Gorgeous, broody, and intimidating as hell… I can’t decide if I want to punch him or kiss him.
Moira: Inheriting my grandad’s boxing club is the last thing I expected, but I’m determined to make it work. The rival Russian boxing club might have other plans for me. Nikolai is almost twice my age, sexier than any man has a right to be, and he makes it clear he doesn’t want the Irish club opening back up. Too bad for him I’ve never been one to back down from a good fight. What started out as hatred quickly changes to something more. Now there’s way more on the line than just a boxing club—my heart, our future, and an even bigger surprise that neither one of us ever saw coming.
Nikolai: Paddy O’Connor was a big pain in the ass, and it looks like his granddaughter is dead set on following in his footsteps. She’s infuriating, stubborn, and the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. At first I want her gone, but then I realize I never want to let her go. My past is a deadly one, filled with things I need to stay hidden, and I know I don’t deserve her. Men like me don’t get fairytale endings. We don’t deserve them, but she makes me want it all. A wife, a family, a future that doesn’t involve blood and pain—all the things I never let myself believe I could have—seem possible with her. But can an orphan with a bloody past even make a good husband and father?
Warning—if you hate the pregnancy trope, then you might want to pass on this one!
My Russian Temptation is a very steamy, enemies-to-lovers, age gap romance. This is the second book in the Russian Boxing Club series, an interconnected series that can be read as standalones, but it’s more enjoyable if you read them in order. No cliffhangers, no cheating, and an HEA is always guaranteed!
Nikolai finally gets his HEA in this second book. We meet Moira who is supposed to pick up the pieces from the Irish Club & the rivalry between the Irish & Russians. While Nikolai makes this a very easy rule to follow; there is an attraction neither can ignore. It makes for some funny reading because Moira is a boxer as well and so she can fight her own battles. The introduction of a strong female friendship with Gina & Jamie encourages the growth of their relationship. The friendship between the girls helps Moira to grow into the person she wants to be and with Nikolai's support she is finally able to trust someone and have a 'family'.
Nikolai's personality comes out alot more in his book and we learn even more hard things that him & Dmitri had to go through when they were younger. But we also get a side of Nikolai that you always knew was there with his support for Dmitri and Sergei.
The twists in this book are shocking and sometimes funny. We get alot of funny parts especially with the protectiveness of Moira by Nikolai.
We get alot of love scenes. One thing I wish Nikolai as a character got was the knowledge of the first time. I really felt sorry for him because he wanted everything to be so different.
We get the whole wedding and pregnancy and birth which I love. It's not just an Epilogue. So I'm thankful for that from Sonja.
We also get a few hints and introductions into Vadim's book and also Mikhail later on.
Yes, there are grammatical errors but they can be ignored for KU.
I also really enjoyed the emphasis on their 'family' and the introduction and growth of Moira into the group. As 2 people that don't have family it's nice to have a tight group accept Moira but we also get updates in their lives because it's all weaved in together.
There were parts of this book that I thought were enjoyable, but I skipped a lot of pages. I just couldn’t cope with the endless sex, and I don’t believe that any woman would be okay after all that sex and the men are all massively endowed. Ouch!
Moira is the granddaughter of Paddy who owns the Irish gym. While he’s in prison, he transfers the gym over to Moira, with the warning to stay away from the Russians. Moira had a terrible childhood, and her grandad didn’t like her. So I was really puzzled why he signed it over to her and not one of his friends. I didn’t understand her hostility towards Nikolai when they first meet either.
Nikolai fights for his feelings for Moira as they scare him. He eventually gives in and they have sex ALL THE TIME, EVERYWHERE! In between the sexathons they fall in love. (Somehow.) That’s about it for the plot. There’s a slight bit of danger that doesn’t really come to anything and more sex.
I am SO pleased with this author! She is new for me and fantastic! Her writing is great, you are getting a full story and the chemistry and characters are on fire. The couple is so STEAMY together! The cast is back as well from the previous books, while you certainly do not need to read them to enjoy this love story why NOT read them?! They are all SO darn YUMMY!
Fire with fire, they cannot stay away from one another!
The storyline and the characters and just everything was so sexy. They couldn't stay away from one another. Their banter, their scenes...wow. SO hot. I live their connection and the fact that they interact with our previous characters. Them with the baby...you're killing me here-so cute. The really show how kind they are and a man showing love to a child? I melted. This was perfect and I very much enjoyed stepping back into this awesome world. Great writing and a sexy, caring couple.

I actually read their story right before it came out and am trying to update my reviews!
I was so excited for Nikolai’s story. After learning a little about him in Dmitri’s story I was intrigued by this broody man. I really felt for him, his upbringing was sad, and I hated how he just kinda accepted that he’d never get his happily ever after like Aleksei and Dmitri. So to see how wonderful everything turned out for Nikolai and Moira had me smiling! No two people deserved it more than them. I really liked Moira. She was strong, held her own, and didn’t take any of Nikolai’s crap. Her childhood wasn’t good either, but it made her into the strong and determined fighter of a woman she was. One of my favorite things about Sonja books is we get to see the pregnancies, and afterwards too, plus the epilogue takes us a few months into the future. And I loved seeing all the guys and their women come together as a family and support each other. One more guy to go in this series and I can’t wait!
I absolutely loved this book. If you love a great sporting romance between a no BS heroine & Russian alpha male then Nikolai & Moira story is for you. Moira has taken over her grandfather's Irish boxing gym & Nikolai runs a Russian boxing gym. How long before these enemies become lovers on this roller coaster ride of a relationship with a few bumps along the way. The steam & chemistry between these two is so hot that it doesn't take to long before it boils over into some very steamy in between the sheets action. Will Nikolai be too late in his realisation that he is worthy of a HEA with Moira? I can't wait to read the next book by this author.

I really like this author's writing style. The banter ,teasing and realistic emotions she uses creates interesting characters.I like how Nikolai is so possessive of Moira ,even though their relationship started out hostile as rivals ,from both owning boxing gyms.Moira wasn't your typical weak female lead.Nikolai gets hit with insta- love shortly after meeting her, messes up,has to grovel ,then all is good.Nikolai in a panic is endearing. There is conflict, bad things happen, but Nikolai saves Moira and the HEA is sweet.I like how there are recurring characters throughout this series.I am starting Vadim' s book next.Good series.I haven't found anything from Sonja Grey that I haven't given at least 4 stars to.( I usually give 5 stars)
Nikolai is charged by Dimitri to meet with the new owner of the Irish fight club. They want to have a friendly relationship with the new owner, instead of the hostile relationship from the previous owner, which almost landed Dimitri in jail and Gina hurt. Moira is Paddy’s granddaughter and the only relative he has to take over the boxing club. They do not have a great relationship. Moira does not want to make friends with the Russians, who on every front have been nice and helpful as she rebuilds her club. The sparks are instant, but there is so much they have to over come. The plot was great, a great continuation of book 1. The chemistry between these two is great and watching (reading) them build their relationship is great!
First book by this author and loved it ! It has a bit of mafia flair Russian / Bratva and Irish.
This book can be read as a standalone but there interconnecting series characters.
What I loved :

Moira has inherited her grandfathers Irish boxing club and has plans to reopen it. Nikolai goes to find out what Moira plans for the club are, as things had settled between the Russians and Irish since her grandfathers incarceration. Moiras always had to fight for her place and shes not one to back down, but what neither expect is the connection that grows between them in more than one way. But can they put their past fears behind them for a future? This is a well written enemies to lovers, a great addition to the series, steamy scenes, desires and more, I cant wait for book 3!.

HEA Standalone, interconnected characters Age gap (he's 38, she's 21)
The Russians and the Irish don't mix. When she comes to town to reopen the Irish boxing club, she meets the Russians. One in particular that changes her life. Kolya knows she's special, loves her with a love he didn't know was possible. But he messes up. Then her life is in danger. The steamy scenes make this book for over age 18 readers, but the story has great plot. Only a few typos.
“Sometimes I look at you, and you’re so beautiful that I can barely stand it, like a gorgeous piece of art that you get completely lost in, but you know you’ll never really ever be able to fully understand. You’re overwhelming, Moira, and you constantly take my breath away.”
SWOON
-enemies to lovers -age gap, 17 years -virgin FMC -rival business owners -OTT possessive/protective -touch her and die vibes but he’s not mafia! -surprise pregnancy -no third act breakup
My Russian Temptation is a very steamy, enemies-to-lovers, age gap romance. This is the second book in the Russian Boxing Club series, an interconnected series that can be read as standalones, but it’s more enjoyable if you read them in order. Nikolai & Moira had an entertaining read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
I loved this story. It showed two broken people finding their soul mates and learning to allow love in. I also appreciated that the author gave us a real look into the future and let the story feel truly complete, instead of how most rush through and have an abrupt ending. This was my first book by Sonja Grey but it won’t be my last.
This one was good too! LOVED that a pregnancy happened & I got to read about most of it in the book. Nikolai is so amazing. All of Sonja Grey's books are at least a 4 star read & she's on my auto buy now. :)
In this second installment of the Russian Boxing Club series, Nikolai finally gets his much-anticipated happily-ever-after, and it’s absolutely worth the wait. The introduction of Moira, a strong-willed boxer, adds a fresh dynamic as she steps into the role of picking up the pieces of the rivalry between the Irish and Russian factions. Their attraction is immediate and undeniable, leading to some fun moments, especially as Moira proves she can hold her own both in the ring and with Nikolai.
What truly sets this book apart is the emotional depth. As Moira and Nikolai’s relationship blossoms, we see the power of friendship between Moira, Gina, and Jamie. These women empower each other and help Moira become the woman she wants to be. Meanwhile, Nikolai’s history is revealed in more detail, giving us a deeper understanding of the tough past he shares with Dmitri and Sergei. His character, though brooding, shows a side of him that’s compassionate and deeply supportive of his family.
The twists in the plot are both shocking and humorous, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, particularly when it comes to Nikolai’s fierce protectiveness of Moira. Their relationship heats up with several passionate love scenes, and while Nikolai may not have had the ideal first experience, you can't help but root for his character.
The book also offers a satisfying conclusion, covering not just the wedding and pregnancy but also the birth—no skipped details here! Plus, hints of Vadim and Mikhail's stories have me eagerly awaiting the next books in the series. While there are some minor grammatical errors, they’re easy to overlook, especially given the addictive nature of the story.
Sonja does an excellent job showcasing the theme of ‘family,’ as Moira finds her place among a tight-knit group who, like her, didn’t have much of a family to rely on before. The heartfelt support among the characters makes this an unforgettable read. If you’re looking for a blend of romance, strength, and growth, this book has it all.
