stay with him until they can get on their feet. Now the attraction has always been there from the time she knows what a crush is it was on Jax although she says nothing makes sure her feelings are in check whenever they are around each other but now that they are going to be staying with him making it harder to keep everything in check especially knowing he wouldn’t or couldn’t want her they are from two different worlds. Fast forward and Charlene now works in the bar to make ends meet life hasn’t gotten any easier in fact it has gotten a lot harder trying out tinder only to have it backfire because it was a creep who wouldn’t take no for an answer until Jax steps in saving her again going as far and locking her in his home if it can be called that but who is really stalking her, is it the tinder date, is it an enemy of their family, can he keep her safe, and where are these two headed?.

Jax first sees Chalene when he is working with her brother, althoigh she doesn't see him. After his first sight of her he becomes obsessed with thoughts of her. Chalene first meets Jax when her brother introduces them. Events happen and Chalene and her brother end up staying with Jax. As the story continues tragedy strikes, more stalking of Chalene, a hot, steamy scene and a cliffhanger! This story contains some violence and action, not a huge amount but some. There is also some content that some may find triggering such as attempted rape and kidnapping. The chemistry between Jax and Chalene is pretty intense and when they finally end up together it's hot. The story isn't them in bed non stop there is more content so we get to know the characters more. The story has suspense through half of it, who's after Chalene, what's going to happen with possible enemies of Jax's. I didn't think this was a very light and cheery story, but it's also not totally dark. There wasn't any humor to speak of, so if you are looking for an uplifting book this isn't it. Jax is pretty intense about his feelings toward Chalene and that's something I like in my hero. The book ends with a cliffhanger so we have to wait to see if anyone gets a happily ever after.

Jax and his brothers Reeves and Preston work with their father in the Mafia. Danny is one of the runners for Jax and they have become friends. Jax wants Danny's sister Chalene but knows she deserves better.

Chalene Colbert lives in a trailer park with her brother Danny and her dad. She is working at a diner while Danny works at the golf course because they want to save enough money to get away from their dad. They both want a better life.

One night Chalene's dad tries to rape her. Danny and Jax arrive at the trailer just in time.

What happens when Jax insists they stay at his house? Can Jax keep Danny and Chalene safe? Can Jax push away his romantic feelings for Chalene?

Very exciting and fast paced book. Was shocked at the end.

This is the 1st in a new series and is Jax and Charlene’s story. Jax is a sexy billionaire, who is used to getting what he wants whenever he wants it, that is until he meets Charlene. Charlene is the younger sister of Jax’s friend, and from the moment he sees her he is enthralled. Charlene needs money for nursing school and starts working as a bartender. The chemistry between these two is intense, and they complement each other. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty, and intriguing, with family, friendships, angst, tragedy, emotions, twists, and is a steamy and addictive page turner.

Jax &Firefly finally

Good character development. Story flows making it easy to read. The story is about Jax, Danny and Chalene. Danny and Chalene are brother and sister. Jax calls Chalene Firefly. Jax starts out as Danny's boss. Danny and Firefly spend a summer living with Danny to get away from their abusive father. Their mom is not in the picture. That's about all I can tell you without giving the story away. Read it...you will be glad you did. It will be continued.

This is an easy read, but because of my busy week I could only read at night! Spicy happened right away in the beginning of the story and then kind of mellowed out throughout the story and then came back towards the end. Jax tries to control his attraction to Chalene, someone he needs to keep away from. He has secrets that her brother is a part of but she doesn’t find out right away! The way this story ends leaves you wanting more!! There is definitely some confusion in this story that leaves you wanting more!

Jax falls for Chalene when he rescues her from her horrible father. He never stops watching her and when she is in danger from a tinder date, he is there to save her again. This time he takes her to is place and doesn’t plan on letting her go. Fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. This is a dark read and will be two more books in the trilogy. Intense and steamy. I loved it.

I feel like this book went almost too fast. One minute the FMC Chalene wants nothing to do with the MMC Jax and wants to be independent and make it on her own and feels betrayed by him and the next she totally forgives him, is in love with him, and becomes dependent on him. I love a good enemies to lovers story, but she forgave him super quickly. And just when the main characters we starting to communicate with each other the book was over on a cliffhanger.

Boring

This book was not only boring but totally ridiculous! The characters were , I don't even know how to describe them. As for the cliff hanger, the only way I'd read the next book would be if they both fell off a cliff together on the first page. Run from this book! Shirley

This is the first part of a story that will grab you from the start as Jax rescues Charlene from her father and tries to keep her and brother safe, even from him.

This is fast-pace story that will have you on the edge of your seat and leave you wanting more.

Jax has wanted Chalene since meeting her. This is an age gap read with the heroine being stalked. It was dark short read.
