My daughter is now two but I still found this an extremely helpful and useful guide to postpartum recovery, thinking back to my own experience and what I would change if I decide to have another child. I was a bit worried it may not be relevant as I had a planned C-section, however there was plenty of useful information on recovery after an abdominal birth and scar recovery. My takeaway from this book was that I did not care enough for myself and my recovery after birth, as all the attention at the time was on the newborn and reading this gave me new perspective on how to treat family/friends in the 4th trimester and perhaps myself in the future.

I received a free review copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest unedited feedback.
Thank you to Netgalley, Pinter & Martin and the author.

I am currently 5weeks postpartum so when I saw this book I thought perfect, this book is for me and I wasn't disappointed.

This book is educational yet reassuring. As a first time mom, I read up on how to take care of my newborn yet I didn't read anything on how to take care of myself. I was given advice from family and friends, so when I entered the 4th trimester I was a little overwhelmed. Through reading this book however, I feel more confident in my body, I know what I am experiencing is "normal" and what to expect in the future.

Lyanne tells it as it is and is very honest on her experience which I really enjoyed. It was relatable and an enjoyable read.

Thank you to the author and netgalley for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

When I picked this book, I was currently pregnant. I have not had a physical child in over 10 years. I pick it up to mentally prepare me for what to expect (again) and this book did that for me.

It was very detail and clear, and did not sugar coat anything. I would have love a book like this 10 year ago.

Lyanne covers everything in this book and it’s all relevant. It felt so nurturing to know I was not alone with some of what I experienced postpartum. It’s basically a bible for postpartum that no woman should be without, especially as this period in a woman’s life can be different each time. Excellent book, highly recommended.
