Welcome to Borrowed House - a collection of poems antsy enough to have been written one hundred years ago, and only now sprung from the dusty congressional archives. They will embrace you like a panther unto its prey. And amidst the embrace they will roll their eyes at the growing piles of strangers because a hotel is nothing more than a borrowed house.
I don't give tons of books five stars. This is a five star box of mixed chocolates - each little poem in this book makes you hungry for another (no pun intended). I love that Brooklyn uses such quaint images yet beneath the image itself is a sharp tongue that surprises.
And kudos to greying ghost - they create some really beautiful chapbooks.
