Talaya Richmond is content with her life as a social care worker in London where nobody knows her father was a notorious serial killer. The notion that nefarious tendencies could be passed via DNA still haunts her, but she’s determined to build a new life, one where pain and despair are distant memories. A meeting with billionaire oilman and infamous playboy, Ridge Donovan, should have been routine. Instead, it opens a door to dark desires she never knew she possessed.
CEO to Donovan Oilwell UK, Ridge Donovan believes he’s back on track after his mother’s death two years ago. New house, new car, new position—all things he’d made an easy transgression toward, but the one thing he’s determined to hold on to is his never-lose-his-heart mantra. That is, until Talaya Richmond interrupts his morning routine with claims of a paternity suit and an undeniable sensuality that incites his deepest cravings.
Old secrets…
While intent on unraveling the tale spun by a previous one-night-stand, Ridge is drawn closer to the alluring Talaya and the haunting pain in her eyes. When he learns Talaya is a murder suspect, instead of walking away—because their bond over shared trauma has become unbreakable—Ridge whisks her away to the safety of Sansonique, his family’s private island. Amidst the pristine beauty of the Caribbean, two headstrong strangers struggle to make peace with their past demons, prepare for a confrontation with a killer and embrace a passion that just might destroy them.

Another great story featuring The Donovans. Ridge and Talaya were both broken and met at the perfect time. As always, this story was full of suspense and well worth the read.
Ooo-weee! The Donovans are back with a fierce romantic suspense centered around Ridgely ”Ridge” Donovan and his love interest, Talaya Richmond. Ridge, a UK native, is the CEO of Donovan Oilwell- UK. I’ll just say that Talaya has her reasons for moving to the UK to begin a new life as a social worker. They are two characters who have some deep-seated issues. Ridge is trying his best to hold it together with the help of frequent visits to The Corporation. You’ll have to read the story to discover what The Corporation is all about. Talaya is trying to hold it together with daily affirmations, medication and therapy. In spite of all of their problems, they are the perfect couple. Chemistry is off-the-charts. From the first time Talaya shows up unexpectedly at Ridge’s house, you know they are going to be a hot couple! That’s only one aspect of this multi-layered story. If you are familiar with the Donovans, you know they can be a a little dysfunctional. However, when someone threatens them or someone they love, they close ranks and use every resource at their disposal to protect whoever is in trouble. Trust me, fans, Talaya was in trouble. Her issues, resulting in PTSD, stem from her family that fell apart when she was a teenager. Just wait until you discover what happened to her prominent family, and how Talaya had to climb from the depths of despair to reclaim her life. She is, indeed, a strong heroine, and the perfect match for Ridge who needs a Talaya in his life. I highly recommend RIDGE for your reading pleasure!
I FINALLY had time to sit down and read this masterful novel, and what a wonderful few hours I have spent.
Ridge is book three in the Donovan Dynasty series and WOW it was nothing I was expecting, but EVERYTHING I needed. Ridge is fighting demons, some inner demons and meets Talaya, who is fighting some MAJOR demons of her own. But it’s not love at first sight or even attraction that brings them together. Ridge may or may not have fathered a child and Talaya is serving him papers to terminate his parental rights. To say their first meeting was “interesting” is putting it mildly.
As the quest to find out about the paternity of the child ensues, other dangers soon arise. Women close to Talaya are being brutally murdered and Ridge’s fascination with the social worker leads him to being her protector, whether she wants his help or not.
To say this book throw curve balls is as understatement. The characters are deeply flawed but relatable. There are twists that I didn’t see coming, but were welcome and there’s a setup for a continued storyline in future books that I know I’m going to have to be patient for, but can’t wait to delve into.
Old friends and family from previous Donavan books make an appearance and we get a little glimpse of life in the Donavan world.
A.C. Arthur also brings back The Corporation, an adults only business that caters to every desire if one is willing to pay for the privilege and privacy.
I loved the book, the characters, the storyline, and the never ending belief that love does conquer all.
Ridgely (Ridge) Donovan: If, “middle child syndrome,” was a person it would be Ridge. He was caught up in his own head and it caused him a lot of issues.
Talaya Richmond: If, “runner,” was a person it would be Talaya. She had so much riding her that it made it easy for Talaya to be a trackstar.
Ridge: The Donovan Dynasty Book 3 was an awesome romantic suspense and it had us completely engaged from beginning to end. The characters were believable, realistic, and so easy to love. The suspense was very real. There were a lot of moving pieces in this story, which is something we love in a book. We don’t read suspense very much but this story has us feeling like we need to add more of them to our TBR.
Ridge and Talaya were perfect. They are the perfect example of two imperfect halves becoming a whole. I loved the dynamic between them. It was like an instalove that wasn’t instant at all lol. The tension between them was spicy and once the lights came on it was blinding. There was no point in the story when they were on page together or thinking about each other that it wasn’t hot and romantic. This story lacked nothing and has only made us crave more. This is a must read for sure.
I realize this is fiction but does something remotely like the Corporation and demonic killer clans exist in real life? If this fictional accounting had me on tenderhooks, imagine if we really had to worry about such occurrences with the evil this world has shown itself to be. Thankfully there is a Ridge and his entire clan that can assemble at almost a moment's notice to come to your aid in time of need! I never would have thought that a senator the tax payers pay to pass legislation to protect lives was taking them for sport! I understand why Talaya took the actions she did to distance herself from the deviance that was her father and his followers!! So much suspense and intrigue is packed into this story and for the life of me, I do not believe it is over yet! I enjoyed this installment and looking forward to what is next to come. You know that Donovan clan is always surrounded by some kind of drama and yes, they are very much here for it!!! Great story AC, A really, really great story! I am glad I plucked it off my TBR list.
I really enjoyed this story. Ridge and Talaya were two broken people who met under some unusual circumstances but couldn’t get the other off their minds even though the circumstance that lead to their meeting should have caused them to dislike each other. This couple needed each other and you could feel their bond from their past heartache and guilt over things that were either not their fault or were outside their control. I loved how they seemed to balance each other out and offered the encouragement and positive thoughts the other needed when they allowed thoughts about their past to influence their actions and thoughts. These two truly needed each other and it was destiny that they found each other.
This author did an excellent job on keeping my attention and kept me engaged with this couple. The breakdown of this book into parts helped with the flow and made it easier to follow the timeline of the story. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the books in the series.
This book may be part of a larger series, but it stands perfectly well on its own. I jumped in without any confusion, and it wrapped up with a satisfying, complete story. That being said, I can absolutely see myself diving headfirst into the rest of the series after this! The author knows how to strike the right balance with steamy scenes—there’s definite heat, but it’s never unnecessary or out of place. Every moment feels true to the characters and adds to their emotional journey.
Ridge and Talaya are such well-drawn characters with rich backgrounds, coming from very different lives before their paths cross. As their relationship develops, it feels organic and intense in all the best ways. Their chemistry? Off the charts! But it’s the depth of their connection that really pulled me in.
I have to admit, the supporting cast was just as intriguing, and now I’m curious about their stories. Looks like a Donovan binge-read might be in my future!
I love this book so much, it had so many turns it kept me on my toes the whole time I couldn’t put this book down.
Ridge feeling like he has to prove himself to his family touch my heart because I know what it’s like being the middle child and feeling over looked. When aunt Beverly was telling him how much his mother loved him I couldn’t stop crying.
Talaya came in like a racking ball, I so gladly she found Ridge, because she need someone strong to hold her up and help her through her grief.
This was a challengung story. Ridge is a generational wealthy guy. He is NOT looking for a serious relationship. That is why he has membership at The Corporation, an exclusive sex club. Ridge meets Talaya, a social worker, who's charged with determining his paternity of a baby girl put up for adoption.
That's when all the killing starts up again. And Talaya becomes their target. Leave it to Ridge to love & protect Saud woman. Which he does extremely well in his London hometown. I plan to read this complete series.
Both Ridge and Talaya both was what no one else could. Both broken and needed to be healed. Each thought they could do it in there own way when all her needed was each other. The trauma Talaya went thru was awful, the healing was kin and hard. Ridge trauma was the fear of not being good enough.
In the end the both found the healing needed separately and together. Good book.
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Ridge and Talaya had an instant attraction. Talaya has a dark past and Ridge is still grieving the death of his mum. Their connection is undeniable. This book has non stop intrigue, it’s crime drama at its finest with twists and turns. It was great catching up with the Donovan family. I look forward to the next installment.
I loved reading Ridge and Talaya’s story! These two were made for each other. They were two broken pieces. Once they got together, they were able to piece each other back together again. I’m so glad that Ridge believed in her. She had so much going on in her life, living in her father’s treacherous shadow. It’s a good thing that Ridge and the Donovan family took her in and protected her! I’m loving the Donovans!!! ❤️🔥
This book was intriguing about two people who had issues. Apart they were broken but together they were what each other needed. I liked bringing the Donovan family together for Thanksgiving and a wedding. This book was also a whodunit episode. With people dying all around you. The author did an excellent job keeping us guessing. This story is well written and I enjoyed it. Moving on to the Corporation. Read this book, you will not be disappointed.
You can’t have a Donovan book without twist and turns, drama, suspense and troubled souls. This is what this book held. Ridge was the epitome of a Donovan. He has the look, money, power, but a trouble soul. Then Talaya comes with that, I know your type, but looks can be deceiving. These two find themselves igniting flames, while danger is trying to come for one of them. This is a great read, and I do recommend this book.
This book was just so, Wow! Ridge and Talaya was just wonderful. Loved how you could feel the draw the two had for each other. Ridge the take charge no nonsense fighter; Talaya who you would think is meek, but don’t get fooled, because she’s a fighter too. Loved the bodyguards. I can’t and won’t tell it because you need to read the book. Loved this author
Just when I thought the Donovan Dynasty couldn't get any better AC gives us RIDGE ! This sexy whodunit grabbed and held my attention until the very end. I experienced quite a few I didn't see that coming but Arthur has once again shown me why I love her writing style. I can't wait to see what's next for the family called Donovan.
Never ever, have I been disappointed with anything by AC Arthur and Ridge was no different. Nothing like any of the previous Donovan books but all of the action that the others have. Oh the suspense with who Talaya really is, to who killed Renata and Cara and who little Khady's daddy was. Ridge is definitely a must READ, you will not be disappointed
OMG!!! What can you say about this book. From beginning to end Ridge, Talaya will keep you spellbound. You will experience every emotion while reading. Ridge and Talaya both have baggage that they are carrying around. Will they be able to fight through the baggage to find their happy ever after.
Hooked on this Story from the Beginning to the End
Ridge and Talaya’s chemistry and passion was off the charts. You could feel the combustible energy from the first time they met. Throw in all this killing, suspense and the Donovan family dynamics and this made the book awesome. This was my favorite out of the 3. Kudos to A.C. Arthur this amazing story.
Ridge….stubborn, an ass, entitled! But he couldn’t get Talaya off his mind! Had him “not thinking.” All he wanted to do was get to her. Talaya was not trying to be bothered with Ridge. Neither of them could believe their attraction! Ride along with these two head strong people and see who wins…
Ridge felt like the black sheep of the family... and in steps Ta wanting him to sign his rights away so a little girl can go to a good home but it's not his child and the killing begins and she is a suspect because of her Dad, everything is figured out and everyone is happy... I hope Aunt Birdie will be alright
I enjoyed reading this story I couldn't stop reading until I was finish. This was really an intriguing read. I would absolutely recommend reading this book to anyone who enjoy a mystery. Good job Ms. Arthur as usual it seems like this family is shrouded in intrigue and mystery love it.
I am happy that ridge and talaya finally found love and I hope you have thought of a book for suri because I want to now how she read about how she found the right person for her
Lord, this book was crazy. My mouth is still hanging open from the mysterious and connections. This was truly a Criminal Minds episode. I'm so ready for the next Donovan adventure.
Ridge and Talaya are the cutest couple. I loved reading about their adventure to arrive at their FOREVERMORE. The end threw me for a loop, but I loved it - I see you Mrs. Arthur. Now, I have to download all the rest of the Donovans and read their love journeys.
As usual A.C. Arthur delivers. This book had me spellbound and I couldn't put it down. Between trying to figure out who was the psycho and the steamy sex scenes, whew chile! I highly recommend this book and now I must read Suri.
Ridge and Talaya had some battles and issues from the past! But love prevailed! I love how this author combines mystery and romance. Also love the family bond!
