B.A. Rose is born and bred in New York. As a young child, she always had a vivid imagination. Getting her first library card led her to a love of reading as every story brought her to a new place.
Her interests swayed towards all things paranormal and as she grew up, romance. Eventually, it led to her writing paranormal romances.
She's a published author of The Ghost Convention, The Ghost Guest, and The Ghost Honeymoon, all part of The Daisy Sinclair Trilogy. Her newest series, The Silver Crescent Wolves is out as well.
When she isn't writing, she likes to listen to music, read, and spend time with friends and family.
She believes that imagination can take you everywhere and one should never lose their childlike exuberance for life and the unknown. She hasn't.
Publishing was traditionally seen as something gentlemen (and gentlewomen) might do if unable to live on the income from their rental property; a step down from their parents' standard of living, not always profitable, but at least one was working among literate people. In the twentieth century the success of "slick" popular magazines allowed publishers to be seen as affluent. It remained for B.A. Rose to envision publishers as living in a world of material indulgence, spending much of their time eating high-calorie food, burning off the calories primarily through sex, and hopping onto planes to get to places where their expensive hobbies await them. Real bodies cannot sustain the level of decadence in which these fictional publishers wallow.
While wallowing in luxury the characters in this novel also dabble in crime detection. The methods by which they solve mysteries aren't reality-based, either.
I could not suspend disbelief in this novel through a page at a time, but I did laugh.
I received this book as a freebie in return for an honest review. I loved the story, but felt that the grammar and punctuation let it down. I also found some of the scenes repeated a bit too often. Even so, again, I loved the story. I enjoyed the characters and found the 'quirky' aspects a lot of fun. Really didn't want to put the book down, kept wanting to see what would happen next. The story follows an event planner who shares a flat with her best friend. We follow as she comes into her own and allows her true personality to shine through, with a little help from her friends. Will definitely read Book 2.
This could be a good novel if it had some editing and proofreading. There were many errors in spelling, formatting and grammar. The steamy scenes were so repetitive I just skipped them after the first few. Really needed to move the story along a bit more rather than focus on them. Other than that I enjoyed the storyline but dislike being left hanging at the end. Received as complimentary copy from the author via Voracious Readrs Only in return for an honest review.
I have very mixed feelings about this book. I love the main plot and the major characters. What I did not like was that some scenes were repeated over and over, as was much of the dialogue. By the last third of the story I was just flipping the pages and briefly scanning them. I’m going to now read book 2 hoping it’s written much better.
Daisy is an event planner doing one for Lucas when in the the hotel ballroom she met Adele that asked her to help her find her killer. She found out that she was then she thought and her best friend Katie was helping also. Her and Lucas were falling for each other but it was separate from her job. One time they thought they had it figured out but didn’t add up but kept looking and found who did it. Just who I thought! Great book!
