Pretty different from the anime. Characters are the same and its still a mix of comedy with action, but the jokes are different and the action scenes are longer. A lot of jokes are now in Ayumu's internal monologue and commentary on the situations.

This was written in Japan. This is his only book that made a name for itself all of his others no one really knew about it started off on magazines.
The settings of this book is the school where Ayumu goes to school. The school where Ayumu goes to. And also the town he goes many places at the town like parks and fairs.
Ayuma is the main character of this book. He died at the beginning of the book and was brought back to life and is now trying to find his killer. Eucliwood is the girl who bought Ayuma back to life. She is the master to everyone in the house including Ayuma and can no speak because she is to powerful or it hurts her. Haruna is a girl that lives with Ayuma and she stays around the house and helps Eucliwood. Seraphim is a fighter that protects Eucliwood.
The theme of this book is Mystery Romance and action. Ayuma is fighting and is trying to find his killer which he is looking for clues in order to find them that is action and mystery. And The Romance is between Ayuma and all the girls that live with him but he likes Eucliwood but it is hard to have a relationship with someone that cannot talk.
Ayuma was brought back to life by Eucliwood she then has control over him or she will put him back to death. Now back alive again as a zombie. Ayuma wants to find his killer so that the killer doesn't hurt no one else. As a zombie light hurts him so school is a pain. He still goes but tries to keep everyone from figuring out. There are people out to kill Eucliwood along with that and Ayuma loves her so he will go threw everyone to save her.
Foreshadowing - Don't joke around about death it's not something to play around about. Ayuma is hinting that he isn't really alive and he knows how it feels to die. I was just punched in the face by Kirto. Does it look like im ok! Personification Kirito is the punching bag it isn't a person.
Today’s my birthday. During times like these I always think whether or not it was a good thing that I was born. Eucliwood She is telling everyone about her birthday. Loneliness is peaceful, but there’ll be no one to share happiness with. Ayuma is trying to convince Eucliwood to stay with him. This world is full of secrets meant never to be disturbed. Ayuma is foreshadowing that he is dead.
