I’m so happy right now❤️ Happily ever afters make me happy😭
Addie and me are besties now so yes, I love this book and her story. Watching her go from high school to a college student has been so much fun especially since we’re basically the same age and in the same stage of life. She’s awesome and watching her grow was the best. Can we just talk about Dean Hunter right now?? He’s the bestest. Always Team Dean.❤️ I wanna guy like him because ahhh! Love himmm s’much!
Nowww I also loved Chase. He was really fun and hilarious and basically just a fun guy all-around that i ended up loving! So I was torn with the love triangle because I didn’t want anyone getting hurt but I’m happy with how it all played out. ☺️
Bec is such a great best friend. She’s so fun and quirky! I loved seeing her and Addie’s friendship as they’re now roommates. It was just really fun to read about these two! They’re bestie goals.
The love story gives me ALL the fangirl feels and made me soo happy. It’s sweet and beautiful and I LOVE these two so much!
Like I said when I read the first book, I love how the book isn’t solely based on the romance and nothing else. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the love story but I also love getting all the other aspects of Addie’s life. Her relationship with her parents, her friendship with Bec, her college life, dealing with her insecurities, and life as a writer.
I love how this book shows that insecurities do come back. They don’t just magically go away for good whenever you decide to look past them. It’s a constant struggle to replace lies with truth. The author shows realistically how your insecurities can affect not just you, but those you love too.
I love Addie because she is soo relatable, so real. She has real insecurities just like everybody does. She isn’t perfect and she does doubt herself a lot. I found her super relatable and when I find characters in books I relate to strongly, I instantly feel like we’re best friends. It’s a great feeling. Honestly, I love all of these characters for that same reason. They all have flaws and that’s what makes them feel real! (even Dean Hunter)😉
Anyways, I just loved getting a sequel to Chasing Him! Revisiting these characters was the best. This is the kind of YA contemporaries I love. Nothing huge ever really happens. It’s just real characters who face real life doing every day things, facing everyday struggles, and it’s relatable!
I LOVED these two books! I’d recommend them mostly to older teens since I think they’d be more relatable for that age 16+
This sequel to Chasing Him is one emotional ride! The love triangle aspect had me on the edge of my seat a few times, not sure how things would turn out for Addie while she waits for Dean to return from his gap year in Mexico.
The first part of the book I cruised along and then things got real. Whether Addie was ready to face becoming an adult or not, life came at her fast and furious. It was frustrating because well, she’s still learning but then so satisfying watching as she started understanding the power she had over her life.
There was romance in this book but also real life lessons. Dean and Chase are both attractive leading men but I admit I’ve always been team Dean. A great YA novel and worth the read!
