In a sleepy midwestern town, a sheriff’s deputy checks on a man the neighbors haven’t seen in days. He comes face to face with a grisly murder scene that will forever haunt his dreams. A serial killer is stalking the innocent.
Fugitive Logan Wolf wants to stop the madman, but his body has other ideas. A crippling sickness devours him from within. When the FBI sends Agent Scarlett Bell, his only friend in the world, to investigate the murders, Wolf demands that she allow him to accompany her.
But is Wolf in any shape to fight a psychotic killer?
Facing the most sadistic murderer she’s ever encountered, can Bell stop the madman and keep Wolf alive until sunrise?
Think you know the meaning of fear? The Killer Inside elevates terror to a whole new level in this new Logan and Scarlett thriller.
This fourth book was a great read! I enjoyed reconnecting with the characters and following the investigation. Great conclusion & I’m ready to read Book 5 now! Thank you Dan for writing such interesting books 📚
I've been reading books by Dan Padayona for some time. When the Logan and Scarlett series began, I was apprehensive about how it would turn out. With each passing book, I grow more engrossed with this story arc. Love it!
This is what you call a thriller. I could not put this book down. I read it all i n one night. This book I full of excitement. I can't wait till the next book comes out..I highly recommend this book and series.
Can't get better then one of Dan Padavona books. Especially if it's a Logan and Scarlett book. A great thrilling non-stop ride. Read this in one setting. Could not put it down.
This is the best series! Bell and Wolf are great characters. There are twists and turns in the plot and each story is unique. Well written, I could not out it down.
The Killer Inside is the fourth book in the Logan and Scarlett Serial Killer series. When FBI Agent Scarlett Bell is called to work yet another case, she leaves Logan Wolf behind hoping he can rest before going under the knife. But Wolf will not be pushed aside when a serial killer is loose even if his body is shutting down. Not only does Scarlett have to catch a madman, but she also needs to keep Logan alive, at least long enough to get him to a less then reputable doctor willing to operate on him. Little do they know that someone else has plans for them…plans that can cost them their lives. Dan Padavona has done it again. This book has great characters, a very interesting plot, vivid descriptions all wrapped up in a nail-biting, suspenseful, dramatic story. I love this team and look forward to their next adventure. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book had me on the edge of my seat, both with the killings and the situation with Wolf. It was very scary reading about how far his condition had worsened and the blackouts he was experiencing. I didn't see how it would have any conclusion except the obvious one. The killer was a force to be reckoned with as well. A monster of a man who picked people at random. I was even scared for the dog! Kudos to the author for wrapping it all up in a really crazy, heart pounding last few chapters that had me ignoring my family to get to the ending. Loved it and wish this series would never end. My only complaint is that is miss Gardy.
Dan Padavona did a great job of throwing a big surprise I didn't see coming. In my opinion this is a great continuation to the Logan and Scarlett series. I was kept on the edge of my seat turning pages. Dan Padavona gave me surprises, blood and suspense. The suspense end of the book comes from everywhere is Logan going to live, is Harold and Scarlett going to get caught and is the killer going to get caught. All questions are answered and more are brought up. In my opinion if you are a Dan Padavona fan he doesn't disappoint. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.
I was not impressed with this book at all. While the killings were intriguing, the characters -- including Bell and Wolf -- were not. First, they cast doubt on the job done by the CSIs, which didn't ring true. Next, Wolf's ability to function relatively normally considering what we was suffering from, was preposterous (as was his weird way of talking). And finally, Bell's observations took place long after I, myself, had come to the right conclusions. Not impressed AT ALL. No part was believable.
Enjoyed this trip with Scarlet and Logan as they searching for a serial killer in the boonies. I actually think the ending (I won't give it away) was kind of fitting. Looking forward to Scarlet's next adventure. Being a medical proffessional, I saw the prognosis coming. I guess it really doesn't matter the serial killer, although it makes the story more exciting, the real chemistry is what happens between Scarlet and Logan.
The evil ones are somewhat cookie-cutter. Unique, but predictably insane, soulless, empty shells.
The main characters, however conflicted, are quite interesting (although I certainly don’t encourage vigilante killings, no matter how righteous the intent).
Still, to let the imagination take flight in these novels is somehow satisfying albeit not practicable in real life.
A story to DIE for. The story has has Scarlett on her own, again. Profiling a killer of one person. But, what a way to to be killed. Logan drags himself across the country to help her but it's him who needs the help. Is Scarlett's head really into the murder investigation or Logan? Does she miss significant clues? How could nobody have heard anything?
Looking for a thrilling read? Look on further than Logan and Scarlett series. Outstanding storyline with characters that come to life. Also has more twists and turns than your favorite childhood rollercoaster. A must read series for those that love serial killer thrillers.
Author Padavona. never fails to entertain me! Every one of his novels are an adventure into unmentionable crime that seems impossible to solve but Agent Bell and Agent Wolf get it done. I totally love this authors work and consider myself a big fan.
The best Scarlett and Logan book. A truly dark story with so many unexpected things happening. A dangerous killer on the loose and Logan's health getting worse, and Scarlett not sure if she can trust him because of his illness. So many things happening at once.
This is a great book!!! Something is wrong with Logan and getting worse. Finally , he has someone who cares. I love the hunt for the serial killers and this author knows how to tell a story and keep your interest. I really appreciate reading a good book like this, and not having a lot of curse words involved.
i love this series, and every other series by dan padavona. i love seeing logan and scarlett’s very weird relationship develop across each book in this series, and we finally reached a very pivotal moment 👀 the murders in this book were so fascinating, idk how the author thinks up this stuff. it brought in an unconventional religious aspect this time, and i really enjoyed seeing that play out.
As soon as Scarlett Bell finished one case, her boss decided that must take on this new one. It was a gruesome murder, and one that the profiler's knew would lead to even more murders. It's a definite must read book and series that you won't want to miss! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
This, is my best series! I love reading about Bell and Wolf. I hope there is more to come and n this series. I’m amazed how you come up with these dangerous killer combos. You’re one of my favorite authors.
If you like "Silence of the Lambs", you'll love this thriller. No spoilers here, though! Scarlett Bell is at her best again in this fourth book of the series.
Holding my breath that we won't any time soon be turning the last page of the fighting duo of Wolf and Bell. Just wish the heads of the BAU weren't such jerks. Love this series.
WoW I am glued to these pages. Oh my gosh!!!! Edge of your seat thriller!!! So much going on yet easy to follow. Intriguing!!!! These books are amazinf!!!
