When their mom made a promise to take both Max and his sister to the mall, they are let down when their mom forgets. Max feels angry about the situation, but how come his sister is so calm?

I thought this book was easy to read, and the message was simple. The illustrations were awesome! They fit the text and message of the story. I would’ve loved to see more ways to manage our feelings. Other than that, a great way to show how our emotions comes to the surface.

How to manage ones anger is a challenging task, but it’s great to find ways to manage that before erupting to whatever is making you angry. It can be easier said than done, but as I’ve seen mostly adults talk through their anger, it would’ve been a much better conversation for the adult to step away, and like they do in this book, count to ten and fix your mind elsewhere before going back and telling the other person why you are mad.

A great book to start a conversation about your feelings of anger, and a way to managing them.

Happy reading!♥️

Goodbye, Anger by Marie Zhang is a book about a brother and sister who are upset when there Mom does not follow through with a promise. Instead of blowing up in anger, the siblings do different activities to channel their anger—like playing and singing. I think Goodbye, Anger would be a good resource for adults to use in helping kids with anger. I highly recommended this book. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. My review is also on Goodreads.

A lovely story that would be great for a classroom setting or an individual reader. It shows Max getting very angry and lists the ways that he can help to calm himself down. Beautifully illustrated too. Thanks go to Netgalley and the author for providing a temporary copy in exchange for an honest review
