Fox Hollow is a town, that misfit shifters who didn’t fit with their own kind founded as a haven. Later, a cluster of psychics arrived and set up their own parapsychology department at the local University. The main rule for living there is "Don't Eat Your Neighbor". I'm not especially crazy about "shifter" books but I am really, really crazy about Mogan Brice...so I finally decided to try this series. I have become fond of the character's internal wolves that never fail to give them advise...especially about hurrying up and claiming their soul mates. These two had to go very careful since they had been soul mates for several past generations and if they wanted to continue their reincarnations together, they would need to be sure that the curse that had been put on them several reincarnations ago, was broken for good. This took the help from several of Fox Hollow's witches. It's full of tension, danger, humor, chemistry and romance. A wonderful addition to the series with great characters and a fabulous ending.

I received a free copy to read and review for Wicked Reads.

This is the second book in the series and I think you would enjoy this book more if you read the series in order.

Written in Dual POV we have Noah who was kidnapped and Drew who rescued him. These two took their relationship slow and sometimes I felt it was too slow. There was a lot of action in the book but I also felt that the focus wasn't always on the couple. For two individuals who find out they were soul mates, literal soul mates, I wanted more steam and passion. While the story was good I just didn't connect with Drew and Noah like I wanted to.

I wanted to love it so much more but alas.

I liked Drew I the first book and warmed quickly to Noah... but... for a book about their romance I felt as if they were hardly ever together. I didn't care for their phone sessions, I instead would have loved to see them romance one another more. They are supposed to be a true pairing after all but acted as if they were just two random people. I would have thought that they would embrace that fact fully from the beginning and Noah, as a wildlife photographer and videographer did not have to go life somewhere else. He could have easily just taken a trip to shoot some spectacle and just as easily have come across the poacher. I have to admit that I started skipping some random conversations in the middle with whoever as they did nothing to advance the plot. What I enjoyed were the inner monologues with their animal spirits as well as the times Drew and Noah actually spent time together. I didn't mind them taking it slow, because why rush if you have a lifetime together. I think the story would have been better had Noah stayed in town and for the scenes to show them dating instead of what we got in the middle. It was hard to get in the love headspace when you jump weeks and months forward just hearing them talk or think about what they did together instead of experiencing everything with them.
In general I really enjoy Morgan Brice's writing and how the characters aren't stereotypical molds. Just because one is a wolf doesn't mean that the guy must be a dominant top, or that a certain fox is a helpless flower just because he is a wee bit twinky... the face of the huntsman would beg the differ 🐾🐾🦊

On to the next in the series.

Again is part of Morgan Brice’s Fox Hollow Zodiac series. It takes place immediately following the events in book 1, Huntsman. Noah, a lynx shifter, is one of the shifters captured by the huntsman. Drew, a wolf shifter, is chosen to help Noah through his recovery. Despite the seriousness of the situation, Noah and Drew are immediately attracted to each other. Their animal halves know they are fated mates. There is another connection Noah and Drew share that adds a lot to the story. In Morgan Brices’s shifter stories the animal half and the human half are like two separate beings in one body. They communicate with each other. Their interactions are often humorous and break up the tension a bit. Noah’s lynx plays a big role in Again. Drew’s brother Russ and his mate Liam, the mc’s from book one also play a big role in this book. For this reason, I suggest reading Huntsman first. I highly recommend the Fox Hollow Zodiac series and all of Brice’s books in the Fox Hollow universe.

3.5 stars, rounded to a 4.

‘Again’ is book 2 in Morgan Brice’s new series. I have not read book 1 and while there are lots of references to the Huntsman having kidnapped Noah, I was able to read it as a standalone without much issue. However, I would recommend going back and starting with book 1 for the background information, as well as Drew’s brother’s story. The book begins with Noah in the hospital after the events of book 1. Drew is helping to look after him as he’s in a strange town. They immediately realize they’re fated mates but both don’t say anything as it’s too soon after Noah’s capture to act on. I am a big fan of shifter, fated mate books. This one was new for me that the fated mates acknowledge what they are to each other but still date like regular humans and are always questioning with their friends and their inner monologue if they’ll end up together, that it’s too serious more than the most basic intimacy and carry on a long distance relationship. I liked this different approach for the most part. The added part of the story of them being a true pairing was really well done, with bits of memories surfacing as dreams. What I am more surprised about is how much of the book they spend apart. Outside of chapter 1, they aren’t in the same room as each other until almost 80% of the way through the book. The action/suspense part of the story was well done, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time rooting for them both as Noah and Drew are both likeable characters. The first half of the book kinda dragged for me, and I wasn't all that invested until Noah inadvertently witnesses the murder. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I love returning to the Fox Hollow setting; the world that the author has built here is robust and truly feels like coming home with its welcoming residents and accepting culture. This time the focus is on Drew who is the brother of Russ, one of the main characters from The Huntsman, book one in the series, and Noah, a shifter who was visiting the area when the big drama went down in book one.

In the expected manner of a fated mates story, the two are quickly drawn to each other but have a few issues to work out. The main one is Noah living in another country, and a more secondary one is the amount of time he spends away from home for his job. The two do make it work, though that does mean that for a large portion of the story they are apart so their interactions are mostly over the phone, computer, and such. That doesn’t stop them from a more intimate relationship though ;-)

The suspense of the chase as Noah tries to evade a tracker (who of course is not a good guy) does keep the drama level high through most of the second half of the story. I could definitely empathize with Drew feeling helpless to do anything to rescue Noah.

Personally, I would have liked to have had more details about certain aspects of Noah getting to Fox Hollow at the climax of the chase (I want to be more specific here but doing so would give spoilers), and definitely would have wanted more time with Drew and Noah together in person as they got to know each other (no, not the naughty stuff—though I’d never complain about more of that LOL). As it is though, the story does give a complete look at their relationship and the depth of their connection as a true pairing.

Again was a 4-star read for me, and was a great addition to the Fox Hollow series. It’s meant for readers 18+ for adult language and sexual content, and I would recommend reading The Huntsman first to understand the bit of backstory there is for both Noah and Drew from the events that happened in that book.

Story - 5 Stars
Narration - 3 stars

I enjoyed this action-packed, fast-paced, suspenseful story. It starts out with a rather slow-burn romance between Noah and Drew. Drew knows they are fated, but doesn't want to put pressure on Noah, because he was recently kidnapped. Eventually, they come to realize they are true/soul mates. But after Noah sees something he shouldn't while on a wildlife photo shoot, his life is in danger, and he is forced to go on the run. Can Drew and his friends in Fox Hollow find Noah in time to save him? And can Drew and Noah escape the curse that has followed them over several lives? This book was exciting and full of danger and tension. I was on the edge of my seat with worry for Noah. The hunters always seemed to be one step ahead of him. It was enough to leave me breathless. Although this is the second book in the Zodiac series, I think it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Regretfully, I found the narration disappointing. John Solo's narration is too soft-spoken, and even with my speakers turned all the way up, I strained to hear him, which distracted me completely from the story. Also, I didn't feel the suspense and worry while listening that I did when I read the eBook. Sorry to say. this is one audiobook I would skip in favor of reading the book myself.

I received a free audiobook review copy and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

So, Noah is one of the shifter's that was rescued from the huntsman. Drew & Noah know they are mates, but they are taking it slow. Noah is a wildlife photographer & does a lot of traveling for his job. Drew is a mechanic who has strong ties to Fox Hollow. Drew starts having dreams about two men who love each other over many lifetimes. He doesn't recognize them, but he knows in his heart that he does. Turns out that our MC's are actually soulmates & a curse has stopped them from living their lives to ripe old ages. In the meantime, Noah sees something he shouldn't, and he is on the run for his life. It was not easy for our MC's to get to their happy ending & at times, it didn't look like they were going to make it. I loved these guys & can't wait for more.

I received a copy of this book from the Author, and this is my honest opinion.

This was a fast-paced, thrilling audiobook, even though I missed the beginning. It wasn't very difficult to follow along, but I would recommend starting from the beginning because there are implications of the first.

Noah and Drew are how every couple should be, trustworthy and appreciative. Even though they were apart for the majority of the story, with little rendezvous here and there. But, their phone and video calls are fiery and alluring, allowing their long-distance work.

John Solo did an incredible job of bringing these characters to life, along with their animal form. The eagerness to capture each personally was astounding and mesmerized my attention throughout. The excitement and twists were chefs' kiss, too!

Noah and Drew were great characters and although there was a bit of build up in the beginning once things got going it was totally engaging. I enjoyed seeing them characters from the previous book, which really should be read first, they added so much to the story. All in all a nice addition to the series.

As you already know, I'm a big fan of Morgan Brice and I know all her amazing urban fantasy novels quite well, so obviously I am glad that "Fox Hollow Zodiac" series has also got its continuation. "Again" is the second full novel in the series, and at the same time it reveals a completely new element in the vast universe created by the author. There is a theme in "Again" that appears in Morgan Brice's works for the first time. In this way, we see that from novel to novel, the author's universe flourishes, expands, becomes enriched with something new. I really like it because we can see that the world created by Morgan Brice has not been fully explored yet and may surprise us at any moment. I remember as if it was yesterday when the author, writing as both Morgan Brice and Gail Z. Martin, started adding some new elements to her world. It really amazed and excited me. Right now I'm similarly thrilled and delighted. "Fox Hollow Zodiac" reveals so many new possibilities of the universe that I'm falling in love with it once again.

I'm sure that some people started to wonder what I mean exactly, so I will introduce you to this "new element", which I mention above. True pairing is the main reason behind this fuss. Lovers who are reborn in new bodies to be together again. To be even more precise, it is all about the reincarnation of souls who find each other again and again and are together until death, to be reborn again and relive their love story yet again, albeit at different times. What's interesting, true pairing is the main topic of "Again", so this novel we focus on a story about love that conquers time and death. I think it is an incredibly interesting theme that gives the author a lot of possibilities. What's more, as the universe of Morgan Brice, and thus Gail Z. Martin, includes both fated mates and true pairing, I suspect that the boundary between these two themes will be repeatedly emphasized and examined. I am happy because who knows what will come to the author's mind.

In my opinion, in "Again" love that beats time and death is not the only important theme, as friendship is equally essential. The author has managed to outline the story of Noah and Drew in such a way that the reader notices one significant and very clear difference between their lives now and those they had lived in the past. For when, while reading a novel, we reflect on what constitutes an advantage of our heroes over their past situation, friends immediately come to mind. I would add that this group also includes Russ, Drew's brother. Morgan Brice shows her readers excerpts from the memories of our main characters, their dreams, focusing on two lovers, and this is a stark contrast to their daily life, which is strongly marked by their loved ones, acquaintances and friends they can rely on. Friendship is one of the most important elements in the author's works and I am glad that in "Again" it occupies such a key place.

Reviewing "Again" I would like to highlight one more, important and unique element that characterizes the entire series of "Fox Hollow Zodiac", namely the shapeshifters. Although "Again" does not focus in any particular way on Fox Hollow and the community of this city (if you want to know more about these topics then you should read the Fox Hollow Zodiac short stories), in this volume we can notice a significant difference between the Morgan Brice series and so many other series on the market. Fox Hollow is a city inhabited not only by shapeshifting predators such as wolves, bears and bobcats. In this town we come across a moose, a dog, a goat and many other creatures. What's more, people with various magical abilities live and work next to the shifters. Simply put, Fox Hollow is a city of fantastic variety, which really deserves our appreciation.

In summary, "Again" is a novel that is clearly different from the previous volume in the series, as well as from the author's other novels. This story not only introduces new characters and allows us to better get to know the ones we have already met, but above all it gives us the opportunity to discover completely new secrets of Morgan Brice's universe. This is a must read to fans of the author, people who have a weakness for shapeshifters, as well as anyone who wants to go on a great, interesting adventure.

______________________________

A obok nich mieszkają i pracują osoby o przeróżnych magicznych zdolnościach.

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5

A heart-pounding, thrilling story, even better in audio!

John Solo is one of my favorite audiobook performers and he did a great job performing this story. I read the book with my eyes just over a year ago and loved it then. I got to love it all over again while listening to this fantastic audiobook. Below is the review I wrote when I first read the book.

A heart-pounding, thrilling story!

It’s been nearly two years since I read the first book in the Fox Hollow Zodiac series and I loved it. Fortunately, there have been several novellas related to this world that I’ve been able to read in the space between Again and Huntsman.

I love how Morgan Brice gives you enough information so that if you haven’t read the first book, or if it’s been a while like it’s been for me, you won’t feel lost if you start with Again. I really recommend all of the books in this series, though, because they are so good.

Fox Hollow is a town full of all different kinds of shifters living in harmony with each other. It’s kind of a refuge for shifters who may not have anywhere else to go. There are also witches, psychics and people with other unusual abilities living in the town.

We met Noah and Drew briefly in Huntsman and now Again gives us their fated-mates story. The blurb does a good job of giving you the basics of the story. I can only add that this book had my heart beating faster in many places due to the adventure and danger happening. It also got all of my emotions involved and I laughed and I cried while reading it.

If you like thrilling adventures, with a paranormal cast of characters, I don’t think you can go wrong with this book/series.

A copy of this book was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

2.5☆ rounded up because I'm not an asshole and that's how math works 🤣 Also, ugh. I enjoyed the first book in this series and REALLY enjoyed Haven, so this was a huge disappointment. Partly because the storytelling was so fucking redundant, and partly - a LARGE part - because the characters were on page together for less than 20% of the book. the first chapter was sort of a prequel that overlapped the events in Book 1, then they're apart and barely in communication with each other. other than some phone sex which I skimmed because it was repetitive and dint really advance the story (a.k.a. "boring"), and then they FINALLY are in page and interacting again at 88%... which is halfway through THE FINAL CHAPTER. Then an epilogue which is also half sex, and literally nothing in the sotey that was surprising. I didn't even care for the past life cameos, and ended up skipping most of them tbh. Annnywayyyy.... this one may have been a disappointment, but I've enjoyed the author's other books and will definitely check out more. The overall rating on this one is high, so clearly it hit the right notes for other readers, just not me 🤷‍♀️

Kissing not fighting like cats and dogs

Again - Huntsman 2

Morgan Brice

Fox Hollows is a mythical town, that misfit shifters who didn’t fit with their own kind founded as a haven. Later, a cluster of psychics arrived and set up their own parapsychology department at the local Uni.

One rule amongst the mix of predators and pray; 'don't eat your neighbour', and it's kept the menageries of shifters safe and happy for years.

In the previous book, Drew's older brother Russ rescued his fox mate Liam from the Huntsman, and Drew met lynx shifter Noah during the rescue.

His wolf insisted they were mates.

Three months later, Drew and Noah are in a long distance relationship as Noah continues to travel for his photography job.

It's out on a photo shoot that Noah suddenly finds himself in danger, out in the wild; pursued by a cryptid trophy hunter.

We have the sense of danger but prior to that, we have the fun stuff, as well as it being sprinkled through the narrative.

Noah arguing with his lynx - who basically speaks in his head like a giant house cat - is very funny. Especially as the cat denies that the squeaky toys are toys; insisting instead, that they're prey for practice.

I love the fact that the local cafe is Bear Necessities Café, and it's run by a bear shifter couple, with Jack the possum shifter being the experimental baker of random donut flavours.

We meet him in an early Fox Hollows novella, Trash and Treasure.

The diversity of shifters and psychic powers as well as 'day jobs' in the Fox Hollows universe is wonderful, and reading about the town and it's beauty makes me want to visit. Not really possible - it's a mythical town set in the real world - but gosh it's wonderful to read about and immerse yourself in it.

Other elements that add to world are Mutt (an adorably cute and silly German Shepherd shifter), Farrah and the Fox theatre that Liam works at and the things like the fire station fundraiser, which cements the paranormal stories in a concrete setting.

Once the main story kicks off, the action and drama kick off, and doesn't stop until the finale.

And this one is my favourite of the lot.

It's full of tension, danger, humour, chemistry and romance.

The back story and some of the things we discover are fantastic - and I won't spoil it for you.

A tremendous book, great characters and a fabulous ending.

Wonderful and heart warming.

Ebook Review
Story ❤️❤️❤️
Characters ❤️❤️❤️
Overall ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Morgan Brice's books are always a joy to read, especially because she crafts her stories beautifully with romance and a blend of paranormal ✌.ʕʘ‿ʘʔ.✌. After loving her work in The Badlands which are awesome series and highly recommended ( ▼∀▼)ノ, I just thought to try The Fox Hollow Zodiac series. This series is a blend of urban fantasy elements mixed in with paranormal and the stories revolve around shifters living in the place (a sorta safe haven for shifters) named Fox Hollow. I would recommend reading book 1 The Hunstman though, as this book picks from where the events of the previous book concluded, including an incident with "The Huntsman", who was kidnapping shifters.

After the captured shifters were rescued and brought back to Fox Hollow to recover, we meet our MCs Drew, a wolf shifter ૮ ˆﻌˆ ა, and Noah, a lynx shifter (=ↀωↀ=). Noah was one of the captured shifters and he is assigned to Drew to help him recover from his injuries. What the two never expected was the sudden intense attraction they will have for each other. But, Drew understands that Noah has to recover and no matter how much his wolf fusses over claiming him as his mate (the banter between Drew and his wolf is super hilarious ▽・ェ・▽ノ”), Drew is adamant about Noah's recovery before making his next move. Noah also feels the tug towards Drew and finally living in close quarters brings them together. From here on begins their journey of discovering new aspects of being mates and deciding on whether to be in a long-distance relationship (Noah is Canadian and a wildlife photographer) or stay together.

These characters are shifters but their shifter side has been shown as a separate entity. They communicate and disagree with sometimes funny outcomes, but all in all the bond between the human and animal sides is strong. Drew’s brother Russ also a wolf shifter, and his mate Liam a fox shifter, MCs of book 1 also play a solid supporting role in this book. All in all, it's a good read with all the interesting intrigue in true Morgan Brice storytelling style (´♡‿♡`).

🎧Audiobook Review🎧
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Performance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(⭐️)
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Again" is the second book in a new series by Morgan Brice. I started directly with the second book and I was able to read it standalone without any problems. However, since there are some allusions to the first volume, I recommend starting with the first volume - I'm going to get volume one as well because I'm interested in Drew's brother's story.
Noah and Drew meet in the hospital after the events of the previous volume, and they sense that they have more than attraction in common. They are fated mates.
I thought it was sweet how level-headed their relationship began. Over all, I really liked Noah and Drew from the beginning. They are respectful of each other and make a really great couple. What was surprising was the fact that they are apart for most of the book, but I think the story still worked great. As it is with long distance relationships, you just have to have more phone calls and video calls and they can be very sexy.
When Noah sees something during his job that wasn't meant for his eyes, he has to flee. But his opponents are close on his heels. Drew's hands are tied, unfortunately, because he doesn't know Noah's whereabouts. The question is whether the help from Hollow Fox can be there in time.
I highly recommend this story. Noah and Drew are really sweet with each other, there are surprising twists, it gets exciting and even when I thought the rescue was close enough, things still happened that amazed me.
This entertaining audiobook was narrated by John Solo, who did a good job. I could tell the protagonists apart well and the emotions were also easy to relate to as a listener.
I'm looking forward to the next volume, which I hope will be out soon!

I received a copy for an honest review.

I really like Morgan Brice's stories but this one seemed a little rushed and incomplete. This is the story of Noah (Lynx Shifter) and Drew (Wolf Shifter). Drew is Russ' younger brother from the first book in the series Huntsman. Noah was the other captive held with Liam. Drew is assigned as a liaison to Noah while he recovers in Fox Hollow. They quickly realize that they are fated mates and being a long distance relationship when Noah returns to his job as a wildlife photographer after he recuperates. Noah stumbles upon a murder of a cryptid while on a shoot by an exotic entertainment hunter and his guide, and so begins the chase. Both Drew and Noah have dreams about past lives with each other, most ending badly, and realize that they have been reincarnating, finding each other to only lose one another in tragic deaths. Drew goes on a mission to figure out their past connection and the reason why their tragedies continue to follow them.

The story gets resolved too quickly with too many loose threads.

***SPOILER
We find out that they were cursed in a past life by a sham wizard who bungled the spell and tied their fates together into a tragedy, but we are never told exactly why. I would guess it was jealousy but it's still vague.

Noah evades his pursuers for a long time but is eventually critically injured. He is rescued in the nick of time and the guide captured. We later learn that the guide was the reincarnation of the wizard. He is tried by the Supernatural Tribunal but that's it. We don't really get to hear about the proceedings and his reasons for doing what he did.

I really like the world building in the Fox Hollow books. The curious little town in the Adirondacks with the super tight knit community of supernatural residents is fantastic. Again is the second full-length Fox Hollow Zodiac book. It can work as a standalone, but I'd absolutely recommend reading the first novel and other novellas set in this universe. Here, we have Drew, already a Fox Hollow resident, in a fight both against human and supernatural forces to ensure he and his fated mate, Noah (wildlife photographer from Ottawa), get their HEA.

The plot is a decent one which allows for cameos from some of the townsfolk we've met before…as well as some other easter eggs. Drew and Noah are sympathetic MCs. I particularly like that Noah is independent and committed to finishing his work projects even though it means being away from Drew after they acknowledge their mating bond…and that Drew is supportive of him. Both men’s shifter counterparts are entertaining, too - Noah's lynx and Drew’s wolf are sassy, vocal and 'ahem' clearly know best.

As I said, the storyline is really solid with an interesting added twist on the fated mates trope, but where this book loses a star for me is the pacing in the first half as it does plod along in places in the first half, but once you hit a certain point the pace really picks up, leading to a satisfying ending and sweet epilogue. So it's 4* overall from me for Again.

“Again” by Morgan Brice is the second book in the ‘Fox Hollow Zodiac’ series, and picks up where “Huntsman” ends, as the former victims start to recover from their ordeal. Drew Lowe is supporting Noah Wilson, and despite their animal shapes being potential enemies, they decide to explore the connection they feel almost from the start. When Noah is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, danger mounts, and Drew discovers the glimpses of couples he’s been dreaming of have more significance than he ever dreamed of, they must find a way to break a terrible cycle if they’re going to survive to explore their attraction.

This exciting adult gay paranormal romance continues to give more insight into the inhabitants of Fox Hollow and the challenges they face. I was immediately drawn into the story and invested in the journey for these guys. I love that the characters from the previous story are also important in this one even as we get to know Drew and his wolf and Noah and his lynx. The tension mounts even as the mystical elements complicate matters, and I couldn’t help but root for the guys to find their happy ever after, despite them being from different countries and having different species as their alter egos. This is a fun addition to the series, and I hope there will be even more stories about the residents of Fox Hollow.

This is the second book in the series, and I think you would enjoy this book more if you read the series in order.

Written in dual points of view, we have Noah who was kidnapped and Drew who rescued him. These two took their relationship slow and sometimes I felt it was too slow. There was a lot of action in the book, but I also felt that the focus wasn't always on the couple. For two individuals who found out they were soul mates, literal soul mates, I wanted more steam and passion. While the story was good, I just didn't connect with Drew and Noah like I wanted to.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Review Copy of this book.

Noah has survived being captured by by the Huntsman, but he never thought such a traumatic experience would lead him to his mate. Drew went to rescue his brother's mate from the Huntsman, not expecting he would potentially find his own. When Noah finds himself in danger again, will Drew be able to rescue him again?

Part of my issue with this story is we get very little of Drew and Noah actually together. There are moments where you could really see their connection, but it wasn't enough togetherness for me. There was a lot of action and a lot of energy in the story. I liked the past lives element, but wish there had been just a touch more. I really liked Noah's lynx (honestly my favorite character). There were some glimpses of characters we've seen in other stories, and I always enjoy that in the Morgan Brice (and Gail Z Martin) stories. I did enjoy the story and think it's a nice addition to the Fox Hollow stories.

I highly recommend reading Huntsman before reading this story. There are other stories in the Fox Hollow series that can offer background as well.

I loved the first book in this series, and this story is a great continuation of Drew and Noah’s story. I also enjoyed catching up with the rest of the Fox Hollow inhabitants and references to characters from the author’s wider world.

I enjoyed the differences between Drew and Noah, and that their animal side is a wolf and lynx, and how that compares to a dog and cat hooking up. I loved the inner banter with their animals and how opinionated they are. I liked how these two grow a friendship as well as a relationship, and the family/found family vibe with Drew, Russ, and how Liam is now a part of that. I liked Rob and his friendship with Noah. I hope we see more of him.

I liked how the events in the first story tied into this one. The way the townsfolk all work together to save Noah and take down his pursuer is wonderful, yet tense. I liked how what happens has very real consequences, and that finding him doesn’t mean the danger is over.

The reincarnation plot is nicely done with a twist, and I enjoyed the peeks at their previous lives too. I guessed who the hackers is that Austin contacts for help, and loved the confirmation in the author notes at the end of the book.

I thought this story was a satisfying read. Once I picked it up I didn’t want to put it down and had to make sure Noah and Drew got their HEA.

This is the second book of the Fox Hollow Zodiac series. You should really read book #1 first. You can enjoy this book as a standalone but it will take you a while to work out who everybody is and their relationships. This is the story of Drew and Noah. Noah is a wildlife photographer and a lynx shifter. When we first meet him, he is in the hospital recovering from his capture and abuse by The Huntsman. Drew is a wolf shifter and he has been assigned to be Noah's buddy while he is recovering. All the rescued shifters are in a strange town with no family, friends or support system. So the town Fox Hollow decided to give them a buddy for support. Immediately Drew's wolf is telling him that Noah is his mate. But since Noah has been through so much, Drew first becomes a friend. They slowly develop their relationship. When Noah goes back to Canada to work, they have a long distance relationship. But then trouble rears its head. Their strength and faith in one another is put to the test. Poaching, attempted murder and curses. They both have a lot to work through. This is their story. It is a well written book that is easy to read. I enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next one in Fox Hollow.

I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

I loved this book and the encore of the characters of Fox Hollow. The book was action packed with a unique storyline. The book was different from most of the fated mate romances that I typically read. The main characters were together in the prologue, but then from chapter one through the vast majority of the book the main characters were separated. The book had plenty of action and amazing cameos from several of my favorite Fox Hollow characters. I can't wait for more from this world. However with this story despite it being very well written I was hoping for something more. Most of the book seemed like dreams that were all over the place and not making a lot of sense at the time. Once you read the book the dream storyline makes a lot more sense. I do wish that there was more steam and that for the characters to have their chances a lot sooner. This was despite the few weaknesses an excellent and well told story. the adventure of finding and saving Noah was actually good. I also loved the dynamic between Drew and Russ. The support and brotherly love were great. So this was not what I was expecting but as with all Fox Hollow books this is still well worth the read and a great paranormal tale. Definitely check this one out.

Another solid entry from Morgan Brice!

"Again" is the "direct" sequel to "Huntsman" and in a number of ways I enjoyed it a bit more than the previous entry. This story takes more of a "Most Dangerous Game" meets "Fox Hollow" approach as Noah must find his way back to Fox Hollow and his boyfriend, Drew, while being pursued by a cryptid hunter. The resulting pursuit turns into a thrilling tale as Noah must outsmart the hunter and Drew and the other Fox Hollow residents work to assist Noah.

There's even a fairly solid reason for Noah's bad "luck", so to speak, which leads to a fairly compelling subplot involving Drew and Noah. I'm also continuing to enjoy the inner dialogues the main characters have with their shifter alter egos - it's an interesting approach and one that makes for some unusual comedy in that Drew is a wolf shifter and Noah a lynx shifter. Mixed marriage of a sort, I suppose?

I was somewhat skeptical with the first Fox Hollow book but Brice has built out an intriguing world since then with "Imaginary Lover", "Haven", and now this story. And it even ties in well to her other books. I'm curious to see where she goes from here in this corner of her imagination.

Another true mate tale from gifted author Morgan Brice. This time a strong connection exists between Drew, a wolf shifter, and Noah, who turns into a lynx.

Noah escaped the clutches of the Huntsman, who was hired to capture shifters and sell them to the highest bidder. Noah was terrified and traumatized but survived. He became friends with Drew while recuperating in Fox Hollow, a safe haven for all shifters. While on a camera shoot for his job, Noah is once again in serious danger.

While the tale was enjoyable, many unique paranormal occurrences were thrown at the reader. A few I felt were glossed over, and I would have loved more depth—especially the mythical creature, which I will leave for the reader to discover. Even for paranormal fantasy, it at times made me think no way this could happen. However, Ms. Morgan is an excellent writer, and the book has many fun qualities. Drew and Noah were sweet together, and that dominated throughout the book. They had amazing chemistry, which made the story enjoyable.

If you love paranormals, where anything is possible, you will want to enter the world of Fox Hollow with its eclectic townspeople.

Audio: 5 Stars

Story: I found the "long distance" issue a NON issue, especially for someone who has to travel anyway for work. Noah also constantly complains about no mobile signal....which is kind of stupid because these nature photographers usually use satellite phones since they have to be in remote areas. Therefore, I found that maybe this was a lack of education from the author's end and a lazy "angst" source. Then Noah's even talking to his ex? Call block anyone? I did enjoy the story but felt that the author just uses "lazy" ways to create angst. I did not enjoy that most of the romance is spent separately which is not necessary as previously stated. They are fated  mates.....when is it too soon to be together? Is better to at least try a relationship full-on and discover together instead of wasting time, taking it slow. Maybe IRL that is the way to go, but not in "mates" fiction. It felt that these are just two random people sexting. It was hard to get in the love/romance/relationship headspace when the book is constantly time jumping just hearing them talk or thinking about what they did together instead of sharing the experience with them. It is not a horrible story but lacks actual romance. On to the next adventure, Happy Readings!!!

Action-packed (an audio review)

Morgan Brice books often have action, but there are also downtimes. I suppose this book has moments of pause as well, but for most of the book, when in Noah’s point-of-view, there’s action. Noah and Drew also, necessarily, spend a lot of time apart. But their relationship grew through other means, which satisfied the romantic in me.

Noah and Drew met in the last Fox Hollow book, but Noah had to head back to Canada to finish off his work. Nature photography assignments which have, until now, been safe. Well, he’s got to make certain his subjects don’t take him out, but he’s usually good. When he records a murder, though, he’s in big trouble. Even his lynx (he’s a shifter) can’t get him out of this mess unscathed.

Enter Drew and all his friends. They head out to try to find Noah before the master tracker and his friends take out the witness permanently.

All adventure and tension and good stuff with a nice romantic happy ending. Just the way I like my stories.

I also liked the past lives intertwined fated mates destiny plot. An interesting addition that fit the story well and kept me engaged.

Finally, I always enjoy John Solo’s narration and he did a great job with this one. Looking forward to more Fox Hollow books!

I really love the Fox Hollow world the author created and Again is a great addition to it.

The idea of soulmates, meeting over the centuries to become mates is a new twist to the fated mate setting and Drew and Noah are a great couple. They have chemistry and their relationship is not the often typical "lt's bite and be mates" 10 minutes after meeting.

The suspense storyline is also intriguing and keeps the reader on the hook in addition to the curse they have to lift. Drew's wolf and Noah's lynx are great side characters and their interaction with their human side entertaining.
Can't wait for the next book, I do hope for lots more Fox Hollow to come.

Spoiler alert:
What brings the book down for me and hence the 4* only is the fact that the majority of the relationship is a distant one, Noah's struggle and Drew's concerns about his welfare are well written but they are apart, not together. I don't think I read a book with such a set-up before and while I love the story, that part was a downer for me. I would have loved seeing the two together a lot more, having the showdown together instead of so distant.
