Banished Mates

Rate this book
A future Alpha mated to the lowest pack member? Of course no one considered Camden to be matched to the werewolf that couldn’t shift or speak. But I never expected my best friend to accept another mate.

I could stop their mating by showing him I wasn’t weak, I was an Omega… except my kind was thought to be extinct. The truth would put him in danger, so the only choice was to deny that side of myself.

Then Omega hunters found me.

After months of abuse, I had to save myself and shift—only to discover I had two mates, Kit and Rowan. Growly, gruff, and possessive, the twins showed me the tenderness I craved… then Camden re-appeared.

But I had bigger things to worry about, someone was still out to get me and I didn’t know who or where my enemies were. I needed to leave my mates before I caused them harm... even if the price I paid to keep them safe was my life.

If you enjoy knotting, purring, primal play, nesting, heats, ruts, possessive werewolves, and monster smut galore, you’ll love BANISHED MATES. No cliffhanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

I liked this one! However, I would've liked it better if the MC was better at making decisions, there were several moments I wanted to smack her. But there was a lot of smut so who needs a heroine who has sense?

The couple: Camden/Kit/Rowan and Willow

Romance trope: shifter; rh
Series: Omega Heat
Length: 272 pages

Plot: Willow is an anomaly in her pack: she can't shift. Not only that, she suffered an accident a few years earlier that left her mute. She's also in love with her best friend Camden but it seems that she doesn't have a chance, as he has to mate someone else to fulfill his alpha role. Not only that, she's also an omega, a rare breed that isn't always accepted, so she's worried about the pack's reception of her. Willow doesn't know though that Camden is in love with her, and when she is kidnapped, he'll do whatever it takes to get her back. But there are a couple more alphas who want their shot with Willow and when Camden finally finds her, there will be a reckoning.

Commentary: This isn't a story that I haven't read before. There are shifters, omegaverse, a reverse harem (why choose) and lots of sex. There's also a mystery, some kidnapping, proximity trope, secret identity (the omega thing, why she wouldn't shift), and an evil person pulling the strings. So a dime a dozen, really. But it was well written and the story had a good balance between the closed room aspect (when it was just them in the cabin) and the wider shifter world.

But the thing that really made it for me was the sex scenes. I have read thousands of romance novels and the sex is rarely revolutionary or unique in any way. But there was something about the scenes that just, they were just really hot. It's probably because there was the taboo aspect of shifting; sometimes her mates were in their half-man/half-wolf ("wolfman") forms and one mate even enjoyed a little tongue action when he was a full wolf. All of this after I swore to my husband that I definitely didn't read shifter books where one of them was an actual animal during sex. Nope, not me no way.

Next book in the series: Savage Mates

I loved the representation in this book!! Having a main character who has to deal with things that the average person doesn't is definitely different. The spice in this book is definitely spicing in this book!! I loved how Willow got to know her guys and how they put aside their differences to be there for her. My only gripe was that she was being a little....dumb. there was a lot of communication break downs that could have been solved by just having a conversation. Then she also ran off multiple times, then realized it was a bad idea after she was in bad situations....I'm like ma'am, didn't we JUST do this?! Overall it was a good read. Not great but I liked it.

Yesss!!!

Allie’s done it again! Willow and her story are perfectly heartbreaking in that she has been hiding the fact that she is an omega her entire life since her mom was one and abandoned her as a child.

Hiding her status as an omega means she can’t shift into a wolf ever or utilize any of her shifter traits. What happens when she has to?

This book was SO good! 10/10 would read again and have already read twice since receiving the ARC 😍

If you’re looking for a super spicy omegaverse book, you need to read this one! I loved Willow’s story and how strong she was! Her guys were her perfect counterparts and their relationships built so well as the book went. This was such a great second standalone book in the series!

Book 2 in a series of Standalones

💜Shifter Omegaverse RH MMMF
💜First person/ Multi POV
💜No MM
💜No cheating
💜Very little OW drama
💜Half shifter sex
💜A little bit of primal play
💜Secret Omega
💜Kidnapping/torture, attempted rape
💜Twins in harem

Harem- Willow, Camden, Kit and Rowan

Willow is a 28 year old secret omega. Her pack thinks she is defective since she can’t shift but she just pretends she can’t. Once she does, everyone will know she is an omega by her smell. Omegas in this world are thought to be extinct, and if she were to be found, bad things would happen. There was an incident that happened when she was younger that caused her to lose her voice, so now she uses ASL. I like that she stayed that way even after shifting. I didn’t like that she kept running away from her mates. Like she was too stubborn to just let them help her.

Camden is her best friend and future Alpha. They are both totally in love with eachother but neither say it out loud. Willow tells him after they lose their virginity together that they can only be friends. I really like the fact that he never sleeps with anyone else, he has only ever touched her throughout the whole book.

Willow is kidnapped on her way to work. The guy that has her keeps her for weeks. He brought her from the USA to Scotland. There is attempted rape from the bad guy, but doesn’t get far at all since she throws up on him. He tortures and starves her(this is told to us so there’s no details). One day he appears in the hole she is placed in and tells her he is moving her to another place. She manages to escape him and turns into her wolf to be able to fully escape. She ends up running into Rowan, who calls for his twin brother Kit. They both know instantly that Willow is their mate. Kit is jealous and doesn’t like that they have the same mate. I don’t think Rowan really cared as long as he got to have her lol

After weeks of searching for Willow, Camden finally finds her. And quickly discovers the other two. Camden and Kit definitely don’t get along at first…okay for most of the book but they eventually realize they are both meant for Willow and give up the dick swinging contest.

For the OW drama, Camden’s Alpha father is making him mate with someone other then Willow. Willow sees Camden on a date and confronts him. No they are not together at this time so no cheating. Nothing happens with the OW other then her trying to kiss Camden but he definitely doesn’t want to kiss her. There is another scene with Kit’s ex lover. She finds Kit and tries to get him to come back to the pack. Again, nothing happens with her, he wants her gone.

I really enjoyed this book and will definitely read again in the future! Liked this much better then the first! (That’s cuz I hate OW drama and manwhores lol)

Banished Mates

Willow is considered one of the weakest members of her pack, being that she can't shift or even speak. She's a mate to the future Alpha, but when he decides to take on another mate, she struggles with whether to tell him she's not actually weak, but in fact a previously thought to be extinct Omega. She doesn't get the chance to do so when Omega hunters find her and spends months being abused by them. She's rescued by a pair of twins who make her feel real love and heat. And then Camden comes back for her. Despite her love life flourishing, someone was still after her, and she needed to figure out who fast.

I loved the fact that the author put in an FMC who relied on ASL and couldn't actually speak throughout the entire story. Normally, with these types of characters in this genre, they magically begin speaking or overcome their difficulty. While it's great that a person can overcome a difficult, it's nice to have someone that doesn't have to in order to have a full story arc.

Camden, Kit, and Rowan are all different in their personalities. They all have the growly type personality, but they have different ways of taking care of Willow. I wasn't sure I wanted Camden back in the picture, but once he was back, I could see how much him being with Willow was worthwhile in the end. And let's not forget the steam! This book was jam-packed with it, and it was by far some of the best this author has written to date (in my opinion).

I only had one negative for this book, and it was the fact that the pacing fluctuated too much. We would go from quickly moving to the point where I would want more details to having scenes that felt too long and too detailed.

Willow is an Omega who doesn't shift nor speak. Her BFF Camden is next in line to be Alpha but he's also her mate. Unfortunately, with Willow's inability to shift Camden's family is pushing him to accept a more worthy mate.

Willow already was dealing with issues and the hits kept coming. She ends up kidnapped and sent to Scotland; she knew if she had any chance of survival she would need to shift. Willow didn't realize that shifting into her wolf was also going to bring her face to face with not 1 but 2 other mates.

Kit and Rowan are twins who were banished from their Pack. Kit was next in line to be Alpha but after Rowan went feral killing pack members he refused to put Rowen down and accepted being banished as long as he was with his brother. Kit and Rowan was like night and day. Kit being the level headed rational one and Rowan preferred his wolf form over his human form.

Camden was a good guy. When he got wind of Willow's disappearance he moved heaven and h3ll to find her. Imagine Camden's surprise to find his mate, Mated to twins.

Willow and her guys had some growing pains to go through. Willow wanted to keep them safe because her being an Omega kept a target on their back but she also had to deal with her mates accepting the fact that she was Mated to all of them.

Willow's fears aren't for naught because someone does want her gone and it's up to Cam, Kit and Rowan to put their differences aside to save their mate. Get ready for alot of Steam, Knotting, Purring, Heats and Mating because this story has it in droves

After reading Allie's other book Savage Mates, I was super excited to see her bring back that world! We meet Willow, who's an omega that can't shift and doesn't speak. She's got a best friend, Camden who is next to be alpha, he's also her mate but since she can't shift? Camden's family deems her unworthy to mate with the next Alpha in their pack. Pushing Camden to find a better-suited mate, even though he wants Willow is hard to witness.

Unfortunately, Willow ends up being kidnapped and shipped off to Scotland. She knows that if she wants to survive, she'll need to shift and reveal what she is so she can protect herself, and get out of danger. After she shifts, she comes face to face with twins, Kit and Rowan who couldn't be more different if they tried. They were formally part of a pack but after Rowan went feral killing pack members and Kit refusal to put his twin down, they were both banished.

Camden ends up going after Willow and moving heaven and earth to find her after he learns that she was taken. Finding her mated two twins that he doesn't know and realizing that she isn't just his any longer. Takes some getting used to for everyone involved.

Their problems don't end when they all find each other. Willow wants to keep the guys safe since her being an omega will knowingly bring danger to their doors. The guys also want to keep her safe and aren't willing to let her go, while Willow is also dealing with that she is mated to all of them.

This HEA is well fought and I was happy to see them actually attain it after everything they all went through.

This book was only slightly better than the first one.

Willow was a better version than the first FMC. Not great, mind you, but better. She, at least, had a backbone and stood up to the guys and other people. However, girlfriend made some DUMB decisions. Why was it necessary to leave the safety of your guys to fly across the world to confront the people responsible for your kidnapping BY YOURSELF? You can't fight? You can't speak? What was your main goal there? What did she think was going to happen? I think at one point she says she wants to find them to ask them why. Alright, but like what happens after that? Did she really think that he would let her go after her confrontation? She kept on saying how she didn't want to put the guys or her dad in danger, but by being so incredibly stupid, she put them in danger.

The guys were a also better versions than the first book guys. Once again, not great, but better. None of them really rejected her & also all of her angst about them was created by her in her own mind. She made up stuff about Camden in her mind to justify her actions, instead of talking with him. Granted, Camden could have been a lot more forthcoming, but men, amiright?. Kit and Rowen. Not a lot to say about them I suppose. They were just there to fill out the story. They didn't provide any unique character or plot details. The author needed 2 other people, and there they were.

I really enjoyed this book!

The story was great, and I enjoyed the characters, especially Rowan with his more feral-ness. It's nice to see Alphas be more than gentleman, or raving beasts, but somewhere in the middle where they can run on instinct whilst looking after their Omega.

BUT

As a Scot, I am pained. The Scottish vocab in books when authors don't double-check things pains me. We really don't say lass as much as people think we do, and that is down to shows like Outlander etc. but I can forgive that, because, if I'm honest, I like that we have a thing in fiction about it. But I can't really forgive saying nae by itself as 'no' or 'not' and parts like do nae should be changed to 'dinnae' as that properly reflects the way we say it. Shouldnae, wouldnae, willnae.

Anyway, small angry Scottish lady ramblings aside, I overall thought the book was well-written. I always love the kidnapping trope, especially when it leads them to fated mates. It just tickles my heart, and fated mates is always up there for me as well. I loved Kit and his story, protecting his brother despite his rampages, and the banter when Camden comes into the picture.
Having an FMC who can't verbally communicate is nice too, and the fact that her mates learn ASL for her is sweet as heck.

Definitely a good read, despite the frustrated bagpipes in the background.

4.5 stars - i loved this book!!
first of all, the cover is really freaking cute. second of all, i love these characters. i liked the slight angst/grovel from camden in the beginning, and i really loved the twins.
i found myself liking the twins even more, and rowan being my favourite because of how ott possessive and obsessive they were.

i also really loved the heroine and how she didn’t get “cured/fixed” after she shifted, and remained having the ability to not speak. i thought it was really interesting, and it allowed us to see how much the men cared about her to learn how to communicate with her.

i was kinda confused halfway through-ish, when the girl from the twin’s old pack came, and they kinda took? the fmc and also introduced the existence of a kid omega?? i still don’t really know why that happened and was literally so confused when i read that so i ended up completely disregarding it hahah

but overall, loved this book- the interactions between everyone, the differences in personality, and also the really good steamy scenes <333

Um nope

She never changed her behavior. Ever. Run away. Don't confront anything. Except the 1 time she does because the author needs another rescue scene. Because apparently constantly being rescued is this chick's purpose in life. And she should have needed an entire 5gal tub of chapstick for all the lip licking. So if you enjoy TSTL FMCs that never evolve, guys that don't listen to her, and worlds that don't get any better because they choose to hide rather than push back, this is the book for you. Ugh.
Also, major trigger warnings for:
Kidnapping, assault, sexual assault, threats of rape, mates ignoring the word no- all 3 of them, human trafficking that's never resolved or even planned to be stopped, betrayals, a mate trying to inspire jealousy by being seen with a potential mate on a date (added because it's a weak and idiotic trope and smacks of cheating), and a FMC that is told that omegas are highly fertile but doesn't use birth control and is surprised to be pregnant.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. Banished Mates was everything I wanted it to be but it was also so freaking much more. Allie has a way with words that as you read them they strike something deep in your soul and our FMC Willow is spectacular. This woman right here is stronger than even she knows. Our Alphas Camden, Kit and Rowan are protective, possessive and yummy goodness. Kit is everything for me in this book his struggles his inner fight just everything and the special moment with him and Willow well be still my beating heart it was freaking everything I needed. This book has plenty of twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat and a wham pam I didn’t see coming. I love how we get to see each characters growth over the course of their story and that ending was *chefs kiss*. I absolutely cannot wait to see what this author brings to us next. Amazing read!

Allie Santos does it again! Another story added to my favorites!
Willow is love with her best friend Camden, but she thinks he is friends with her out of pity because she can't shift into a wolf and she is mute, so she tells him to find an appropriate she-wolf to mate with. While out getting coffee, she gets a kidnapped, after weeks she manages to she manages to break free and there she meets her other mates "the twins". The story goes on with her bonding with her mates, reconnecting with Camden, her third mate, and solving the mystery of her kidnapping.
This is an Omega sweet verse with lots of love, Dominant alpha's, a feral over the top possessive alpha who loves getting petted and purring for his mate.
I loved how Willow wasn't made into that the perfect omega mate and wasn't dependent on others because she was mute. I also liked how her mates didn't automatically get along with each other just because they all mated her.

Hot Omegaverse and Monster Love

I dont even know where to begin with this book, I was enthralled from the beginning when we first met Willow, the fmc, who can not speak after a tragic accident. She is spying on her bff Camden, whom she is in love with but thinks she can not have due to her hiding her true self. After an incident where she was kidnapped and escaped, she meets Kit and Rowan, twin Scottish brothers who happen to be her mates. Due to her outing as an omega, she puts not only herself but her mates in danger. Once Camden is back in the picture, her heart is torn, and loyalties are really pushed for her. Willow learns a lot through this book, and acceptance and assurance that she is enough are the two biggest lessons she learns to her HEA with her mates. This book takes you on a wild ride, has twins with Scottish accents and broody attitudes, and, of course, some monster love.

An Excellent Read

I really liked this book. I loved that the MC wasn't able to speak, and it accurately depicted some of the issues that someone who needs to use ASL around people who don't speak it are likely to have.

I love the way Willow came around and ended up with all her mates. They are overbearing and overprotective, but it ends up being the best thing that ever happened to her.

I also loved that Camden didn't get everything he wanted at the beginning and actually had to work and be willing to compromise cause at the beginning of the book he was definitely the as^$^le that I wanted to get his comeuppance 🤣🤣.

Overall this was a really excellent why choose novel with some excellent spice and a little drama thrown in at specific intervals.

Looking forward to the next book that comes out!

Willow was in love with her childhood friend, Camden, but thought they could never be together. She was kidnapped and ended up in Scotland where she met Rowan and Kit, who ended up being her mates. That's when this book starts getting spicy. Rowan is feral, OTT crazy possessive, Kit is more level-headed but still overprotective. Willow's character was frustrating to read about, she seemed to have no sense of self-preservation, she kept getting into dangerous situations despite having 3 capable Alpha mates to help her. The spice in this book is great (heads up, there is partial shifted mating in this book). I liked this book more than the first. Allie Santos knows how to write quality RH shifter p̶o̶r̶n̶ romance novels.

It’s been so long since I’ve read a wolf shifter book and this was such a great book to jump back in. The story line was catching without the spice but it was such a prominent part of the book that it didn’t feel lost.
The mating and spice come on was hot and fiery! It was simple or left as an afterthought it was well detailed and was easy to keep up with.
The FMC was so dang stubborn and sometimes I wanted to slap her silly to be like what are you doing 😂 her mates were just as stubborn if not more but each character really held their own.

I picked this up super quick since the author asked if anyone wanted an arc and I was impressed.

I very spicy shifter romance. Being an omega means to hide what you are and to never shift. For Willow it means not telling the one person who means the most to her what she is. Life seems to be throwing everything at her. He is her best friend and love of her life but he is also an alpha. Which brings a whole slew of problems. Then even more danger will turn her life upside down. Her secret may save her or doom her.

The story gets insanely hot and it is a reverse harem. Willow does not have to choose. The males have three forms and things do heat up in the wolf man form as well as their human form. There is nothing done while in their wolf form.

Willow is an unrevealed Omega, hiding her true nature for fear of discovery. This means that she’s unable to claim the man she loves. A series of events lead her on a new path, one filled with danger, but also with hope.
I enjoyed the world created by Santos, the story had a great flow and the characters were engaging. Willow, while not physically strong, is definitely a tough cookie.
Camden, Kit and Rowan brought their own personalities to the table, each offering Willow something the others couldn’t. The relationship development was great to watch, and I’m looking forward to more from this author.

This book took a twist on the normal omegaverse books you’ll read. While in every omega book I’ve read they are always rare and precious, the darker side isn’t always shown. Allie definitely has a way of pulling you in right away and making you fall in love. One thing that has always fascinated me in when a character is deaf and ASL is involved. Seeing how other characters adapt. Kit, Rowan, and Camden are absolutely perfect for Willow, even when she’s doubting herself. I absolutely loved this story and would love more from their future💜💜

This is my kind of RH!

Willow a secret Omega can never be herself. In a society where Omegas are used for mostly selfish means, she hides her true nature, even from the man she has loved since childhood. Resigned to allow him to mate another, she is suddenly kidnapped and we find fate has much more in store for her. Will she ever be able to find her forever after?

If you love stories of fated mates fighting against the norm , action, and a whole lot of beastly steamy scenes, this is your book. Forever loves and hot Scottish twins…get a fan ready. You will need it.

Banished Mates by Allie Santos is the second in the Omega Heat series. We meet Willow, an Omega in hiding, who is mute from an accident in her youth. Her best friend Camden is the future pack leader and needs to find an appropriate mate. Due to some bad things happening, Willow meets Kit and Rowan in Scotland. I really enjoyed reading Willow's story. I loved that she was such a strong, smart FMC who knows her worth. There are some TW to look out for. No cheating. No bullying by Willow's guys. Lots of spice, and love. Enjoyed this and looking forward to the next book in this series.

Drama? Check. FMC overcoming a disability? Check. Spice? Checkkkkkk. Possessive alpha males who love the FMC unconditionally? Triple check.

This book was amazing. I loved how the FMC wasn’t just a roll over and take it kind of girl. She put her mind to something and did it, even if she did it alone. I love that there was no cheating and only love. Unconditional love. There was some ups and downs, but they all came together in the end and were a happy family. And let’s just talk about those wolves she has wrapped around her finger…. Hotttttt. Where can I get me some??

Yes yes yes yes! This was everything I expected - knotting, purring, ruts, alpha males who are possessive and primal and would no absolutely anything for their mate!

Willow is a strong FMC mentally to endure the life she has, to keep secrets from the ones she loves to protect them. I’m sure it hurt to hide that part of herself.

Camden, Kit, and Rowan.. what a trio! I couldn’t get enough of them. And when they shift during those intimate moments “wink wink”… so hot.

And that epilogue!! Yessss!
