I read this crime novel in a Greek translation because ordering the English original would take an amount of time and I wanted to get familiar with Adam Baron's prose whose seminar on the British Council I will attend today and for the rest of this week. I liked the book. I did not like the swearing and cynical moral climate which reminded me of that most cynical of movies "London Boulevard" a kind of modern remake of "Get Carter". But the climate was very well conveyed, the sub story of a football club president coming from an ethnic minority background convincing and the reversals in the plot interesting. It is a good book on a genre I find mildly interesting.

3rd book read in matter of months. Love how Adam Baron writes. Gave this five stars as I love the series but it's my least favorite of the 3 I've read. Starting the 4th Billy Rucker book and can't seem to find anymore. Would love his series to continue, feel like I have become involved in Billy Rucker's world and would love for it to continue. I love a book that goes into detail in the main characters life, I feel like I'm living right along side with them and this series of books has certainly made this happen.

The fundamental interconnectedness of all things

Another beautifully constructed piece. Loses one star compared with the first two books in the series because the author's tight, spare, adverb-free style slips a couple of times, and the complexity occasionally strains the imagination. But still a strong offering.

I really like this series of books and the thinking behind them. I really feel I know Billy Rucker now. Have already started novel number four and hope there will be many more. A great read.

This the third book in the Billy Rucker series and is an excellent private eye read. In these books you get a great feel for the glitzy and gritty London and the feeling that all the characters are people you know in your day to day life. It’s a really excellent down to earth deceive/who done it novel.

You will not be disappointed 
