Wow. Just wow. I have been reading a lot of Jada’s works and have seen how much she has grown as an author and this boxed set TRULY is an example of her growth as a storyteller/author. She wrote a very compelling story with complex characters, many unexpected plot twists and turns and made some TRULY brave choices as far as the storyline is concerned; choices that would definitely NOT be popular, but were used as plot points to spin the story in completely unexpected directions. Choices that another author might not have the courage to have made because they would be unpopular.
I loved this series. My only complaint were some minor grammatical issues typos which obviously belong to her editor.
I wasn't sure if I would stick with the whole series of books but glad I did and got to know all the players in this world. Having been fascinated with the works of Tolkien from my teens, I found this world and the struggles as fascinating as those.
Loved the concept of recycled Sages, it keeps the realm more interesting. Just wish there wasn't so much repetition/rehashing of past things, I found myself skipping to hurry up and get to the next part.
A bit long winded & predictable. Lots of typing errors which is annoying & off putting. But some interesting imaginative characters, lots of magic, war, good v evil.
