To call this a novella or even a short story is a stretch of the imagination on all fronts. There is no plot whatsoever, just a steamy, spicy scene! If you like a good bdsm scene, then this short take is definitely for you as it will get your blood pumping if you are into a good spanking. Of all the short scenes or novellas that the author has tossed out as add ons to the original series, this one had the least amount of plot, but it was still a fun read and only takes a few minutes. Overall, it's entertaining and takes no time to read so enjoy a spicy scene and move on.

A Ryan Rewind was a third short story following the New York Ruthless series about the four Ryan brothers and their shared wife, Jessie.
Jessie confronted her husband, Shane about how much he had changed in the seven months since the twins were born. She told him that she missed his disciplining her whenever she pissed him off. He told her they still did that, but Jessie said he was more sweet towards her than he was the old A$$h*le he used to be. The following day, he reverted to type and proved to her that he was still the same person she remembered. But when he gave he what she wanted, she wasn't so certain anymore because he took things to a whole new level she wasn't expecting.
Short, hot, and to the point. There was a bit more angst in this novella due to the nature of the role-playing, but it was the spiciness that tipped it over the edge into being good. Still, I only gave it a three-star rating because it was so limited in content.

This quick rewind is such a great representation of how relationships and the people in them change and grow as life happens and children come into the picture. It's a sweet nod to being able to glance back at what once was while still embracing what is. While Jessie feels like she's missing something she realizes that maybe the new dynamic is just as good, and the whole story is told with fire spice and an amazing accent to the plot of the original full-length novels!

You turned him from the alpha of the pack into a pussy cat… but one whisper of wanting that fierce lion back and he is putting on a show to remind you just how much you love that wild, dangerous and untamed side… and you love it!
Great little short story that certainly take you back to the early days of their relationship. Loved it.

Shane Ryan has a filthy mouth!
Holy role playing Batman! Not gonna lie, I was not Shane Ryan’s biggest fan during the New York Ruthless series. He really was an alphahole. That being said… this short was so freaking hot! We really got to see the character growth of Shane and see how Shane and Jessie’s relationship has changed. We could really see the love, even when Shane was being “Old Shane” we could see the love. Such a good read, loved it!

Plus it is a good reminder of what happens when what started as a toxic relationship can get healthy but still also play on that past in a healing way.

So happy to be able to read some more about them.
It was such a quick read. I think less then 80 pages but I am completely in love with these short stories.
It was such a lovely and cute addition.
Currently waiting for my chistmas short story to come in the mail but i am so excited to read some more about them. And the christmas one is 140 pages which makes me even more excited to read.

the spice on this one i liked the most. it was more of a one on one. with Jessie & Shane
jessie told Shane she felt like he treated her differently after she had the twins. because she tries to push his buttons so he gets mad & punishes her.
then she finally gets the punishment she’s been wanting for awhile !

This is Shane and Jessie's moment. When she confessed that she missed one of Shane's personalities before their kids were born, things didn't turn out what she was expecting when he gave her a taste of what she had missed.
It is a must to read the whole series from the start before dwelling on these short stories.

Great short
This is a great short story for Jesse and Shane. I was a little worried when he took in that room but knowing how far he has come I knew he wouldn’t hurt her. I love home much he cares and loves her.
