Cursed by Athena for a crime she didn't commit, Medusa is condemned to a life of loneliness. Forever cut off from the rest of the world, she retreats to a small, desert island with only her two sightless servants as company. She longs for the day a "hero" will arrive to finally slay her, if only to end her agonizing existence. Many have tried. All have failed. None ever tried to win her heart.
Perseus may just be that hero to succeed. Aided by Athena in his quest to destroy the horrible monster, he washes up on the shore of Medusa's island prison. None of the gods assisting him prepared him for the reality. Medusa might carry the same name as the monster, but he does not see the hideous creature. He sees a lonely, frightened, and tormented woman. Winning her heart might be his undoing.
