I can’t say I’ve ever wished for someone to be bitten right on the tip of their junk by a giant bull ant before, but Tanner Morgan—the only man capable of making me want to scream and cream at the same damn time—just might be the guy to change that.
He’s infuriating in every way possible, and out of all the massive changes in my life, I thought living next to him would be the worst thing I'd ever have to deal with.
I was wrong … so damn wrong.
Finding out what Colby Jacobs did to Tanner's sister was sickening, but then realizing my best friend of thirteen years played a part in his crimes … I have no words for that kind of betrayal. Erica and Colby are dead to me, but apparently, I'm not quite as dead to them as I’d have liked to be.
“You're under arrest.”
Those words have plagued me since the moment my hands were bound behind my back, and Addison's secrets were betrayed to half the senior class. Being arrested for rape and attempted murder was not something I thought I’d ever have to deal with and I knew at that moment that this would be the biggest fight of my life.
My world is crumbling and I’m barely holding on. I’m not cut out for this. I don’t know which way is up, but I know one thing is for sure—there’s no way in hell I’m going down without a fight.
Oh Sheridan Anne! I’m loving this series- it’s throwing me back to all the series that made me fall in love with Sheridan’s writing. That super juicy and dramatic, uber angsty and oh-so turbulent high school romance. Only Bradford has shown how Sheridan’s point of view has evolved over the years- it’s edgier, it’s way steamier, and the plot webs are thicker and more complicated. But it has that heart, the sincerity and swoony factor that I loved from some of her OGs- our heroine and hero don’t spend endless time being enemies, we get to spend much of this series with them TOGETHER. And while I love a good enemies to lovers (and have enjoyed her darker fare), I also love seeing Sheridan stretch one of her biggest autorial muscles through this lens- the super compelling way she writes character chemistry, that character connection, the nuanced, epic first love kind.
This story picks up at a frantic pace- barrelling straight into the implications of that giant cliffy. I was FLOORED by it, and curious just where it would go. Fortunately, Sheridan doesn’t keep too many details from us- we get answers, and some resolutions straight away. And from there we dive into more complication with these characters past, a lot of ensemble moments, and some SUPER DELICIOUS steamy ones, too.
What I loved most about this just how much we get to see Brielle and Tanner evolve as a couple- and as people. We see Brielle finding more strength and resolve now that she’s been forced to stop looking at the world around her with rose colored glasses, and we see her really find her footing in her new world, with her new friends and allies. And Tanner, well, Sheridan really gives him some moments of maturation. Accepting his mistakes and righting them, learning to control his quick twitch impulses, and being so damn swoony in getting his girl. I love them together- FLOVE THEM. And again, I love that the tension is this story is 90% external. We’re not waiting until the finale for them to figure things out, to move past their tensions- we actually get to see them find their footing together, facing their foes TOGETHER. And the romantic in me really likes this change of pace- we have ample drama and emotional complexity, but we’re not drowning in romantic agony and angst. I love their banter, their flirting and sadd with one another.
THe middle of the story did seem a bit slow me- and some of the ensemble moments while fun felt a little more like filler than plot advancing or adjacent. But, I love our side characters and their drama, and I loved watching the solidity of our main couple in those moments, do it didn’t detract much. The cliffy comes a bit out of field- thought perhaps I should have expected it was possible, and it’s a DOOZEY. I’m all up in my feelings. WHAT DOES THIS EVEN MEAN SHERIDAN!
I’m looking forward to the finale, and here’s hoping MANY someones get what they have coming. This has been my favorite new world of Sheridan’s of late- feels like coming home to the story telling that started it all.
I reached the end and I need answers! How could you?! Also, pretty sure this has been my favorite cliffhanger, even if it is terrible.
I freaking love Tanner and Bri. They have the best relationship and they're both hilarious. I love that they're still doing the sneaking back and forth from book one. I seriously just want to squeeze the both of them 😍
We get to see more of their friends in Brawler. I'm just as invested in their relationships as I am Tanner and Bri's. The end of this one could definitely help, or hurt, some of those relationships too.
I know Bradford Butcher is going to be wiiiiild. I'm gonna need lots of snacks and no responsibilities when it comes out.
I definitely ask myself this everytime I read one of Sheridan’s books….. but how am I supposed to wait MONTHS for answers?!? Sheridan never fails to leave us with a brutal cliffhanger that has us begging to know what happens next!
Bradford Brawler had my emotions going back and forth, constantly! One chapter, I would be in a hysterical laughing fit at Brielle, Riley, or Jaxon’s commentary. The banter between the whole friend group, was hilarious. The next chapter, I would be so angry with Brielle’s mom, Channing, or Orlando. I kept hoping for bad things to happen to them! After that, I would be swooning again!
Tanner and Brielle’s relationship growth is everything! You can just feel the love and passion they have for eachother, through the pages!
I will be impatiently counting down the days until Bradford Butcher is released! I can’t wait to get answers after this ending! I’m also holding out hope that there is redemption for Brielle’s mom!
Raw passion, betrayal, drama, and humor 👌 Frustrating moments and characters, mixed with steamy romance, make for an entertaining read. With complex relationships, morally gray characters, twists, vulnerability, and emotional turmoil - I’m hooked!
Holy smokes Mrs Sheridan Anne what have you done?!!!! This series is by far one of my favorites and the characters are just everything I love Brie and Tanner so much I loved the character growth in this book and I am even loving all the side characters as well and I hate a few too lol Tanner had me swooning so hard for him this book was just more we get more drama more angst more emotions more spice just more more more and a ending that left me devastated and speechless I already can’t wait for the final book in this story!
Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Spice Level: 🌶🌶🌶/5 Darkness Level: 💀.5/5
I swear that Sheridan is trying to secretly off her readers through cliffhangers. It's her calling. The author angel of death. 😂
Bradford Brawler is book 2 of the Bradford Bäst@rd series, and oh boy, does the book live up to its name. Tanner, what have you done? 😳
I love the relationship between Bri and Tanner. Even with ups and downs, they're perfect together.
This book is full of action, heat, danger, heartfelt moments, humour, and mystery. You'll go from 😳 to 🥳 to 🥵 to 😞 to 😲 to 🤣...sometimes in a matter of seconds.
Bored is something you certainly won't be.
Desperately waiting for the next book to put me out of my misery!
Ridiculous. Be prepared to suspense a crazy amount of disbelief while reading this one. Goodness. Why so much freaking vomit too?!? We were def in land of 12 year old boy humor again with this one.
How am I suppose to go on with my life these next few months knowing I’ve just been rocked to my core by that cliffhanger?! I need answers!! From start to finish, I could not put this book down. It’s like a sexier (jockier) version of The OC. I was blessed enough to receive an ARC of this and that was both a blessing and a curse. I loved being able to devour this a little earlier than the rest but hated having to keep the dirty little secret of that ending and not being able to share what happens. Talk about a gut punch and shock to the system! It’s a roller coaster ride in the best possible sense of the term!
This is a beautiful, bloody, beast of a book. Everything kicks up a notch from book one, and that was intense to begin f with. There are still plenty of witty remarks and hilarious inner monologues to balance out the drama, but the plot definitely brings the deep, dark stuff into the light.
We get to see more from the supporting cast of friends, which is highly entertaining. Bring some popcorn and a chair. Tanner and Brielle have some issues to work through, and I felt like the process was treated delicately and worked for the characters.
We also, unfortunately, get to see more scumminess from certain other characters and they may set new records for being the lowest of the low.
Prepare to sweat from the spice, bring tissues for your tears (yeah, you will cry), and practice your zen because you’ll want to knock some butts to the ground. Also, make sure you have somewhere soft form your preferred device to land when you get to the ending 😉
Wow! Outdid herself again! Loved book #2. So much going on, the twists and turns, the betrayals, the relationships, my head is spinning in the best way! Can't wait for book #3!
I really loved book 1, and I listed to the audiobook of book 1 as an ALC so I got really into and had to continue right into book 2 but the audio wasn’t out yet. As we got to the first “football game” it became clear to me that the author didn’t know what football was or how it was played. You can’t have two quarterbacks on the field at the same time. I think she’s Australian so maybe she was trying to describe rugby but I’m not familiar with rugby so I don’t know. My point is, this author doesn’t know her ass from football, so I DNF’d at the football game because it was disrespectful to football to not know the rules of the game before trying to write a sports romance book about football.
This is the second book in this fascinating series and this story is an emotional roller coaster throughout, with danger, suspense, humour, witty banter, and love which all leads to a riveting and thrilling page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Thank you to Sheridan Anne and JLCR for my e-arc in exchange for an honest review!
Please check for TWs before reading, this is recommended for 18+
Steam:4/5
Holy freaking cannoli! I loved book 1, but this one absolutely demolished book one by far! I didn’t think I could love these characters and story more.
Brawler picks up right where B@stard left off. Bri has been arrest and she hates Tanner. The plot of this one gets so deep with so many twists. Some I saw coming others were like a bucket of cold water. I felt all the emotions through this one. Ughhhh I got so angry, I laughed hysterically, got so upset, and felt so giddy.
In book one we were getting to know Bri and Tanner, and after reading this we didn’t even scratch the surface. The character development in this book was amazing. I absolutely love Bri, she’s strong, feisty, and so loyal. Tanner is all the bad you hate to love with a heart of pure Onxy he is truly a one of a kind bad boy. We got so much more time with all the side characters and I freaking love them all! Ilaria, Arizona, Chanel, Rylie, Jax, Logan, and Hudson are awesome friends and I just need them all to get together 🤣. I loved finally getting to meet Addison and Damien. I almost believed we never would. But I love him and want to see more of him! Addison is amazing and all the trauma she has endured and still lives her life, shows how strong survivors truly are. I feel her SA in the story was handled in a realistic and conscious manner.
Now for Colby, I have never wanted harm to come to someone more…okay well maybe Orlando or Bri’s mother. These 3 need to be taken out like the freaking dumpster fire trash they are…ugh every time they came on the scene I wanted to throw my kindle!
Now as for WTF Tanner’s “BIG SECRET” is Sheridan did us dirty and we will have to wait until book 3 😭
This book ends on a crazy cliffhanger in more ways than one so prepare yourself! This story is one heck of a wild ride! I can not wait for book 3 in November!
**First off, that RECAP was amazing! Forever wishing that authors will follow Sheridan's lead with adding a synopsis at the beginning! When you wait months for a new season of your favorite tv show to come on, the recaps help. Same with books! I didn't have to re-read or browse all of my highlights and notes from the first book of the series before starting book two. I have to do that quite often with unfinished series, so this helped A TON! Loved it!**
Holy crap this one was GOOD! Bradford Brawler picks up right where the first book left off and dives right into the cliffhanger we were left on. Bri was set up and charged for the attack on Tanners sister, Addison. The drama picks up, they fight for the truth to get charges dropped and just when you think Colby and Erica will rightfully get taken down for what they did, BOOM a new twist. Aside from all the action taking place, Sheridan gives us all the SPICE between Tanner and Bri. I love the dynamic of their relationship. You definitely see a lot of growth as we go between them and it's so sweet watching them fall in love.
We also get to see a lot of Tanner and Bri's friends in this story so Im secretly hoping for a spinoff in the future because that scene between Ari, Jax, and RILEY! omg. To think I was wanting that scene with Tanner and Bri instead. Riley's character does something to me. Not sure what yet. haha. Can't wait to see more of him though.
This book is full of angst, drama, revenge, betrayal, funny banter, friendships, and lots of spice! Oh, and Bri's stepdad is a whole new level of ASS throughout this one.
Lastly, we are left on a BRUTAL cliffhanger again. I am so ready to see all the antagonist of this story get what's handed to them!!!! Five stars! Love everything about this series so far!
One of the best feelings when it comes to reading in general is when you're really looking forward to a sequel and it meets all of your expectations and more! This was one of those cases, I don't know what it is about Brielle and Tanner but I cannot get enough of them! Even though it took a bit for them to truly find their way back to each other I liked it better that way because they were able to realize that their feelings were substantial and not just a fling, not that it had really felt like a fling for us readers. I also like that while they've definitely softened towards each other emotionally they still continue to go back and forth against each other ruthlessly, it's the perfect balance of emotional support and tension building savagery! 🔥
Not only do I love the banter between our main power couple, but the inner circle that's developed between the girl gang and the guys is growing to be one of my favorite inner circles of all time! There's emotion, there's friendship, but most of all there is seemingly nonstop banter and comedic relief which I find especially important when you have a book that contains some darker overall themes like this one. It's by far one of my favorite components of this trilogy and I will be looking forward to more of their antics and hopefully some more Damien cause I LOVED HIM! 🤞🏻
I knew that the ending would not be a walk in the park but COME ON SHERIDAN! After all of the revelations and questions you introduced in the last few chapters how could you go and do that to my babies!? 🥺 Thank goodness Bradford Butcher is the final one because I don't know how much longer I could handle having bad things happen to these wonderful characters. Per usual I have so many questions and I need to know that everyone gets a HEA of some kind like I need air to breath! You know that I'm already counting down to the release of book three and I think if I love it as much as I've loved the other two that this will be one of my top series of the year!
THIS ENDING!!!!!!! OMG! Sheridan Anne, how are you going to do us like that!?
This book is everything! It takes off right where Book 1 ended. Brielle is in a fight she never expected to be in! Only she realizes she has a support system that she's never had before. She has made some amazing friends and... Tanner. Even though things are push and pull, Tanner has her back and wants to keep her safe.
This book solidifies Tanners and Brielle's relationship more than ever! Lines are drawn. When Colby's trial takes over, no one expected the outcome! NO ONE!!!! Brielle's mom and Orlando are real pieces of work, and we are continuously left with our mouths open wide to figure out what their deal is! And Erica....pshhhh, I hope Erica goes down with Colby. I need it so much, lol.
When Tanner is cornered and left with an ultimatum, we are left with secrets. Secrets that apparently can break everything Tanner has ever worked for. When he finally has the nerve to come clean, the worst possible scenario happens! The ending of this book leaves us speechless. Blood is literally spilled, and we are left with lives hanging by a thread!
This book was amazing! I couldn't put it down once I started! It was funny, insane and steammmy! I NEED book 3 so bad!!! I need to know what's happening with that ending and what is Tanner's secret!?
*Overall 5/5 *Heat 5/5 *Tanner/Brielle First person POV *Med Burn *Funny *Crazy good storyline *Ends on major cliffhanger
I've been meaning to read a Sheridan Anne book for quite a while now, after she made a hilarious post in Tate James FB group, I couldn't wait to pick her up and boy am I happy I did. This book was fantastic from beginning to end. We have some great enemies to lovers (almost bordering on bully in the beginning) and it's filled with action, twists and lots of spicy goodness. My only sadness is that only book one is on audio, so I need to decide if I should wait for book two or dive into the kindle version instead.
I really loved the audio version of this story. Theo Sinclair and Maeve York did a fantastic job narrating these two and all the side characters and I couldn't get enough. I devoured the audio in one day and was begging for more.
Both of these characters are just so good. I loved how they got off on totally the wrong foot and then had this hate to lust you chemistry. Bring in the demon that kinda ties them together and it was a wild ride. I adore how strong and independent Bri is. She's not afraid to take what's served to her and dish it right back. Her and Tanner's back and forth is enemy banter perfection.
This one ended on a cliffhanger I did not see coming from a mile away and I'm unaliving to get to book two... I want to wait for the audio because it was just that good, but I have a feeling I'll be picking up the kindle version in the near future to find out what happens next.
I love a good cliffie but @sheridan.anne.author did you have to make that one so painful?! Bradford Brawler is book two in the series and we’re back with Brielle, Tanner and the crew for all kinds of shenanigans!
We pick up right where book one left off, with Brielle in a tight spot and Tanner with some making up to do! I’m glad Brielle made him work for it but good lord, I would’ve caved for that man WAY sooner 😆
We got all kinds of goodies in this book with their friend group, progress with Addison, a whirlwind with the case against Colby and finally meeting Damien (Brielle’s brother).
The parties and camping were equally amazing and hilarious. And the parental figures played a big part as well. Thank god for Tanner’s mom as the sole redeeming parent cause his dad and Bri’s mom both made me wanna throat punch some sense into them.
Overall, we made some serious progress toward happy in this book! But not so fast, cause no one is safe after that ending. And as much as I loved it, I gotta say that it still has me reeling!
Bradford Brawler by Sheridan Anne is an enemies to lovers high school romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Theo Sinclair and Maeve York. This is the second book in the Bradford Bastard Series.
I absolutely love Sheridan's books! She does an amazing job pulling me in from the first chapter. I am loving the chemistry between Brielle and Tanner. Their relationship is extremely messy, but you can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Bradford Butcher to be released on audio.
Theo and Maeve did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this series if you're looking for an enemies to lover romance, high school romance, romantic suspense or contemporary romances.
Good gravy with all the crazy things happening in this book! 🤣 There were some hilarious moments that had me legit laughing out loud. Tanner, Brielle, and their friends definitely kept things humorous while there was so much craziness going on. I love that they all have each other's backs throughout the story. No one needs a backstabbing ex ❌️ best friend. That girl needs help, and I'm so glad Brielle put her foot down and refused to give in to crappy apologies and reasonings. Now the "step-dad", these are my assumptions, is pos who is shady af. That signature I have a feeling is going to throw a wrench into things. Hopefully not and I'm just over thinking it. The mom is still a nut job. Now that ending!!! Oh man, so much happened so quickly there 😢 I'm in need of the last book stat!! I can't wait to see how this all plays out. I just know this is going to be an amazing trilogy once it's completed.
If I had to describe this book using only one word, that would be enthralling. From the first line all the way to the surprising ending.
Bradford Bastard stuck with me for a while, and even if I was so eager to read this second book, I was equally anxious about what was in store for our poor hearts... If you didn't know by now, with Sheridan Anne one must expect the unexpected and brace oneself for the most shocking, out-of-nowhere turn of events.
Tanner and Brielle have this intense and ardent pull and the feelings that develop between them are for both something new, in need of exploring. They seem to be perfect for each other, the trust and confidence in their relationship, make them a strong couple, capable of facing every challenge they encounter.
Yes, Brielle and Tanner are the main characters of this series but Sheridan did focus a little more on the cast of friends and their dynamics, an aspect that I found so refreshing and did play a significant part in the most vital moments.
Shady characters that become shadier, surprises that change the flow of the story, secrets that may destroy lives, insane sexual chemistry...Bradford Brawler brimmed with palpable suspense, everything culminating with an ending that, undoubtedly, will make Bradford Butcher explosive.
Classic and modern Anne writing merge together in this book.
Drama, angst, steam on top of steam, chenistry, and the storyline …oh boy… the book is dynamite.
I loved how the relationship wasn't too much of a back and forth, in fact it was a learning experience for both characters. They really develop as a team and as characters of their own.
The friendships external to the relationship are life…
The emotions are off the charts…
The big moments seem bigger…
The pages keep turning them you get to the end… wait… it's the end of the book…nooo you cannot leave it like that… what a way to keep us in suspense…
“The only man capable of making me what to scream and cream at the same damn time”
If that doesn’t entice you to read this book, then damn girl your in the wrong place!
Tanner and Brielle are back in this non stop spectacular second novel by Sheridan Anne. I don’t like to give any spoilers in my reviews, but if you loved the first book….. your gonna eat up the second. It’s hotter, sexier, more exciting and the drama makes for one hell of a fabulous read.
I love this series. I have no idea how to review this since I feel like the whole book is a spoiler.
I laughed, cried and raged while reading this book. Tanner and Bri make a perfect couple. There’s something shady going on with Orlando and Tanners Dad.
I can’t wait to read the next book.
Oh btw, that cliffhanger may have been Sheridan Anne’s worst one yet. Good thing I love cliffhangers lol
Fair warning- sheridan Anne has become the queen of cliffhangers!
This second book in the series helped answer some of the many questions about Tanner, Brielle, Addison and even Colby- BUT it left us with even more questions! This is a great series! Don’t pass it up!
