She's the prize.
And I never lose.

Nothing in life is a sure bet. So I make my own luck.

Now I've found one of the soft human females.

Without me, she would have died in the harsh snows of the northern mountains of Reazus Prime.

I've kept her safe.
Wrapped her in warm furs.
Guarded her dreams.

But I've been keeping a secret, and with every passing day the fire in my heart makes it harder to stay silent.

I burn for her, but will my lies turn her from my embrace?

Such an intense read.
Kamek and his brothers witness escape pods crash landing on their planet. Unbeknown to his brothers he already knows which one he'll track. Unfortunately the person that he will liberate will not see a better future with them either. If and when he finds the cargo, he plans to sell it for a profit. However when he tracks and finds the now unoccupied pod he knows he must find the occupant. Wandering through the snow he finally catches up to the human female.
Jaylee knows that her surroundings don't bode well. Dazed, confused and cold, all hope seems lost. When Kamek rescues her she feels a connection to him and can't seem to get passed the idea that he has dragon features. Although he is not acting honorably he feels that she is his mate. As time goes on they become close. Falling in love wasn't on either of their agendas but fate has stepped in. A miracle occurs that shocks both Kamek and Jaylee.

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Alien's Gamble . I really enjoyed reading this story . This is the second book in the Thaxian Warrior Mates series . It's full of aliens and strange creatures . It's entertaining and definitely interesting . Ryven and his furry companion head out of the strong hold back to his workshop . While traveling there he comes upon a mysterious Pod like he found before , except this one holds a human woman . Kyla and her fellow women escaped the Seramiks Dream as it exploded. Not knowing where or if the might land . Kyla wakes to find Ryven an alien with red scales and dark horns looking at her . As she with Ryken's help search for her missing friends they try to avoid deadly creatures and enemies . This is a very well written sci-fi romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Every one of the Outlaw Planets that I've read were all fantastic. This story has Kamek and his brothers who see the slave ship carrying human females crash so they come up with an idea to find the human females and sell them. As they make that plan, Kamek feels he has to go in a certain direction because of a connection he feels with the human female in that pod. Due to the weather, once he finds her, they find a cabin to hole up in and it isn't long before Kamek knows Jaylee is his mate. Jaylee also starts to have feelings for Kamek. His knowing of Jaylee being his mate is substantiated when his wings come out. They have to fight some evil aliens before they find their way back to Kamek's ship. This story has action, adventure, steamy romance and a very happy ending.

The two main characters meet under unusual circumstances, but there was something that instinctively drew Kamek to her, even before they met. She was very feisty, determined and not easily convinced which attracted him even more. Initially she feared him, but he was extremely protective and tender to her, something she had never experienced before. It’s easy to see they belong together and endearing as they bring out the best in each other. Just when things seem to be going well, disaster strikes and it opens a new can of worms.

Alien's Gamble

Kamek and his brothers come upon the escape pods from a slaver ship. They decide to split up to see who finds the new slaves. Jaylee finds herself awakened in a pod in a frozen snow bank. Kamek finds the almost frozen human female and in warming her finds himself enraptured.

from a bet to forever

Alien’s Gamble is book fourteen in the series Outlaw Planet Mates by author Elin Wyn. This is an incredibly interesting read it’s like a fairytale. There’s a damsel- there’s a hero(ok he has to work into that role) and there are bad elements. Lots of humor- steam and adventure.
Enjoy!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The stakes are high, the snow is cold, and the romance is blazing! Alien’s Gamble delivers a protective hero with secrets and a vulnerable heroine who slowly melts his guarded heart. There’s something primal and beautiful about the way survival bonds turn into something deeper here, and the steady buildup to trust and passion feels incredibly rewarding.

I just knew he wasn't going to be able to sell her off! I liked the steam and how the characters grew to respect and love each other. Even though the liking and loving were kind of instant for the MMC, the MFC had to come to grips with being attracted to an alien. I loved it.

Exciting!

Alien’s Gamble is an exciting adventure on Reaus Prime. Kamek moves from trying to best his brothers in a bet to wanting the feisty, tiny, Jaylee to love him forever. Enjoyable read!

Hated both MCs. She was a “tough girl who doesn’t need anyone” and was whiny and stupid about it and he was alpha and misogynistic.
Pass.

No cheating no breakup. No OMD/OWD. fated mates.

Got 20% and just gave up. I was hoping to try a new author but honestly the writing was to rushed and not developed enough to hold my interest. I LOVE the idea of the book though…

Decent

Heroine was a little irksome at times, but eventually was very pragmatic and likable. Overall it was a decent, solid read.
