You've never experienced Wonderland quite like this.
When Alice was a child, four demonic men and a bloodthirsty Queen held her captive and introduced her to her darkest fears. Now she is all grown up, but the memories of their passionate, inhuman eyes consume her every waking thought.
On the eve of Alice's eighteenth birthday, a mysterious key leads her back down the rabbit hole into a dark and twisty world where the men that once taught her to fear them now have new lessons for her to learn.
But Alice is not the same innocent, frightened girl that they previously broke. This time, Rabbit, Hatter, Cheshire, and The Jabberwocky will have to play by her rules.
Let the seduction begin...

This dark, spicy Alice In Wonderland retelling was really fun to read.
The plot was well developed, there was strong character development from our female lead, and the humanisation of Cheshire, Rabbit, Hatter, and the Jabberwocky was done extremely well. I enjoyed it so much!
Definitely recommend to those who enjoy Dark Fantasy Romance and are looking for a short read!
1⭐️ 3🌶 but also -3 🌶 because the spice was explicit and frequent but hit most of my personal icks
I’m not even sure where to start with this book. This was my first adult reimagining of Alice in Wonderland and I was really excited for it. However other than the ending which had a great twist and cliffhanger this book really missed the mark for me.
I wish I had DNF this book once I lost interest which was probably around 20% in but I received an ARC and I feel like I can’t provide an accurate review if I don’t read it all.
For the first part of the book I really just didn’t care about the characters. I would put the book down because something needed my attention and I didn’t have a desire to pick it back up.
I also think the author did a disservice to herself and her readers by leaving off some TW/CW from her list. She does say that all characters are 18+ except for flashbacks and so I assumed any and all harm done to Alice was when she was 18+. This was not accurate and I would have added childhood assault and pedophilia to the list of TW because I don’t know what else you call it when grown men are lusting after a 13/14 year old.
Things really went downhill once Alice was taken back to wonderland. Actually it started when she was first taken to Wonderland as a child of 13 and she encountered a slut shaming queen who branded her with the words cunt and bitch. This is also where she first met Rabbit, Hatter, Cheshire, and the Jabberwocky. Four presumably adult men who were lusting after her at 13/14 years old and couldn’t wait for her to return when she was 18. All of this should have been enough for me to DNF on its own. But I prevailed.
Now I like a good smutty book. But believe it or not I found that the smut in this book got in the way of the story. I was left confused about what was going on and why things were happening for way too long because instead of talking, she was having sex with someone.
Now I know this next critique is entirely personal preference but certain spicy words are actually more of a turn off than a turn on for me and I think a large majority of them were used in this book.
I had a problem with how the only black character was constantly deserved as having a “chocolatey physique.” Chocolate was actually used five times to describe him.
Alice was taken to Wonderland when she was a child and returned home a year later with amnesia and nightmares. Now on her 18th birthday she knows she must go back to the place that torments her dreams to face her fear and put the past to rest.
This was a very dark retelling, I felt so much heartbreak for Alice enduring her childhood and adolescent trauma. Once she returns to Wonderland she finds comfort in Rabbit, Cheshire, Hatter, and feels an intense bond with the Jabberwocky. The steamy scenes are very descriptive and spaced consistently throughout.
Knowing all the men in Wonderland knew Alice when she was 13 and waited for her to come back to Wonderland as a woman made this whole story feel morally grey. Definitely be aware of the content warnings before reading.
I also can see how this is dark romance/erotica but overall for me this story felt sad. Alice is sexual and takes and gives freely, but her sexuality didn't feel emboldened and powerful to me, it felt more of a manifestation of childhood trauma and a core belief using her body to pleasure others was the only thing about her of value.
*I received a free copy of this book from KatieAndBreyPA and am leaving an honest review voluntarily.
Alice in Wonderland is my all time favorite fairy tale - Kell’s twisted retelling is everything I never knew I needed and so much more.
Once I started this, I couldn’t stop as Kell’s deviously brilliant mind created a world within a world with a heroine that may feel like she is on the brink of madness but is truly stronger than anyone could ever imagine. I love how the characters are so distinct and well developed that I couldn’t stop myself from being intrigued and wanting more of them.
This is high steam, Alice isn’t afraid to say what she wants and does what she can to get it. To some, it may seem to take away from the story - but I see it as a strength because it shows how Alice owns who she is as she learns the truth.
Honestly, I am head over heels in love with Kell’s retelling so far. It’s dark, twisted, hot and so uniquely different. I love how Alice’s strengths shine even when she is at her most vulnerable and she doesn’t give up. Jabberwocky, Rabbit, Hatter and Cheshire are so different with their unique personalities and traits, yet they all share their love with their true Queen. I cannot wait to see where Kell takes this and if Alice will be able to save the one who was taken from her.

This is a dark and spicy reimagined Alice in Wonderland retelling! As I’m sure you’ve already imagined this is not the story from your childhood, but it’s also a lot darker than you might think! I definitely prefer this version more, give me all the spice!🥵
“For Alice, her impending eighteenth birthday was not a new level of independence to look forward to but a foreboding countdown to ominous danger, the darkness of insanity, and in her mind, her inevitable death.”
This story starts with our FMC Alice as a happy and innocent child enjoying life. She loves horses, her family, and things couldn’t be better. Even though she’s still a child she’s ready to do her part, give back, and take on the world however she can! One night she’s awakened from her sleep by a tattooed man coming into her bedroom window. She didn’t know it at the time, too young and naive, but the second he stepped into her room her entire life changed. Fast forward a year, Alice has lost a year of her life and she isn’t the same. After being forced to face her fears and being tortured, she doesn’t know how to deal with life anymore. Over time struggling to cope Alice finds herself in a psychiatric hospital where she slowly loses herself even more. On the eve of her birthday, she knows what’s coming, her four monsters and the queen want her back. She was against the idea for so long that accepting her fate has allowed her to feel free. She’s going back to Wonderland and she has no intentions of surviving it.
“You’ve repeatedly risked your life for me when I’ve never asked you to, but I’m asking you now. Help me. Help us.”
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Alice starts off scared and lost and I loved watching her gain her confidence and find herself! She uses her men how she sees fit, but also lets them use her in return. Our MMC’s Hatter, Rabbit, Cheshire, and the Jabberwocky despite taking and torturing her also complete her in one way or another. They help her build confidence while while also worshiping and owning her body. They would do anything for her! The spice is definitely steamy and by the time you reach the end you’ll definitely want more! Be prepared because it does end in a cliffhanger!
I definitely recommend giving this a read! If you like spicy reimagined fairytales with dark twists you’ll definitely enjoy this one!
MAGNIFICENT, MANY SPOILERS I want to start by mentioning how excited I was to read this story. I love HR with my heart and I also love retelling and it's no secret that when it comes to Alice in Wonderland it's something that immediately captivates me. That this book was the perfect combination is something I love. I really liked the story, how the characters and their development were handled, the way of the personality as much as Hatter, Rabbit, Cheshire Jabberwocky and Alice was too good and I think that the personification that everyone had was the right one for me, each one perfectly fulfilled their mission with her. I love how Alice's story was a hard change from what she used to have since she was little, the loss of the innocence and pure soul that she had, and she became a lost and lonely woman that somehow he knew his fate was already completely sealed Liam is a character that I always liked, I really do trust him, something tells me that he sincerely loves her but there is something that he also hides and I want to know it I love the hatter very much as well as Rabbit, Cheshire and I'm learning to trust the Jabberwocky Somehow I know that he loves her in the most powerful way possible. I hope that Alice manages to rescue him and Wonderland at the same time and at the same time join her men, who are 100% the other parts of her heart I loved the plot 🥰 the only thing I would have wanted extra is that the twins would have been handsome haha and part of the harem but well jsjs I understand why this happened Anyway I completely loved the book and I'm dying to read JABBERWOCKY

Ask Alice: The tainted Wonderland Series book 1 by Kell Frillman
Ask Alice is a dark romance horror novel giving a twist to the classic story. The book has lots of triggers. Alice has been living in a psychiatric hospital since she returned from a one year disappearance where she claims to have been taken to a foreign realm. Throw out all of your images of Wonderland because this book is nothing like the original story. Throw in four hot guys that are all obsessed with Alice and you have a steamy why choose book on your hands. The drawback of the book is the things Alice endured during her year long disappearance.
Overall I enjoyed this book, liking the deviations from the original story. The spice was definitely there, and if you’re into dark twisted things, this is definitely for you. I didn’t like the abuse Alice suffered.
(Thank you Peachy Keen and the author Kell Frillman for the eARC in exchange for a spoiler free review)
Please read trigger warnings before reading this book!
Paranormal is not my go to genre but seeing that this was a RH, I immediately signed up for this (RH has been my go-to trope lately).
This book is written in the third person POV but it was easy to read. It is also a retelling of Alice in Wonderland.
The life of Alice was indeed a rough journey from a young age to when she knew it would all get worse. The characters that we commonly know are in this book and they each have a role in Alice’s world. I liked that they each had development - where they had their own connections with her. It didn’t feel like any part of the harem was only focused on Alice and one of the four men.
I felt that the flow between some parts of the book was not as smooth but this may be because I took breaks in-between reading.
Otherwise, this book was a good start to the series.
Such a great book! An epic read! If you like dark fairytale retellings this book is definitely for you! Soo good! You’ve never quite imagined wonderland liked this, dark, spicy and oh so hot! Alice never belonged anywhere but in wonderland. She always knew that’s where she belonged. With the men who desire her, who love her, protect her and who cherish her. In the human world she was treated like glass, they never pitied her, they know that she isn’t as fragile as everyone thinks. Jabberwocky! oh so protective! Very much she’s my girl don’t touch her vibes. But he’s protective for a reason! Cheshire! The sexy one who loves to go invisible and watch everything that happens! Love, love, love Voyeurism so hot! Rabbit! The one who knew he wasn’t supposed to touch her but did anyway! He’s delicious. Hatter- he’s the cinnamon roll. He’s very sweet but also dirty! This book was great! The chemistry was off the charts! The spice was delicious! These men literally worship the ground she walks on. They also know that she won’t break, she wants it rough and dirty!
The chapters of the book have very interesting title names and that piqued my interest even more. The cliffhanger is the Game changer for the story. The plot is very interesting and kept me hooked the entire way but when the end came near it was like a blast. I simply loved it. I am not a fan of cliffhangers but this one I highly appreciate and I wanted this type to be there in the book so that it became more fascinating. The book is inspired by Alice in wonderland and character names define their traits and powers in the majestic WONDERLAND.
Alice has a fierce mouth and can’t stop herself from saying whatever she has in her mind. There is a lot of dirty talking between the characters. I sympathize with Alice, even if she’s broken she’s very lovable, and the why’s of the story are answered at the end, and the entire picture is made clearer over there. Got to see some spiciness and there was nothing like over, it all was perfectly timed with the story which I highly appreciate. Now I’ll be waiting for January to know the next course of action.
Alice coming to her 18th birthday, being in the mental ward up to know since her return back from wonderland. There she met 4 men all mad and they all have their qualittpies that draw her to them. Jabberwocky the 2md hand man to the Sadistic Red Queen who wants her dead. Hatter the kinder and welcoming of the 4. Chest who loves to watch and pop in randomly. Rabbit, the one who can do magic illusions. But Alice is tired of being in fear of her nightmares and scars from the time she spent in wonderland. But Alice is a major player but doesn’t remember until Her own memories come back and answers confirmed and answered. Who are loyal to put back balance to Wonderland. Can Alice find her strength? Also, This ends in a cliffhanger that’s so good I can’t wait!
I loved this book!! Thank u peachykeen and Kell for providing me with an arc of this amazing book <33
I love Alice in Wonderland but what I love even more are 18+ versions of this tale.
“I’ll let you in on a secret. Only the best people have lightning bugs inside of their heads. Only the most incredible souls are mad like us”
14 year old Alice gets taken from her room one night by a tattooed stranger and a year later she returns with no recollection of the last 365 days. Now 4 years later on her 18th birthday she received a key that will take her back to the place where it all began. DOES THAT NOT SOUND AWESOME!!!
The writing style was amazing, I think I read the whole book in an hour because I couldn’t put it down. The plot, super interesting and very steamy ;) I loved the characters (expect for the Queen of Hearts but hey that makes sense)
To sum it up, this book was amazing and I absolutely love it! I can’t wait till January for the second book :((((
Thank you for this chance to read as a ARC. LOVED ever second of this story!
🧚♀️ Dark Fairy Tale ⏱️Alice and Wonderland Retelling 🖤Why Choose 🌶Lots of Spice 🤍3rd person POV
I was so excited to read this retelling! From the moment I head it was coming out I was counting down the days!
It starts out with a 13yr old sweet little girl that's why to trusting of the man that can to kidnap her. She was tortured and keep captive for ys. When she got free her parts though she had gone crazy with the stories of Wonderland. So they had her put into a institution.
Now Alice always new her future and on her 18th Birthday she was taken back to Wonderland. Where rabbit, Hatter and Cheshire tried to keep her from the Queen. But that was not possible with the Jabberwocky!
I don't want to give to much... go get your copy, you won't be sorry.
This I dark retelling of Alice in the Wonderland. I liked this book. However there was some parts where I was just bored. But it didn’t take long to get me back into it. Check TW.
This is a great retelling of the classic story! This dark and twisted story is the adult version of the fairy tale we all loved growing up. Alice has been locked up for years in an institute. She's been "crazy" since returning from her abduction to Wonderland at age 13. She has been through so much trauma! She doesn't remember everything from her first Wonderland visit, but she has horrific nightmares of it & knows when she returns there she will die. At age 18 she returns back to Wonderland and to the 4 men who have been lusting after her since she was 13. ( check those TWs - this particular TW bordered on some ick, but she IS 18 now... ) This book is filled with spice. Once you start this book, you are going down the rabbit hole. As a short read, it was easy to finish in one sitting. The cliffhanger is a doozy - so be glad book 2 is already out !
𝘈𝘴𝘬 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦 draws you into this amazing world from the first page. Alice has had a rough life, and I loved her growth throughout. She starts out as a tortured girl, who was forced to face her worst fears, and now we see her becoming a woman, with a half remembered past, learning to embrace her inner strength. I loved all the characters and how they each have a piece to complete Alice. We are left we a cliffhanger that will have you wanting to throw your reading device while also begging for the next book. Completely captivating and I can’t wait for more!
I normally try to read books with at least 250 pages. I feel like anything under that almost always feels rushed. This book however sooo did not feel that way. It was so unbelievably good. The amount of world building that waz put into 200 pages was absolutely insane!! I was hooked from page 1, and was unable to set it down for too long. I love all of the characteristics of each person within the main group, and all the little details that went into the side characters as well. That cliffhanger was brutal, and I cannot wait until book 2 comes out next year.
I just finished reading Kell Frillman book Ask Alice! I loved it! It had some spicy goodness in it. I couldn't put it down (except for bathroom breaks haha) but Kell knows how to catch a readers attention!
I really wanted to love Ask Alice, I was so excited for an Alice in Wonderland retelling, especially a why choose... But I just didn't...
I found the author's writing to be very choppy. It felt like day time soap acting, super over dramatic and bad dialogue. I had a very hard time connecting with the characters. It felt like so much of who they were as people were missing and I didn't care about what happened to them.
The șěx scenes were bad. I didn't find them to be hot at all and started skimming them or skipping them altogether... She used a lot of juvenile and meh words/phrases for me like swollen bean, thick jïzz, punched her little hole, skilled oral muscle, slimy liquids, and others.
I really hated the slůț shaming queen (branding her with sľůt and bïțch at 13? No thanks) and the fact that these men have been lusting after her since she was barely a teen... It all felt very ick to me...
The writing did get better when the action got intense, but fell flat again at the end. The cliffhanger was well timed, but I won't be picking up Jabberwocky.
Please read TW/CW because this book isn't for everyone and contains darker themes. So if it's not for you, it's not for you. ⚠️⚠️⚠️
Thanks Kell and Peachy Keen for this Arc! This version of Alice really reminded me of the video game Alice McGee's Alice in Wonderland it was darker and twisted and it drew me to read this book, but it's way different since she was a captive in Wonderland and lost her memories for a year, then poof she came back without any recollection except the nightmares, terror, and trauma.
She had grown up and she is now currently held in a mental institution and she mysteriously gets a key that will unlock everything. Her memories and her dark past. Where has she been for a year when she was 14? Who is this mysterious tattooed stranger who took her?
There she will meet the bloodthirsty queen and the others from Wonderland. The Rabbit, Chesire, and the Hatter. Especially the monster who laid claim to Alice. The Jabberwocky.
The world-building was definitely dark and entrancing. It was definitely spicy and grim, and this is definitely why choose romance. The men had strong sexual chemistry, but this is a book I would totally go to for definitely for the spice. This is a series so there will be more books to come.
Spice Level 3.5/5🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶 Rating 3.75 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 💫

Tropes: dark reverse-harem, Alice in Wonderland retelling, twisted
When sweet, innocent Alice was thirteen years old, she was taken from her family to Wonderland where four demonic men and a sadistic queen held her captive. During the year she was held, her worst fears and a few new ones were used to torment her. After returning home, her life was never the same. Then on her eighteenth birthday she received a key that took her back to Wonderland. She's not the same girl she was before. Now Rabbit, Cheshire, Hatter and the Jabberwocky will play by her rules.
I was never a fan of Alice in Wonderland and even though this began rather confusingly, I have to say I ended up loving this version. This will be a series and I am looking forward to where the author will take us next. If you are a fan of this fairytale, then I highly recommend this read or even if it becomes a new experience for you. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
Well, I fell right through the Looking Glass and into a grownup version of Wonderland!
Alice was taken to Wonderland at the age of 13 by the Jabberwocky, and when she was returned to the mortal world a year later, she had no recollection of the past year. Her parents institutionalized her twice, and after the second time basically acted as though she didn't exist. But Alice was plagued by nightmares that she knew had something to do with the strange land she had been taken to. And when she turned 18, she returned to Wonderland, all grown up, and became the object of desire for Hatter, Chesire, and Rabbit. Even Jabberwocky had eyes for her.
The Blood Queen is looking to torcher Alice once more, but her men will do whatever it takes to protect her. When secrets are revealed and Alice's memory starts coming back from her previous time in Wonderland, everything starts to change.
This book was exactly what I imagined a spicy version of Alice in Wonderland would be like, and I loved it! I can't wait for the second book in the series to be released!
I thought reading an Alice in wonderland retelling would help get me out of this slump to finish all the books I was unable to finish in December, I was severely wrong. The synopsis was great. Really hooked me in to wanting to read this book. I would love to say it was a great experience. It wasn't. It was mediocre for me which sucks because I am sure the author shares a deep love for the original like I do. I wasn't really invested into the story and felt like it needed a little more thought to be really great. I most likely won't be reading the second book in this story.
This book is for others that enjoy retellings but aren't super huge fans of the original itself like myself. I feel like having such a deep love can make this book hard to like when I have already read so many other versions as well.
I love a good reimagining and this one doesn't disappoint. The story of Alice and her Wonderland men is full of intrigue and plenty of spice with a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more immediately. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and finished in about 4hrs of straight reading. If you're an Alice in Wonderland fan give it a read. You haven't seen the characters like you'll see them in this book. I received an advance review copy for free and I'm leaving this review completely voluntarily.
An interesting take on the classic Alice in Wonderland tale. This is a dark twisted version of the story with an Alice who embraces her sexual feminity and her Hatter, Cheshire, Rabbit and the Jabberwocky who will do everything to protect her.
Alice had a pleasant upbringing until her 13th birthday when a strange man shrouded in darkness comes to her window and takes her away to Wonderland. Alice is there for a year but when she returns her mentality is no longer the same and she ends up spending 4 years in an Institution until she turns 18 when she is left a key to return to Wonderland.
This book was fast paced, written in third POV, it's an interesting story and I loved the odd touches to the original story.
I have been struggling to find a book that I love with my whole heart lately, and this one was no different.
While I absolutely loved the take on Alice in a Wonderland I’m not sure I was a fan of her going back to the place that once caused her so much pain and misery. With that being said, her story was absolutely insane and her men slowly grew to be incredible.
I loved that each of the guys had their own storyline and connection to Alice, it was easy to tell them apart and didn’t feel like she favored one over the other.
Overall a great start to a rather dark twist of a fairytale. I can’t wait to read book two in the series.
This dark, twisted fairy tale is the adult version of the fairy tale you knew growing up. The characters are dark and twisted, and the plot is delicious and sexy. Once you start this book, you will go down the rabbit hole. I didn't put it down until I finished it's that good. We are left with a cliff hanger and it's so frustrating. I need more right now lol. It does give me something to look forward to that period I highly recommend this one.
