Tielle- Didn't finish. The writing was off. Wasn't edited enough. Patrice- DNF. Too many issues with story. J. C. Wilder- DNF. R. Casteel- DNF. Alicia- DNF. Start had her in too much head space. Last one, didn’t finish either.
By Moon Rise - Tielle St. Clare - 3.5 stars I have read this one three times now and it's sequel First Moon Rise twice. Caitlin's boss, Luc, is a werewolf. They are staying in a hotel on their way north for Luc's bonding ceremony arranged by his Alpha. The hotel has just been put into quarantine and the full moon is approaching. To stop Luc from turning into his wolf, Caitlin, who is secretly in love with her boss, will have to go above and beyond the call of duty.
Dream Walker - Patrice Michelle. 3 stars This one is a sci-fi/time travel/shapeshifter story. It's ok.
One Night Stand - J.C. Wilder - 3 stars Vampire/paranormal Quick.
Tail of the Tiger - R. Casteel - 1 star This story is not my thing. Basically this guy inherits everything from the father he hates...the father was a wack job. Only he finds out that he's not exactly the guys son. He heads of to an island that the father used for his experiments and finds two of the "experiments" still living on the island. They are basically half sisters. This story is weird. It basically ends up as a ménage story.
Dragon's Law: Mace by Alicia Sparks - 2 stars This is a bit of a strange story because I think it could have been better if it were longer. As is it's hard to really be convinced of why, how, what of Mace's attitude, motivation and decisions. It's all just a bit crazy. Two dragons seemingly fight over a sacrificial maiden, the winning dragon is injured. The dragon's are actually shape-shifters. The maiden attempts to help heal the injured dragon/man but he seems to think she is trying to deceive him and is actually a spy sent by his brother. Despite this he falls for her and her for him.
Taming Jack by Angela Knight - 2.5 stars
Jack's sister is raped and murdered. He's a cop and three weeks after the murder he is angered that there has been no break on the case. His boss has him step down because he is hindering the case. He seemingly disappears and six months later his girlfriend is dreaming about him and missing him. Turns out he's taking out bad guys in a very different way and needs her help.
I really enjoyed the first 3 stories - By Moon Rise, Dream Walker, and One Night Stand. I'll be looking up other novels by those authors. Tail of the Tiger was just too weird for me with the halflings. Dragon's Law: Mace was really rushed and the plot passed by too fast. Taming Jack didn't stand out and was just average. But an enjoyable read overall.
