They say you never miss a good thing until it's gone; Meet Ka' Millionaire.
Ka’ Millionaire has been with his girlfriend Jayda for the last couple of years, and he takes damn good care of her. But here lately, Ka' Millionaire has been looking at Jayda differently. Jayda has been staying out late and not answering his calls. Not to mention it's been a drought in their sex life lately. It seems like Jayda loves the streets more than she does her own man. Ka' Millionaire is fed up with Jayda's shit and is ready to call it quits. He feels Jayda is disloyal to him but doesn't have the evidence to prove it. That’s not until Ka' Millionaire's little sister reveals confidential information that makes him spiral out of control, causing Ka' Millionaire to damn near kill Jayda until his mother stops him. They say love makes you do some crazy thing but what Jayda did is beyond crazy.
They say money is the root of all evil; let me introduce Flame.
Flame gets the big head when he comes up on a large amount of money. The person he robbed wants Flames's blood, not stopping until he gets it. Hood gives Flame 72 hours to return his money and products, but when Flame doesn’t do it, all hell breaks loose. Bullets begin to fly, and someone Flame loves dearly ends up in a life or death situation, causing Flame to seek revenge.
I'm not even to the end yet and I can comfortably say that if it wasn't for my serious dislike for not finishing a book I've begun, I would have stopped at about 18% read. The story telling in this book is a new person each chapter, and while that is a commonly used method, none of the language is unique to the speaker. You can't tell me that out of 9 (poorly developed) characters that none of them have a unique way of speaking. In addition to that, they are all made to seem highly unintelligent, except of course our leading lady Diamond. It's as if the writer has chosen a true event from her life, and written it into a book and naturally as the offended party made everyone else out to be a total tool or absolute idiot. Something directly quoted from Ka'Millionaire: "I just feel like before a woman has an abortion, at least try to give it up for adoption; that's my opinion." Women with a legitimate knowledge of how an abortion works and that a late term abortion is only medically performed when necessary to save the mother's life know this statement is completely said coming from a place where someone has entirely no clue about these things.
The characters are pretty stupid. How can Jayda constantly slap Millionaire in the face with a red flag that she is cheating. Diamond tells him she is cheating and when he gets an STD he’s shocked. The hell? Also the story is like the last one I read so it made the story very predictable. It still doesn’t take away front the plot. But I knew what would happen because the last book was the same. Then Millionare not even married to Jayda so I was lost with him wanting a reason to dump her. Just dumped her. Your girlfriend barely having sex with you and not respecting you is enough. Why the hell would you need to wait until she cheats dummy. I usually don’t do over the top dummies but I want to see the villians meet their fate. Other than that. I probably would have DNF’d.
Okay Sherri I love this series so far. Damn Flame, Alize and Jayda all dirty asf. Lawd somebody get Keeshay and Diamond out of jail asap. Millionaire and Damage about to go crazy about their women being locked up. Flame nasty for the body though dang you tryna make the girl spend the rest of her life in jail smh. Tye could cheat but mad cause Kee ain’t wanna deal worse type of man but he got what he deserved. Lawd on to part 2
Unfortunately, all of the characters seemed very childish and immature. They were very irritating and the women were the worse. It was a struggle to read book one. I will not be continuing on this journey.
Great storyline. Alize , Flame and jayda deserves everything coming to them. Ka millionaire is very responsible to be raising his sister. Can’t wait to read book when it comes out.
