“Death is but an invitation into our world. Embrace the sins of your father, Ríona.”>/i>

Bound by poverty, I’m but an offering to the gods worshipped by the Frehja.
Left astray at the hands of my greed-filled father, I’m a sacrificial pawn to the Ghryadiel, leaving me with one choice: death.

I don’t run from my demise like the gods expect.
I embrace it.

Four Ghryadiel Dragons band together to kidnap me from the brink of plunging catastrophe.
An act of rebellion against their forefathers.

Little do I know, our psychotic tendencies are what bonds us as my act of defiance lays the mark of sin upon my clammy flesh.

Salvaged from the pits of tainted oblivion, I’m reborn into a world of monsters, but behind the chaos, betrayal, and theme of extinction lies a world full of wonder as my resurrection awakens something no one could ever predict.

A dragon royal out of wedlock.

Will the sins of my father invite me to embrace my destiny?

As for my dragon kidnappers…
They’re coming to realize that I’m just as cunning as they are.

DNF at literally 20%.

The author seems to have an obsession with the word “individual” Like dude, is it really necessary to call a group of people “individuals” like seven times in one chapter? I’m not kidding, I went back and counted.

This reads like something off wattpad in the worst way possible. It was like reading a 13 year old’s essay in English class. No I’m not kidding, there were a lot of attempts at really poetic sounding sentences that genuinely made me cringe.

“Tiny hands turned into fists as tears resembled the plentiful beads of water thundering from the sky.” ???? Just no, absolutely not. I really had to read that like five times just to make sure I wasn’t actually stupid. That line makes no sense and it’s a horrible attempt at poetic and “pretty” writing.

I am forever grateful to Kindle Unlimited for letting me borrow this book for free because if I spent money on this I would’ve been pissed.

Absolutely horrible writing.

The premise sounded promising...

I don't know, it could be me... But I didn't like the writing style. I also didn't favour the constant slutshaming and the degrading names specially from the main characters. The majority of female characters are shown in a negative way, which I really dislike in the RH genre. Also, what's with the word "psycho" being thrown around everyone and everything when hardly anyone in the end actually is, hmm?

Additionally having some sort of a glossary, when having more of a fantasy setting, really improves the reading experience of the book. I think this book really needed one.

.

I was not a fan of this at all, I’m genuinely surprised I got through as much as I did.

It was insanely difficult for me to follow the authors’ writing style, I had to reread so much of this, and was still confused. I saw in another review mentioned that it’s mimicking ‘poetic’ writing and I definitely agree. Too many elements being thrown together. Add in the fact that the main character goes on tangents AND is like a lot of fmc’s seen now that are “quirky” and “funny” that it just becomes ridiculous and hard to follow.

A ton of stuff repeated. New chapters repeated a third of the previous chapter from a different POV, which i normally wouldn’t be too upset about, but was already frustrated trying to understand and get through the book that it was just too much. We don’t need a repeat of everything.

I feel like a glossary was definitely needed, there were so many terms used that weren’t clearly stated on what they were and I was left guessing.

I think too much was being added in that mistakes weren’t being caught. The fmc (while talking to one of the mmc’s) mentioned not knowing her biological father, but the next chapter in the other POV, acted like she had no clue and was shocked, despite having just mentioning it to them.

There were also quite a few grammar and spelling errors as well.

❤What an EPIC and glorious ride indeed !!!! 🐲

Holy Moly!!! My jaw is still on the floor after this adrenaline packed book of AWESOMENESS!!!!

First off- what's not to love about DRAGONS 😉! Throw in one truly blow your socks off, resilient, fierce, smart, sassy and all around amazing FMC named Ria who is determined to find her way in her wretched world. There are smexy alphas, villains galore, secrets around every corner, hidden histories and prophecies, and oh sooooo much more deliciousness. My word... and this is just the start of the series 😉. Ria and her FOUR dragon princes certainly have their work cut out for them. Get ready for all kinds of excitement in this wonderful book. There are dark themes, plenty of heat, and emotional trauma...but our characters endured the pain to become the strong beings they are now, and need to be for what's to come. Oh...and there *is* a teensy weensy cliffhanger, so be warned. I loved the growth Ria showed from the start of the book until the last page. Now I *really* can't wait for book two!!!! Hands down one of my fave characters written by this author yet...and that's saying a lot 😉❤. I highly recommend checking this gem out.

This reader definitely gives two enthusiastic thumbs up! I cannot wait to see what's next for these characters.

Avery Song always likes to have a plot twist at the end of her books; this one isn't any different. I like the book but it seems that there are quite a bit of plot holes once the revelation at the end comes.

**Spoilers**
If all the mates had to die within 10 years (assuming this is after the child is born), how is Zero's mother still alive? Was Riona a part of the plan from the early stages, or did she know because of her Seer ability and if it was because of that ability, when did she learn the truth? The whole situation with Riona's mom is also questionable. Not sure if some of this is answered in future books.

Sins of a Dragon

Welcome to Ghryadiel, where dragons rule both land and air! If you are human, you are labeled a slave. This is the world that Riona Freyja Adelaide inhabits, it is a dark existence and one that Ria is eager to escape. But she truly didn’t expect how she was forced out of one world and literally dropped into another.

Follow Ria’s journey into her ever expanding world where everything that you thought you knew about yourself is flipped on it’s side and you are way more than you ever dreamed you could be.

Where Princes are cruel and slightly psychotic…and Ria is signing up for all their crazy!🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ Where your “sister” is happily watching you suffer, and watching and cheering for your downfall.

Pick up this fantastic book and find a warm corner, a hot drink and some headphones to enjoy the amazing playlist for this book! Once you start this book, you won’t want to put it down! And that ending is…🤯

What a surprise

It’s been a while since I’ve read an Avery Song book and this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t too convinced at first but that plot twist at the end sold me.

I felt the book was way too long for what’s happening and a did skim here and there though. While I appreciated the dual POV, I didn’t see the need for so many scenes from both POV when it didn’t really add anything.

I liked the guys and their possessiveness. They have dark pasts and I’m excited to see how that will translate in the future. Ria is an interesting FMC will many layers and secrets. She’s funny and resilient. And a whole lot of other adjectives I can’t use to avoid spoilers.

Side note : the book needs editing and to be reviewed for grammar and spellings but despite all of that, I had a great time with this story and will be waiting for book 2 impatiently.

Wow!

My mind is blown with how the world was created, allowing the fmc to charge into what she thought was her death. The fmc turns out she’s someone she thought she wasn’t. Someone important and her slave status was a ruse. I loved how strong the fmc was. I loved the men in her harem, how instantly they were protective even with reservations. It was a bit confusing at times where I still don’t understand what the fmc realized in the end but I think in the next book, it will explain itself more fully what she realized. The flow of words was so natural, there wasn’t any skipped actions or thought processes that it made it easily understood what was going on. Great book! Can’t wait for the next one!

Okay. So this was the one of the best stories I’ve read in awhile. That said, the writing is not great, especially in the sex scenes. One scene was physically impossible. I didn’t understand the type of world this took place in. They have tabloids and sports bras and transporters (still not sure what that is) but it’s also a fantasy world? I’m not saying those things can’t coexist, but this wasn’t really cohesive. The use of slut and bitch in ever other sentence/paragraph made me feel gross, but I also understood that the characters past experiences influenced them to use those words. Even with all of the negative, I really enjoyed the plot and I can honestly say I’m excited for the second book. I just hope it had a better editor.

I love this, i loveloveloveloved this book so f**ing much!.
Ria is so kickass, her life was so bad that even the self proclaimed aholes that is her men where jumping between feeling pity and being awed by her. And i do mean aholes because they where certainly not soft or kind very often. If the scowl emoji was a bookcharacter it was all of them. I want-no I Need the next part out soon! I just couldn’t stop reading and it was over way too soon, like within a day that included dogsitting duties and necessary shopping(while almost walking into traffic because i was reading on my phone). I highly recommend this book!

Ms. Song introduces us to her newest world of Dragons! We meet Ria and learn about her tragic past. It could be a trigger for some people, so readers please be cautious if do have some. We get to meet her fated mate and the den of princes. I do love that there is some MM romance as well as the interaction between the FMC and her men. It does have some steamy part, which I love. I also love the introduction to her new female bestie. I will say if you aren't familiar with Ms. Songs books then the ending will surprise you. I was able to take a guess right before the end to what would happen. But overall a good book. I can't wait to see where book two starts off!

I’m confused with with the world building as it feels more Shadowborn world (under the author’s other pen name - which I do not understand why). We have a kingdom in a different shadow dimension, we have Dusk and the “psycho” thing that is a common theme in all her books. Not sure exactly what she means by being psycho, because these characters definitely are not. And then, we have the same situation as one of her other books: the female is a frail little thing who doesn’t know anything about their world but suddenly, she reveals she knows everything and more and it was all a ploy.
4 stars because I’m a sucker for dragons.

Absolutely loved it! Just when you think this is a heroine story.....she's the villain of the story. Maybe this will change over the course of the story but the cliff hanger ending the author gave us, which is FIRE, suggests that this heroine needs to be the villain in the story before she can be the savior. I cannot wait for the next book. Definitely gave more of the story line than she normally would in her books but definitely was a good stopping point to give just enough juice and still leave you wanting for more.

Sins of A Dragon by Avery Song is a dark fantasy romance with dragon shifters.

In the story, we follow Ria who has a dark, troubled past. Her journey is not easy. It is full of twists and turns and shocking revelations that will leave your jaw hanging open at the end of the book. She is not alone though. She has four protective and possessive dragon's that are obsessed with her. Osiris, Khaos, Rhys, and Zero are perfect for her and she for them. I can't wait for more of their journey in book 2.

I can't wait for the 2nd book!!

This book was dark, but it was so good at showing the difference between being evil for evil sake and showing a façade to the world so that you are not taken advantage of. Osiris and his friends are honorable. They want to take care of their people, but their fathers love having power. Even the forefathers who did not agree with Osiris' father still backed him which was crazy because if they just stood up to him, none of this would have happened. I can't wait to see the hidden world with the new kingdoms and how they will get revenge.

Sin of a Dragon Was Awesome!!!!

Wow I really loved this book and that ending was awesome. I can’t wait for the next one to come out. The trauma and emotional damage they had to go through with their families. I can’t believe their fathers and elders would do stuff like they did. But our girl Ria was one tough cookie, and boy did she really show us how truly bad a$$ she was at the end. Like I said I can’t wait for the next book. Great job Avery Song.

Oh Revenge Will be Sweeter

I 100% did not see that coming. I absolutely loved this story. I cannot wait for it to continue. There is heartache, trauma, mystery, and suspense. Yes there is also steam. I haven’t read a book like this before, and that small little cliffy haha! Let’s just say you’ll know exactly what I’m saying when you get to those last few pages, and yes you’ll be as surprised as I am!

Loved This!!!

I adore this authors mind she truly creates worlds and characters that you wholeheartedly invest in. Also a female author who writes strong women that you can relate to. Who want their men in there life but never needs them which makes the romance part of these stories so much more relatable. My only two bug bears - please Miss Stone get your books proof read and two why on earth do I have to wait to six months till May to get the next bloody installment 🤣🤣

Easy reading and interesting story

Enjoyed the story, but felt it was a bit all over the place at times. The ending kind of just jumps out of no where. Did not like the use of "ya" throughout and there were noticeable editing issues where words were missing, spelling or grammar issues or the use of an incorrect word. Overall an easy read. The storyline and World has a lot of potential.

Disappointed

I used to love Avery's writing but lately it's just not the same. I don't mind reading some m/m added in the story don't have a problem at all with it but lately it's most of the book especially this one. A lot was basically repeated it seemed to just fill up pages that was supposed to be from another's perspective but nothing new added just restated exactly what was already said.

Entertaining

If you like reverse harems and/or shifter romance this book is pretty good. I enjoyed reading it and plowed through pretty quickly. It does have issues with some words not fitting the intended use and some editing hiccups, however. They can, at times, pull you out of the story. The best way to describe it is, it reads like a Wattpad story. If you get past those, the plot is there enough to want to read the sequel and the spice is decent and frequent. I am also intrigued to see what the authors other works have in store. The ending is a little nonsensical in that, all of a sudden the main character is spouting knowledge that she previously didn't know as if she always did and other characters are acting as if they knew her the whole time and were involved with the back story. All in all, I would recommend reading the digital copy to friends but wouldn’t purchase a physical copy myself.

I love the story Of Ria and the dragon princes. She is a slave that goes through trauma at the hands of her father. Her sister is favored and the only person that wasnon her side is gone. Her mother. As the book goes on we learn that she is a human after all. We have deeper plots at play and I couldn’t put the book down.

Sins of a Dragon is an epic start to this new fantasy villain romance series!
We are introduced to Ria and the four dragon princes. In a world where humans are sacrificed, Ria finds herself being offered up by her own father. But the four Dragon Princes have other plans.
With a captivating plot filled with mystery, betrayal and sexy, hot dragons, what’s not to love about this book?

Absolutely amazing. This world is so different from any others from Avery Song. I became so emersed in this book that it was hard to stop reading when I had to work. I do warn there are triggers in the book both sexually and "parental" abuse, but if you can handle those this book should be on your read list. I really cant wait for the next book.
