A lovely time-travel romance in Italy! I loved the concept with the portrait in the museum, and Armond and Lavinia’s story was super sweet. The ending was so good, I’m eager to see what comes next!! ✨ 🖼️

I really enjoyed reading this book. It had romance and drama, and I really look forward to reading the next book. Quinn Jamison has a bright future ahead of her. The fact that she wrote this wonderful book in a couple of months during the pandemic when she was only 16 still amazes me. Keep the books coming, Quinn. I'm definitely a fan. : )

This is a very sweet and feel-good love story spanning the confines of time. While on a trip in Italy, 19 year old Lavinia is drawn to a painting in an art museum without knowing why. When she touches it, she is literally transported back in time and comes face-to-face with none other than the devilishly handsome subject of that painting himself, Armond. Stuck in the 1840s, this modern girl will have to navigate the old-fashioned outlook on women, lack of modern medicine, dangerous pastimes like sword fighting…but perhaps most of all she has to navigate her deepening emotions for Armond. Can you fall in love and build a life with someone from another time in history? And what about her family in 2017? She misses them too while simultaneously building a life with him here.

I almost feel like this is a Hallmark movie. Or it certainly could be! If you’re looking for dark and messed up, look elsewhere. This is a story for those looking for good feeling, things to work out, respectful love. It’s very sweet and very pure. There are some great descriptions throughout Quinn Jamison’s writing, “Finally, he closed the small distance, and our lips joined and locked together like two pieces of iron forging into one with a searing, hot brand.” I also loved how the FMC’s eyes are described as “cognac eyes”. The end is riddled with some unexpected twists that really pulls the story together nicely. Most impressive is the author wrote this at the age of 16. Perhaps that is partly why it is so sweet and pure, but how nice to be pulled back into that mindset of goodness and believing in such good and true love? It was refreshing to read something like this and I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a feel-good love story.

“Till my last breath and whatever goes beyond that.”

I was completely sucked into the story. This felt like Kate and Leopold and Outlander mashed together. I did stay up till 3 am to finish this book. It's a time travel romance set in Italy. It is available on Kindle Unlimited. I am looking forward to book 2!

"In a world where time is but a canvas, Lavinia’s touch on a painting sends her spiraling into 1847 Italy. There, amidst danger and romance, she must navigate a love that defies centuries. Welcome to The Art of Time, where history and heartbeats intertwine.”

I recently had the pleasure of reading The Art of Time by Quinn Jamison, and it was an enchanting journey that left me both breathless and contemplative.

The story follows nineteen-year-old Lavinia Melrose, who, while on a trip to Rome, stumbles upon a captivating painting in her dream museum. Little does she know; this painting will change her life forever. One touch, and Lavinia is transported back to 1847 Italy, where she meets Armond, a knight with a familiar face. Their romance blossoms amidst the backdrop of historical intrigue and personal challenges, making for a thrilling and heartwarming adventure

From the moment Lavinia touched that painting, I was hooked. The concept of time travel through art is both unique and fascinating. Jamison’s writing is vivid and immersive, painting a rich tapestry of 19th-century Italy that feels both authentic and magical. The historical details are meticulously woven into the narrative, making the setting come alive.

Lavinia is a relatable and strong protagonist. Her journey from a modern-day tourist to a woman navigating the complexities of the past is compelling. Her relationship with Armond is beautifully developed, filled with tender moments and palpable chemistry. Armond, with his chivalrous demeanor and hidden depths, is the perfect counterpart to Lavinia’s independent spirit.

The plot is a perfect blend of romance and adventure. The challenges Lavinia and Armond face—from an overbearing father to a poisonous ex and a looming war—add layers of tension and excitement. The emotional stakes are high, and I found myself rooting for them at every turn.

What I loved most about The Art of Time is its exploration of love and destiny. The idea that time cannot confine true love is a powerful theme that resonates throughout the book. Jamison’s prose is lyrical, and her storytelling is both heartfelt and engaging.

In conclusion, The Art of Time is a captivating read that will transport you to another era and make you believe in the magic of love. If you’re a fan of historical romance with a touch of fantasy, this book is must-read.

Sepanjang cerita si aku agak deg-deg an yaa merhatiin karakternya heroine kita ini, karena takut keputusan ataupun perkataan yang di lontarkan gadis 19 tahun berefek panjang apalagi disini heroinenya jauh dari orang tua dan hanya sebatang kara, but sepanjang cerita ternyata heroine kita nih cerdik loh meskipun kelihatan sembrono tapi she can outsmarted the so called villain, bravo Lavinia!

# btw sudah di warning spoiler kan?

Karakter Armond as Hero disini strickingly steal my attention, apalagi di blurb mata hijaunya itu menghipnotis aku (dan heroine tentunya). Overall i love his character ya tipe-tipe gentlemen gituuu meskipun Hero kita ini tergolong muda tapi treat heroine nya kita ini juarakkk!, tapi beberapa kali aku gemes deh sama ayah dari Hero nya. Beberapa kali keputusan egoisnya beliau itu bikin karakter Hero kita terlihat tidak berdaya apalagi Hero kita terbilang masih muda dan tinggal di mansion keluarga which is keputusannya masih dibayang-bayangi keputusan ayahnya

Lavinia Melrose : Heroine
Armond Cornelius Dante Alessandro : Hero

My Favorite Part Of The Book :

“When I’m long dead, and you’re in this room back in your time, I’ll haunt you and haunt you so you can come back to me over and over again.” “You better. No matter how much I tell you otherwise.” His green eyes opened. “I will,” he promised. I bit my lip. “Then, I will come back to you, over and over again.”

Overall🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️ 4/5 Stars!

Sekian dulu review hari ini see you on my next review. Have a nice dream Escapist !

An incredibly cute historical romantic with epic love, adventure, time traveling, action, drama and such an amazing and strong FMC who stays true to herself even when the people around her try to change her.

The Art of Time is a depute YA book by a young author. And i loved how shee created a story with so much depth and details. The writing is easy to read and the plot is so cute. When i tell you i cried in the end, i mean i sobbed. If you are looking for a sweet feel good story with historical setting and epic romance that also has a alot of action, then this is it.

Plot:
19year old Lavinia goes on an art trip to Italy and gets drawn into a painting in the museum when she touches it due to an draw she cant explain. And so she ends up being stuck in 1840s with tha handsome guy that was the main focus in the painting that sucked Lavinia into a different time. She has to choose whether to stay or leave? Can she leave? Can she build a life and love someone in the past? Can she forget about her life in the future? Can she fit into a time where women had no rights? A lot of questions, i guess you will have to read it to find out the answers🤭

"sychology says something along the lines of, when one is genuinely in love, there isn’t another who will hold their interest but that particular person; if one catches themselves captivated by others, they aren’t exactly in love."

"The point I’m coming across might sound somewhat familiar: I loved, and so I lived on."

"You will eventually understand.
Most faithfully and devotedly yours, ~ A"

"I just feel like … I might be falling, falling hard for you … falling in love with you."

"How would you describe me in one word?” I gave it a thought. He could be described as a lot of things.
Smart. Personable. Kind. Funny. Adoring. Warm. Endearing. I couldn’t pick just one word, but before I could stop myself, I was saying, “Everything.”

“You’re my first and only. You will be last.”

“My home is you; wherever you are, I’ll follow.”

“Here you are, alive and living in the past that is my present,”

Mucho Italiano - 4/5
An adventurous debut with swoon-worthy romance. Lavinia's personal journey is full of many twists and turns with historical flavor. All the eras seem to collide in one little pocket of time, filled with a cast of lovable and hateable faces - shoutout Dino and Chiara! It's hard to mention lovable characters without mentioning our main man himself, Armond Cornelius Dante Alessandro. The romance is more cute than steamy, although there are a few wholesome intimate scenes. Our lead couple are absolute soulmates.

The plot bounces from mini-adventure to mini-adventure, but the overarching story does fit nicely from a structural perspective. The writing style is fast-paced though a touch amateurish at moments, which develops strongly over the course of the series. As a debut, this gives a clear taste of Jamison's authorial style. Enjoyed the main character's adorkable banter and the main couple sharing their passions. Enjoyed, detrimentally, as it removed me from the story, nerding over historical details and trying to place anything from slang terms to dress descriptions on a historical timeline, as well as laboring over Italian dialogue (all translated within the story) to compare it to my high school French. This was 100% to my nerdy enjoyment, not a fault of the story.

Had a wonderful romp through Italian history and will be an incorrigible art museum guest from now on!

Thank you to the author for a copy of "The Art of Time" in exchange for an honest review. Just realized now how perfect the title is!

I had the pleasure of reading "The Art of Time," and I absolutely loved this book.

Starting off, the plot of time travel through a painting is so cool and creative, I loved the thought that went into that part of the story and really enjoyed seeing a different take on time travel.
Now for the romance, I am not a big romance reader, it's never been my type of book, but I just have to make an exception. The banter, the characterization, the emotions... there were chapters I reread purely because of that.
Lavinia is such an amazing character and I love her so much, getting to see the world from her POV made the story that much better.
Armond on the other hand, is my favorite, there was just something about the way he was introduced into the story that made him stand out to me.
By the end of the book, I was in tears.
I NEED to read the next book!

I love time travel stories, so I really loved this book. The connection between Lavinia and Armond was strong enough to transcend time and draw her through a painting. Armond and Lavinia’s interactions were sweet and funny, especially whenever he didn’t understand her modern American phrases, though luckily, she did speak Italian.

She’s a strong female character, and I loved her spunk, especially in dealing with Armond’s father.

The ending was great and left me really looking forward to the next book. I’ve already pre-ordered “The Art of Bending Time: A Forbidden Return” and can’t wait to continue Lavinia’s and Armond’s story.

I could not put into words how this book made me feel even if I tried and had all of the words in the world. It is honestly just an incredible adventure, a beautiful love story filled with laughter and bravery, tragedy and loss but most of all, the characters are just magnificent ✨ every single small tiny detail has a meaning, nothing is left untied by the end of the book and I absolutely loved it! I will for sure never forget this book for years to come and to the author who brought it to life...thank you for sharing it with me 💓

Thank you Quinn for this book ✨
Honestly, I can’t believe a 16 year old managed to write a 400 page book. Quinn has a long career ahead of her, I can’t wait to watch her writing go from strength to strength.
This is a time travelling YA romance that chronicles Lavinia falling through time to meet the love of her life. I love the idea of a painting transporting you to another place and time. Quinn does an excellent job of taking that feeling that we’ve all experienced when we’ve seen/heard/read something that’s moved us, and turned it into something her own ♥️

Oh my God! This book had me openly weeping, or am I just that sensitive?? Or was this truly one of the most beautiful love stories I've ever read?! From the very first page, I was in love with the characters and absolutely adored their journey, aaaawww

And lucky me, when I finished book 1, book 2 was already out, so I didn't have to endure that agonising wait! 🙌

I give this 5 stars because lavina and armond live rent free in my head and i can't seem to get enough of these guys.

The only reason i can find about giving it a 4.5 before is because i was new to HR and the idea took a little time to adjust to. But now? I am a sucker for these so here it goes <3

The art of time took me by surprise. I didn't expect to fall in love with it the way i did. Before reading the story of Lavina and Armond it was just a book with some tropes i never bothered with. But now, it's engraved in my heart and whenever i look at a photo frame or visit museums, they will be who i think of. I will remember them for a long, long time and envision that Lavina finds her way to Armond everytime.

Now as for the overview, this book features a phenomenal historical romance with a time travel trope. Our main female lead, Lavina Jayne Melrose touches a painting and finds herself in a different time than she was originally in. There she meets our main male lead Armond Alessandro and well..the rest is history.

My heart warms for the side characters like Giovanni, Chiara, Doni, Marco and many more. It pains me that they are mere characters. I loved this book with all my heart and can't wait for whatever Quinn has in store for our dear couple.
