In this open, honest and authentic memoir about life, love, loss, healing and personal evolution, Falynn fearlessly bares her truth and reclaims her narrative. As a mother, entrepreneur and Real Housewives of Atlanta star, she courageously shares the version of her story that has not been captured on camera.
Sinless is Falynn's ode to women who understand the detriment of remaining silent. It's her pledge to honor her pain by attaching it to purpose. In her own sassy, sophisticated and sexy way, Falynn gives us a look into the evolution of becoming a woman who finally uncovers and owns her self worth by detaching from the survivor mindset, healing from childhood trauma and narcissistic abuse, exploring self love, embracing healthy romance, nurturing her family and designing a life that she is able to live on her own terms.
Sinless is a daunting reminder to reserve judgement, make room for truth and celebrate the bold women who dare to heal, grow and love again.
I completed this entire book in only a couple of hours. Falynn is known for being a friend to the show on season thirteen of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘸𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘵𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢. However, I would say she’s mostly known for having her husband taken from her by her castmate. Following the taping of her season on RHOA Falynn found herself at the center of a firestorm when her then husband, Simon Guobadia, left her for her castmate Porsha Williams. In her memoir 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 Falynn shares her side of that explosive narrative. She begins the book by telling her story as a young girl who was emotionally, physically and sexually abused by her step father. By the age of sixteen, Falynn was put out of multiple homes, gave birth to her first child, became a high school dropout, and found herself homeless. After giving birth to her second son, and trying to overcome the trama of her past, Falynn thought she found her knight in shining armor when she married the much older, wealthy business man Simon Guobadia. But her dream would eventually turn into a nightmare when she realized Simon only wanted her because she was broken. It is Falynn’s belief that Simon never wanted her to mature into an emotionally stable woman. She believes, the more she learned to love herself, the further apart they grew. As time went on infidelity crept into their marriage. Simon would leave for weeks, even months at a time to be with other women. This is when Falynn grew closer to Simon’s assistant Jaylan Banks. Note: Although it’s not mentioned in the book which was published in 2022, Falynn and Jaylan would appear on MTV’s reality show 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘙𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 in 2023. In 2025 Faylnn gave birth to their second child together. Today they are happily married with Falynn preparing to release her second book titled, I 𝘍𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘐𝘯 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱. Falynn has experienced a lot of hardships throughout her life. I applaude her for turning her pain into purpose by writing this book not only to tell her story, but also to provide insight and inspiration for other woman who may be in similar situations. For me, reading 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 was like eating a really good appetizer. It was savory, and it held my interest. Yet, it didn’t completely fill me up. At only 98 pages (111 pages including the blank pages for journaling), it was small in portion. Falynn did a great job of touching on the key moments in her life. But what was missing was the details that would’ve made it a full meal and completely satisfying. I’ve been a supporter of Falynn ever since I learned that Porsha swooped in and latched on to this woman’s husband. My heart went out to Falynn as the devastating betrayal played out on social media for the world to witness. Every time I saw a new clip, picture or post of Simon and Porsha together, I thought of Falynn. I’m so glad she has taken the opportunity to release her narrative. Now, I’m patiently waiting for the next book to arrive😊
