Our mission with Science Performance Expectation Prompts is to help teachers with meaningful science learning in the time that they have, using readily available resources, and without having to spend a lot of time researching to build background knowledge. Our stance is that it is okay for everyone to learn together, all with the identity of a scientist trying to make sense of phenomena on our shared planet.What we have for you here are prompts that represent specific actions around the Performance Expectations, by grade level, from kindergarten through grade three. Each are meant to be encapsulated experiences with readily available materials or observable phenomena to create opportunities for teachers and students to promote their identities as scientists.
