I thought I’d escaped my past, but it has returned with a vicious bite.
My whole world is crashing down around me like an avalanche. My past is nothing like I always believed, and the recent revelations are making me question everything. Those who I’d begun to trust abandoned me when I needed them. Fear, shame and nightmares rule my life, and if it wasn’t for my one close friend, I’d be completely alone. This is something I must face on my own, though. I can’t bring this burden down on my family. There is no way I’m going to let them feel responsible for my life spiraling out of control. I battle to fix it daily, and I'm finding the more happiness I find, the drop afterwards is worse. On Halloween, I learned nightmares were real, and that I was in my own personal hell. Those I'd grown close to, those I'd let in and began to trust showed me it was nothing but a lie. I meant nothing, and that will never happen again. I will not allow them to throw me away and pick me back up whenever they want. They broke me, shattering me completely. Now it’s up to me to put myself back together again, piece by piece. I will fight for myself, prove just how strong I am. I will get my revenge and fight the monsters that threaten my family and I. It snuck into my life like Jack Frost, an icy chill in the night. Will I be able to fight off the frost bite?
I hope every book you buy has a chapter missing, I hope your alcohol is always half water, I hope you see spoilers for the season finale of every tv show you love, I hope you always have a little pebble stuck in your shoe, I hope every time you order coffee you get decaf, I hope your kindle shuts down to update every time you start the first spicy scene of your book, I hope the store is always out of your favorite snack.
I hate your face, An emotionally damaged reader

Frost Bitten is book 2 Scandalous Slopes Series as soon I got chance I jump right in . This book took me on roller coasters of emotions and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat . I was completely eating this story up . I There is SO much I want to say about this book, but I don't want to give anything away . I can’t wait till Three book come out after that cliffhanger at the end !!!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Oh my!!! I'm a mess A true and real mess. I almost threw my kindle up against the wall until I remembered that I loved it and couldn't live without it. This book sucks you in from the beginning and doesn't let up until your tossing something up against the wall. Cait is no longer a victim. She is emerging and has become a survivor. I love that she learned to take it one day at a time dealing with her memories and experiences as they come. Corey too is by her side every step of the way. Bast is also a constant companion and gosh I don't even know what to say about Dominic. This book also brings the heat and is going to have you reading as fast as you can. I loved every heart pounding moment of this book.
Noooo, don't let it end there. Ugh this arthur kills me with her cliffhangers🤦🏼♀️🤨. Why you want to do us that way Natasha😭😂 This is the 2nd book in the Scandalous Slopes Series and thing's are definitely heating up not only on the slopes, but in the bedroom ha. That sounded just like a commentary🤣.
This picks up where book 1 had left off at and boy oh boy did thing's get intense af. It seems that Cait's past has caught up to her in the new town they moved to as her stalker has found her and the guy's are no where to be found. This guy is a real cunexttuesday. He gives her a ultimatum that she knows she can't refuse. She just has to figure a way out of it, but as the week's countdown thing's aren't looking to good. Will time run out for Cait?
The guy's know that they've screwed up royally after she gets away from the guy and she tells them about her past and who the stalker is to her, so they decide they're going to win back her trust, and of course Cam who realized he was the reason for all of what happened is having the hardest time dealing with his feeling's for her. He's afraid of getting hurt again. Will he be able to work through what he feel's towards her? But then that bomb drop happened that absolutely put a twist on thing's. What will happen there...hmmm.
This book was just so good. I couldn't put it down after the first page, and now I have to wait to see what happens after that lil cliffhanger ending, because time is up for Cait.
🚫There is some triggers at the beginning in here that you need to read if you need trigger warnings, so please read them before reading the book🚫 .
Let me start by saying that I’m totally hooked on this series. I NEED to know how it ends. I will absolutely be reading book 3 asap. But, it’s definitely got some things I didn’t jive with. There was the same thing with book one, where the conversational speech is so formal and stiff. I may not have noticed when reading it but I listened to the audiobook and the lack of contractions was quite jarring and took me out of the story quite a few times throughout. It was also incredibly predictable, but honestly, whatever, it was still enjoyable. I really struggled with the dynamic between Cait and her mum. One minute she’s “the best mom ever”, the next she’s essentially using her older daughter as a free nanny while she’s off lying and doing whatever she wants. I understand that is likely just a me issue but it really bothered me. I’m also struggling a little with her age. We’re talking about a 19 year old here. With a 30 something guy and 3 x 20 somethings. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t bother me a bit and the “you’re mature for your age” focus made me a little uncomfortable. Then there was weird stuff in the story itself. (Avoiding spoilers by being intentionally vague) She has a “deadline”, that these 4 men who claim to love her know about, but no one does anything about and then they leave her unprotected when the deadline is reached? There weren’t even conversations or plans discussed. The whole dynamic between them all felt a whole lot more like lust and surface level stuff than actual love and care. So all in all, there were parts of this I really struggled with, but ultimately I kept coming back to listen because I want to see how it all plays out.
SO good! I still can’t believe this is only Natasha’s second book! It reads as if she has been writing for years, and the emotion she’s able to invoke is incredible. Keep a tight hold on your kindle with this one, it’s easy to send it flying when you read this. Cait is an amazing FMC, everything she does is to protect her family and better herself. She’s stronger than she knows, stubborn, smart, and overall, a fantastic FMC. She refuses to be the victim any longer, she’s a survivor and is determined to live her life regardless of what else is going on. This book is definitely darker than the first one so beware of that going into it. Cait has so much going on in her life on top of dealing with her boys. They must grovel big time in this one and I’m so here for it. This book is a fantastic mix of dark and light, black and white, and all shades of gray. Cait must find herself, and in doing so, find her new place in Golden and her boys’ lives. It’s an amazing why choose romance that you have to experience for yourself. Give it a shot, it’s well worth it. Plus, with super-hot snowboarders, yummy steam, and everything in between, there’s never a dull moment! After that cliffy, I can't wait to see what Natasha has in store for us next!
I am screaming on the inside!! When I tell you that this book had me ready to toss my tablet I’m not even being dramatic!!
I absolutely LOVE Cait she’s missing so many pieces and yet she keeps pushing towards something better for her and those she loves. Loved to see remorse from her guys and that she didn’t just immediately fold.
The twist and turns in this one had me dizzy even when i KNEW they were coming like with the relationship with… well IYKYK 😁
The guys are all so different from each other and I love to see that in a why choose because who wants a bunch of the same dude!? Corey is my favorite 😍 Bast is a close second, Dom I’d love to see more of and Cam I want to kick! 😅
This is an emotional read and it’s important to read the triggers for this one as it has graphic elements involving flashbacks of child s€xual abūse and s€xual vi0lence in the present.
This book is a rollercoaster of emotions full of healing, strength, courage, love and growth. If you want to read about a young woman evolving from victim to survivor while she learns to navigate letting people love and support her this is the book!!
Well….here’s book 2. And I’m just sitting here trying to figure out what to say. Because I’m literally speechless, and if you know me, I’m not usually stunned into having no words. But yeah, that’s what I have. No words.
In one fell swoop, Cait has emerged. She’s no longer just a victim, she’s a survivor. She’s learning to take one day at a time, her memories and her experiences has left her reeling but she’s determined to keep going. And she has men by her side every step of the way. Corey is ever present. Bast, a constant companion. Dominic, a little slow on the uptake but with reason but he’s here now and damn, is he just effing sexy. Ugh, him and Cait. 🥵🥵
Cameron. I don’t know what to say except he needs to just…you know what I don’t even know. Cam is a different set of emotions. I want to just slap him across the head.
This book is just top tier emotional, it brings you in, you get sucked into the story that you realize you hit the end and you scream. Hurry with book 3 please. Because this cliffhanger, yeah that’s not nice!
Lord you wouldn't believe this is only her second book by the way this woman writes!!! This book will pull you in and have you all tied in knots from first off just the total hawtness of it!!! The chemistry that Cait has with all the guys is just amazing!! And I love that all of them are so different and are bringing different elements with each of them and how they are with her. And the why choose books are totally hot!! Cam still needs work but he will get there. But then you have all this twist and turns and surprises that pop up all over this book and you are like what the he!! is happening here!! Now read the trigger warnings because there is some delicate issues in this book. I really can't put into proper words how much I am loving this series!! It's erotic, romantic, spellbinding and twisted and I am loving every single bit of it!! But dang these cliffy are some of the best or worst I have ever come across in my life!!! If you love some why choose and don't mind some trigger issues you must read this series!!! Highly recommend it!!!

Talk about a roller coaster of emotions! There are definitely heavy topics covered in this series so be mindful before reading. With that being said, I have absolutely loved this series! I felt like my heart was either racing or melting the entire book and then to end on that cliffhanger? I need a couple days to recover lol
This book picks up where we ended in book 1 and let me just say i was instantly in my feels. I don’t want to give anything away but I was happy to see the guys groveling and and evolving through the book! Cait has had to deal with so much and she truly deserves nothing but happiness!
There are a lot of stressful moments and some of the characters I just wanted to strangle at times but the emotions were raw and authentic and I appreciated that! I’m definitely looking forward to the next book because I’m beyond stressed with how it ended. I knew it was coming and I’m still mad about it lol
Natasha loves to torture us with these cliffhangers 😂😂
Frost Bitten is book #2 in the Scandalous Slopes series. It's a dark reverse harem. Make sure to check the trigger warning.
Cait has been thru so much, and has some bad days, but she is still so strong. After what happened in the first book, she makes the guys work for her forgiveness and they put the work in happily! Bast and Caits relationship grows stronger and this man in the bedroom? Freaking HOT!!! Cait and Corey are just adorable together and Dom is even figuring out his relationship with Cait. Then, my poor Cam!! They were so happy together, then their parents dropped a bomb on them!!!! Plus, Caits past is still chasing her down and she doesn't know what to do.
This one will take you on an emotional ride and that cliffy will make you wanna pull your hair out!! Natasha writes such an amazing story that will keep you glued to the pages!
Now I'm gonna go cry into my pillow and wait for book 3.
I absolutely loved this book! It picks up right where the first book left off and details exactly what happens. There is a lot of emotions in this one from Cait having to face her abuser again to the guys realizing they were wrong about so many things.
There's some serious groveling and discussions. We get to see the characters grow and mature a bit in this one as they all learn how to move forward and decide what they really want.
It does get a bit dark with some scenes that may be difficult for some people so be aware of your triggers going into this.
There's a lot of drama happening here and trying to figure out what's going on with Jason. Will he be caught? How can the group make this relationship work together? Will Cam ever get out of his own way?
I loved the drama and mystery. Another cliffhanger, but I'm not mad about it. I'm just eagerly waiting for the third book.
Lawd help me I was soooo freaking mad at the guys for what they did to Cait at the end of book 1 like so freaking mad none of them deserve to be in her presence they don’t deserve to even lay their eyes on her sweet and caring soul. My heart hurt so much for Cait but it also beat so strong for how brave she is how she holds it all together and still just tries to protect herself and her family and how much she still cares for the A-Holes even after they did her dirty… I needed me some real groveling and Pierce came through. I have to say I loved book 2 even more than book 1 that is a testament to this authors amazing writing and ability to tell Cait’s story. This second book was filled with so many emotions so many bombshells just all the things that had you thinking what else is going to fall into Cait’s shoulders how much more can she take but this woman right here is amazing. That ending left me with my jaw on the floor again and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.
I thought the cliffhanger for book 1 was harsh but this one 😳. Seriously I gasped in shock once I reached the end.
Cait has become the focus of a dangerous stalker from her past. Previous trauma she endured is coming to the surface. The guys she was beginning to care for absolutely let her down.
The guys each must come to the realization that they let doubts in and failed Cait. They must now each decide do they try and move forward to gain forgiveness or do they let her go?
So much happens in this book and I want to say absolutely read the trigger warnings for this. It's darker than the 1st book. Cait is amazing in persevering. She's not perfect in how she's dealt/ dealing with the trauma. I had moments where I wanted to shake her and say seriously reach out ask for help. Cam is hot and cold and I really wanted to b***h slap him at the end.
Natasha I'm going to need the next book ASAP. At this point I think you just like torturing your readers.
This book picks up right where the first book ended so my emotions were at a high right from the start! I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster from heartbreak, healing, happiness, and so much more. I couldn’t put the book down and am already counting down for book 3!!!
I like Cait! Her character is complicated because she has been through so much. I appreciated that she made the guys grovel some. Dealing with trauma like Cait has is unique for everyone but I appreciate thar Pierce tried to make it realistic and not just gloss over it all. I love Corey and Bast. I definitely want more of Dom! Cam is complicated for me. I’m sure I will end up loving him but right now he frustrates me so much!
This book definitely has some steamy scenes and I’m excited for more in the next book. Be prepared the cliffhanger in this book is brutal and may cause you to through your kindle or scream at Pierce!
Great continuation of book one. I especially appreciated how balanced and mature the fmc (Cait) was when handling the mistake the guys made. She was hurt but not petty or vindictive, which honestly elevated her above the guys in many ways. My heart was breaking for Corey. Bast kind of came out of nowhere for me in this second book. This felt a little bit like "his" book and he really steps up when the others are floundering. Without giving away spoilers, I will say that Cait frustrated me with the way she is being completely silent on a looming deadline/threat. Her complete lack of communication on that very serious situation seems unrealistic to me and made the story feel less "real" to me. Overall really good writing. Interesting plot. Great character chemistry. Some really well done spice. I read both books in one day and eagerly awaiting the release of the final book in a few days.
If I thought the cliffhanger at the end of the first book was bad then this was a freaking bomb. When I tell you I was ready to chuck my tablet across the room!! The second book picks up right where the first book ended and babbbyyyyy I was in tears. My pearls were clutched since the last few chapters of the first book and didn't release until a few chapters into this book. Oh I was so ready to dot a few peoples eyes because of how pissed off I was. This book definitely has more spice then the first book and my lordt it was HOT. The amount of emotions I went through while reading this book was insane and I can't WAIT to read the third book because I have so many questions that I need answers to. It's a good thing I know this series with a happy ever after because if it didn't me and Natasha would be fighting lol. I don't know how my heart is going to take the third book because this one had A LOT going on.
Frost Bitten is amazing!! It picks up where Escaping the Cold left off and it's pretty grueling. I didn't know what was going to happen after the end of book 1, but seeing Cait after her encounter, hit the guys and her friends full force.
The guys... *sigh* (especially Dom 🥵🥵) They're doing everything they can to gain her trust back. We do see them open up a bit more to her and their relationships start to change. And those 🌶🌶 scenes 👀 yes, please!!
Everyone needs a Ella!! She is there for Cait no matter what. She's always happy go lucky and lifts Cait up. Their dynamic is the definition of besties.
The cliffhanger... geeze, I knew it was coming. I was waiting for it, bracing myself, and BAM! Off the cliff... then there's "I hope that wasn't that bad." 🙄🙄 Of course it was and now I have to wait for book 3 😭😭😭
Great Continuation! This book gave me all the feels. There was humor, angst and steam. I feel like we really get to see the relationships developing between Cait and the guys. I like that each relationship is moving at its own pace, it makes it seem more natural. Cait is a survivor! While she has went through some horrible things, she still continues to fight and is still so considerate and loving to those she cares about. I was really proud of her as well. I felt like she stayed true to herself after explaining to the guys what happened to her. She didn't let her attraction to them make her quick to forgive them. Cait and Cam were definitely thrown a curveball in this book and I can't wait to find out what that means for their relationship. Overall, great read! I can't wait for book 3!!
Frost Bitten is book two of the Scandalous Slopes series and can’t be read as a standalone. It starts exactly where book one left off. Starting with action and ending with action! I was hit with every emotion with this book. I laughed, cried, got mad, and cried some more. It was an emotional roller coaster! Cait has already had to deal with so much from her past and now she is dealt even more! I love Bast and Corey and their fun lightheartedness that they add to the dynamics. And Dom is just a big ole marshmallow! I freaking love him! Everyone needs a Dom in their life! And Cam, we’ll Cam can just go kick rocks for all I care! He has a lot of groveling to do in his future! And then we had that huge twist at the end along with the cliffhanger! My heart can’t take it! I can’t wait for the next book!
Have mercy Natasha seems love to torture her MCs! 😱 These cliffies just may kill me yet!
I was stoked to see our girl, Cait, rise from the ashes. She's an absolute badass in my opinion. Although, I'd still hold a pretty big grudge against the guys if I were her, but that's me. She does make them grovel and they do so very willingly.
The relationship dynamic between Cait and each of her guys is so different. I love that for her. I think that it gives her something that she needs and then all of them as a whole is starting to be cohesive.
Always check the TW/CW: 💥SA (without intercourse) 💥PTSD 💥Stalking 💥Haunted house oogie boogies 🤣
Anywho! Time to wrap this up with the goodies: Read: 4🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 3 🌶🌶🌶 CLIFFHANGER
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Frost Bitten by Natasha Pierce is the second book in the Scandalous Slopes series. It was so good and I was sad to see it end as the storyline flowed so well.
💜 strong FMC 💜 wonderful and supportive best friends 💜 why choose 💜 groveling 💜 four hot men 💜 🌶🌶🌶 spice
This book picks right up where book one leaves off and it just runs from there. Cait works so hard on herself and her mental health. It great to see a FMC that works hard to heal herself and isn’t afraid to ask for what she wants and expects. Does she forgives the guys right away for their behavior? Does she make her way away from whomever kidnapped her at the end of book one?
This book was so good. I kept getting swept up into everything that when it ended, I was completely shocked. Yes, it ends on another cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next book to come out to see what happens next.
Warning.... this one has triggers for some, read the warnings... that said...
UGH UGH UGH!!! That ending again!!! Cliffhangers are the worst, sometimes. We all knew something like this ending would happen, but gosh darn it, we can hope otherwise... right?
Cait just wants to be happy, but wants and gets are always two different things, right? Her guys didn't exactly do the right thing at the end of book 1, did they? How are they ever going to make THAT right. We find out more about Cait's nightmares and dreams and what they mean... Gotta say, saw it coming, and it still was horrible to witness and watch her re-live.
I don't know for SURE what Book 3 is going to bring, I know what I WANT to happen, but that ending of this one just is hitting me hard in the stomach....
You love #whychoose? suspense? come this way and read along.
Holllly crap! This book really took me oJ a crazy ride! Natasha, where have you been hiding!? This book is nothing short of amazing!
Cait has grown so much and in this book she grows even more. She is still dealing with so much, memories, the horrible experiences and the aftermath of the cliffhanger of book 1. I wasn’t happy with the guys, but especially Cam 😒. Corey & Bast are the go tos, they’re present and there for her when she needs. Dominic, even though he’s slow to come around, we know why and get it. Cam, honey baby, get your head out ya 🍑 pretty please.
You are sucked right in and than slapped so damn hard with that cliffhanger. I don’t know where book 3 will take us, but I know we’re in for it when we get there.
Getting to pick up where book one left off, we got to see Cait’s reaction and her revelation of what went down to the guys. Their initial reactions were very dumbfounded, but when she later lays everything out for them? Their guilt and anguish over how things went down is beautifully played out! Add in their grovels and apologies and they are building the foundation to a very well communicated poly relationship.
If only Cait wasn’t harboring her own secrets and shared her worries with her family and boyfriends. I know book three won’t be an easy journey for any of us, but I’m excited to see how everything plays out!
**ARC Review** This book picks up right where you left toff in book 1 escaping the cold. Ive never been more in edge in the benign go a book than I have this one. You are defiantly in a rollercoaster of emotions with Cait during this book. She’s gone through so much and it seems to be never ending for her. While working on her trust again with her guys she is battling a decision that will turn her whole world over.
Her guys! Swoon! I was so torn at the end of book 1 but they forsake come around and prove that they are all in with her, if she’ll let them. You see a side of some of them you didn’t see before. While Corey is still a little softy and worships her. The others are a little more dominate in their worship. IYKYK! Cait come out of her shell a little more as well and your really see how strong she can be.
The cliffy was another killer one! I was not expecting it and I was glaring at my kindle! Lol! Im very much can’t wait for book 3! I need to know what happens!
Hmmm... I honestly had higher hopes for this book. It picked up from the cliffhanger and the events that took place made no sense with the way it was dealt/handled. For some reason I just lost a lot of interest and started skimming through the story and it took me way longer to finish than my usual reading. Oh there was also the thing with the mom in the end. Didn't realize her work trips were shady excuses and it was never addressed as being such and the guys never discussed that particular situation as being weird. Like it was just overlooked by everyone as being normal and super okay. Like what?!?! So yeah I was just put off. Hope the final book is great like book one was.
4.5⭐️ The joy and despair, the love and the heartbreak, the bombshells and the swoon worthy moments in this book gave me a rollercoaster ride that I’m still on and am anxious to see what twists and turns the final book brings!
Cait carrie’s so much on her shoulders, never wanting to burden others, but her family and friends and her guys desperately want to be there for her. Her mom relies on her so much and is finally finding some happiness for herself. While Corey, Bast, Dom, and Cam are slowly finding their way back into her life and heart after they left her alone and vulnerable.
Then there is the psycho ex-step-dad who wants Cait all for himself …
